 Another pretty sketch from Sketch Saturday #763 - I love tags! When I finally settled on my sentiment for this one, I realized I'd have to turn the sketch - go me! I just really wanted to use this big beautiful "Christmas" in our Peaceful Season stamp set - so many combinations to build with this one! I placed the "Christmas" at an angle in Real Red, then added my "Merry" in Old Olive over it. Then I decided to add the "Cheer All Year" below - really makes a nice balance! I set up my DSP background using the Take A Bow DSP pack, and finished up my tag details with twine and peppermints. Kind of simple - but so festive!  Such awesome wintry colors we have for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #451! I couldn't resist bringing on the peppermint for this one - how about in cocoa?? It's a cinch with our sweet little More Than Autumn bundle, lol. I first found this sweet plaid sheet of Balmy Blue for my background, then I jumped right into setting up the hot cocoa! At the last second, I switched from whipped cream to marshmallows, I really do love either! I tucked in some little canes, and then finally figured out how to set up my sentiment - Nested Essentials to the rescue! I can't wait to see what YOU make with our yummy colors - meet you at the challenge! Oo, this could be really elegant! Inspire Create Challenges #180 has a shades of gray challenge! I decided I really wanted to play with my Encircled in Nature bundle - it has a lot of elegant details I can use, and I don't use it enough, lol. I started by stamping the twig wreath and some trees onto a Smoky Slate background, then I layered on some diecut details as well, before adding a tiny sentiment. I finished with a few Basic Gray Pearls, too. I tweaked a little, and in the end had to call it good - not sure I pulled off my "elegant" goal here - though it's definitely prettier in person, lol. Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, who's the cutest sketch of all? Sunday Stamps #348, that's who! Sorry, I couldn't resist, but that's the first thing that popped in my head when I saw this one! Luckily, I'm playing with shapes a bit, too! I decided to do a sweet Christmas card, with a set that I haven't used nearly enough - Shepherd's Care! I did a broad starry background using the retired O Holy Night DSP, then used a Nested Essentials die for my main shape. I'm all in blues this round with Night of Navy, but I smudged a few spots of the image with a blender pen! I added this calm sentiment, and a big embossed star to finish. So pretty! I started by setting up a Take to the Sky DSP background, and then did up a trio of planes in Night of Navy, Boho Blue & Pumpkin Pie - it's an airshow! I stuck in some strategic clouds to make up more elements of the sketch - I might be a little obscure today, lol. I did finish with a few Smoky Slate Pearls, too - I might be throwing in everything I have in the right colors, lol. I knew right away I was totally pulling out my old Acorny Thank You set for this one - all the way from 2015, and I STILL get a kick out of punching mix and match acorns with it, lol. I went for some Fall-ish colors this time, and pulled in this pretty background from our retired Plaid Tidings DSP - such a perfect variety of colors and plaids! Then I went to town on my acorns, first stamping a mix of the nuts, then going back and adding hats to them all, lol. I finally settled on the big sentiment acorn to finish - sometimes that's all you need to say! I can't wait to see YOUR acorns or seeds - meet you at the challenge! After some thought, I rummaged through my "mixed holidays" sets, and found Gift Givers from 2011 - STILL a great set! Anyway, I think this is my first time using this turkey image - yes! He was so handsome, I did him up two coordinating buddies to hang out, too, so they won't be lonely, lol. Quick and super fun - definitely brought a smile to my face! I couldn't resist trying for a Christmas card with these - I've really been getting in to non-traditional colors for the holidays! I decided 2022's Spruced Up would be a good choice - with a quick home-made background for different colored trees, I could get in all these colors! I'm pretty happy with how this came out - and I'm so glad I decided to heat-emboss the sentiment on Gorgeous Grape to finish, too - so much whimsy! I made him a gorgeous African Tundra background using some of the sunset sheets from my old Enjoy the Journey DSP, and then added some terrain and banyan trees in Black - I love the contrast!
