Let's head out to the Final Frontier this round with our space travel theme at Make My Monday #206! I've been waiting for this challenge to get here, so I could finally play more with my Reach For The Stars stamp set - I've been using the heck out of the DSP, but I haven't really explored the image stamps yet. I couldn't wait to stamp up this space shuttle, and I wanted to add some color details to match the awesome cosmic paper! I think NASA really needs to start adding some Berry Burst racing stripes to theirs! I can't wait to see YOUR space-faring projects for this round - meet you at the challenge! Reach For The Stars Stamp Set; Stargazing DSP; Basic White, Lemon Lolly & Berry Burst CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Berry Burst & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Blender Brush; Berry Burst Blends Marker; Reach For The Stars & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #MMM206.

So fun - Can You Handle the Pressure would love to see something nautical this round! Hearing "nautical" sent me straight to my On The Ocean set - love the possibilities with this bundle! I also couldn't help but pull out my retired Waves of the Ocean DSP, too, lol - I think this crazy heat (even for us!) is driving all my thoughts to the sea! I added a Balmy Blue layer over my DSP, that I embossed with our new Twisted Rope EF, so love it! I think I might have covered it up too much, though, lol. I tucked in my ship and some clouds, too - stormy out there! On The Ocean Stamp Set; Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired); Basic White & Balmy Blue CS; Pacific Point (retired) & Gray Granite Inks; On The Ocean & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Twisted Rope EF; Blender Pen; Rustic Metallic Dots; #CYHTPNautical. Now, HERE'S one to celebrate - Festive Friday #0139 is all about International Beer Day! There were some great choices to play on the inspo list for this one, and to my surprise I managed 7! So fun! I figured there might be a lot of Brewed For You cards coming out this round, so I went back a bit and used 2019's Bubble Over, with a little help from 2018's Mixed Drinks set. I layered up some Distressed Gold paper with Very Vanilla and some Early Espresso DSP, then used the same gold in my bottle labels and caps - very cool look! I found the tiny "Cheers!" sentiment in Mixed Drinks, along with some smaller bubbles - perfect! So I covered, Brown, Gold, Cheers Sentiment, Beer, Masculine, Bubbles and Bottles - whew! Bubble Over (retired 2019) & Mixed Drinks (retired 2018) Stamp Sets; Early Espresso DSP; Very Vanilla CS; Distressed Gold Specialty Paper; Early Espresso & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Bottles & Bubbles Dies (retired); Cherry Cobbler Matte Decorative Dots; #FF0139. We have the perfect fill-in-the-blank for you this round at As You See It #304 - who doesn't have SOMETHING they love about summer?? For me, what I love most about summer is the travel! The beach is good, or mountains, or theme parks - it's ALL good! Today I decided to break in my new Beach Bound set from Newton's Nook, which I acquired after winning a challenge at Time Out Challenges! What a great way to dabble in different sets! It even has dies! I set my station wagon in these lovely Melon Mambo mountains, which we have to cross before any beaches come along, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR favorite summer plans - meet you at the challenge! Beach Bound Stamp Set (Newton's Nook); Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight & Blueberry Bushel Blends Markers; Horse & Sleigh Dies; Orange Baker's Twine; Solid Faceted Gems in Melon Mambo; #AYSI304. Oh gosh, this round's Shopping Our Stash #501 is "no stamping allowed!" I have mixed feelings about this, lol. We have so many amazing stamps! As usual though, I've bounced back pretty easily, lol, because I remembered all these die cut pieces I still have in my retired He's the Man DSP. I was able to put together this whole card front without a single stamp! I had to be really careful to not pile on too much stuff, in fact, lol, I have a TON of tiny little bits and bobs from that die sheet - I limited myself to this trio of coordinating stars! I did stamp INSIDE the card, but I don't think that should count! He's All That Stamp Set (inside card); He's The Man DSP (retired); Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; All That Dies; #SOS501. Pumpkin Club July 29! Oo, The Library Challenge #83 has a cool cover this round - The Life and Loves of a She-Devil! This looks like an intense read - but the cover is fascinating! I decided to play with my favorite lighthouse for this one, the now-retired Lighthouse Point. I love these dies! Anyway, I went with a Night of Navy & White color scheme to honor the colors of the cover, and my girlfriend Sarah hit on the genius idea of using the Patchwork Pieces dies for my curvy "rays!" So of course my sentiment had to go on this Cherry Cobbler oval to complete the layout, lol. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself, lol. Love it! Lighthouse Point Stamp Set (retired 2023); Basic White, Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy & Cherry Cobbler CS; Night of Navy & Versamark Inks; White EP; Lighthouse (retired), Patch Pieces & Stitched Shapes (retired) Dies; Silver Pearls; #TLC83. We're visiting the diagonal this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #419! I had a hard time choosing my papers to get me started with this one - and I wanted to try something different! I finally spotted my retired pack of By The Bay DSP, and really liked this fish sheet. It sort of reminds me of The Chosen's "different" theme, which led me to my Courage & Faith set, lol. See how my mind works?? Anyway, I really went with more subtle colors than I usually do, but I really like how this came together, and such a great quote! I can't wait to see YOUR takes on our tilty sketch this round - meet you at the challenge! Courage & Faith Stamp Set; By The Bay DSP; Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink & Pool Party CS; Pecan Pie Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Painted Textures EF; Soft Sea Foam Sheer Ribbon; Whale of a Time Sequins (retired); #HSS419. I'm so excited by Christmas Craft Creations' "Anything Goes/Christmas in July" theme! AND, there's a DT call - fun! I just had to break out my newly acquired Horse & Sleigh suite for this one - super cute stamps, as always, but woo, the DSP is amazing! I pulled this snowy lodge night scene to get me started, and added this lovely tall pine! This seemed like the perfect sentiment to go with it, too - don't you want to just snuggle up in front of the fire in there?? A few adhesive-backed snowflakes and this rustic bow finish things off - I'd love to spend Christmas there soon! Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set; One Horse Open Sleigh DSP; Basic White & Mossy Meadow CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Early Espresso Inks; Mossy Meadow & SU100 Blends Markers; Horse & Sleigh and Nested Essentials Dies; Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes; Linen Thread; #CCCJuly23. We're focusing on the sentiment this week at Sunday Stamps #314 - front and center! I got a chance to browse some different stamp sets recently at a stampin' retreat - so much fun! One that I jumped at was Good Feelings - I didn't get this one, but SO perfect for a big front and center sketch like ours! I chose this happy sentiment to fit a landscape orientation a bit better, and matched it with this sunny DSP from our old Dandy Designs pack - I still have a bit of this one left, and I can't let go of the cheery color combos! I finished with this pretty Petal Pink ribbon and some bold Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems! Yum! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our fun sketch this round - meet you at the challenge! Good Feelings Stamp Set; Dandy Designs DSP (retired); Basic White, Calypso Coral & Petal Pink CS; Calypso Coral Ink; Ribbon Duo Pak; Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems; #SSC314. I can finally JUST sneak in to The Sisterhood of Crafters this round, for their "in the garden" theme! Yay! I couldn't resist going back to my Dainty Delight set for this one - so many pretty stems! I spotted this sheet in the retired Tea Boutique pack - great colors in this one! Taking my cue from the paper, I did up my little blossoms in Fresh Freesia with touches of Orchid Oasis. Those pretty droplets are from the Tinsel Gems 3-pack! It all came together on rails! Dainty Delight Stamp Set; Tea Boutique DSP (retired); Basic White & Fresh Freesia CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Fresh Freesia, Orchid Oasis & Granny Apple Green Blends Markers; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Tinsel Gems 3-Pack in Fresh Freesia; #TSOCInTheGarden. |
