I've been waiting for this challenge to get here, so I could finally play more with my Reach For The Stars stamp set - I've been using the heck out of the DSP, but I haven't really explored the image stamps yet. I couldn't wait to stamp up this space shuttle, and I wanted to add some color details to match the awesome cosmic paper!  So fun - Can You Handle the Pressure would love to see something nautical this round! Hearing "nautical" sent me straight to my On The Ocean set - love the possibilities with this bundle! I also couldn't help but pull out my retired Waves of the Ocean DSP, too, lol - I think this crazy heat (even for us!) is driving all my thoughts to the sea! I added a Balmy Blue layer over my DSP, that I embossed with our new Twisted Rope EF, so love it! I think I might have covered it up too much, though, lol. I tucked in my ship and some clouds, too - stormy out there! I figured there might be a lot of Brewed For You cards coming out this round, so I went back a bit and used 2019's Bubble Over, with a little help from 2018's Mixed Drinks set. I layered up some Distressed Gold paper with Very Vanilla and some Early Espresso DSP, then used the same gold in my bottle labels and caps - very cool look! I found the tiny "Cheers!" sentiment in Mixed Drinks, along with some smaller bubbles - perfect! So I covered, Brown, Gold, Cheers Sentiment, Beer, Masculine, Bubbles and Bottles - whew! Today I decided to break in my new Beach Bound set from Newton's Nook, which I acquired after winning a challenge at Time Out Challenges! What a great way to dabble in different sets! It even has dies! I set my station wagon in these lovely Melon Mambo mountains, which we have to cross before any beaches come along, lol. Oo, The Library Challenge #83 has a cool cover this round - The Life and Loves of a She-Devil! This looks like an intense read - but the cover is fascinating! I decided to play with my favorite lighthouse for this one, the now-retired Lighthouse Point. I love these dies! Anyway, I went with a Night of Navy & White color scheme to honor the colors of the cover, and my girlfriend Sarah hit on the genius idea of using the Patchwork Pieces dies for my curvy "rays!" So of course my sentiment had to go on this Cherry Cobbler oval to complete the layout, lol. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself, lol. Love it! I just had to break out my newly acquired Horse & Sleigh suite for this one - super cute stamps, as always, but woo, the DSP is amazing! I pulled this snowy lodge night scene to get me started, and added this lovely tall pine! This seemed like the perfect sentiment to go with it, too - don't you want to just snuggle up in front of the fire in there?? We're focusing on the sentiment this week at Sunday Stamps #314 - front and center! I got a chance to browse some different stamp sets recently at a stampin' retreat - so much fun! One that I jumped at was Good Feelings - I didn't get this one, but SO perfect for a big front and center sketch like ours! I chose this happy sentiment to fit a landscape orientation a bit better, and matched it with this sunny DSP from our old Dandy Designs pack - I still have a bit of this one left, and I can't let go of the cheery color combos! I finished with this pretty Petal Pink ribbon and some bold Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems! Yum! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our fun sketch this round - meet you at the challenge! Those pretty droplets are from the Tinsel Gems 3-pack! It all came together on rails!
