 Oo, what a sweet collection of pinks at Hand Stamped Sentiments #481! This seemed like a job for our new A Rainbow of Thanks set - let's paint! I chose the roller brush for this one, and set it up with three swaths of the pink colors. I decided to add a little somethin' by stamping the brushes on scrap and fussy cutting them for some extra dimension, along with the sentiment. So simple, but so fun - this is sure to bring a smile to someone's face!  OK, we want to see your sugar rush! The theme this round at As You See It #366 is CANDY! I found a lot of chocolate sets I could play with today, but I really wanted to do something with hard candy today - isn't that inspiration pic yummy?? I picked it out myself, lol. But the only hard candy I could find was candy canes! (Did I loan someone my Sweetest Thing bundle?? It is MIA, lol, and would have been perfect for this!) Anyway, in my opinion, one can never have too many Candy Canes, OR Christmas Cards, lol, so it all works out! I found this fun background paper in my old Sweet Stockings DSP pack, and then I did up a little tumble of classic candy canes for it. It was super quick to slip in the little leaf sprigs here and there, and then add my favorite "Merry & Bright" sentiment from the set. A few blue Traditional Sparkling Sequins finishes things off! I started by browsing my retired shelves for a swirly stamp element - and I spotted Wild Ferns, which only retired last year! I figured a few of the fern images would be perfect for the "swirls,", but then the dies reminded me that I could do a take on this sketch with ALL the elements, lol. I had totally forgotten the awesome tag shapes for the sentiments, and then of course those detailed corners - perfect! I started with a subtle Basic Beige background, which I stamped all over with the fiddlehead fern in Soft Sea Foam. I stamped up this sweet sentiment in Mossy Meadow, cut it out with the largest tag, and then backed it with this lacy corner detail in more Soft Sea Foam - just perfect! I added a Birthday sentiment in the bottom corner and finished with some Pearls of Beauty - love them! I started by pulling my inks - Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Pretty Peacock and Boho Blue seemed like the closest match to me! When I browsed my shelves with these in hand, Layers of Beauty leapt out! But, I knew I'd have to trim down that extravagant floral image - no problem! I ended up using the layering masks to color up the whole thing, and then trimming out the two largest blooms - and have the remainders tucked in the die sleeve for a rainy day, too, lol. I kept the layers all white, and finished with this "grateful" sentiment, and three of the smallest Boho Blue Glossy Dots. Love it! You KNOW I had to do something that included that "purple" square, right?? So I opted for the top row - purple, stencil, gems! I first dug through my ;little stack of stencils, and landed on the Artistic Mix pack - I could do a sort of faux plaid in two different shades! I also set a mask from the same pack for my sentiment before I started - There's another stencil of two tag shapes, but I kept the punch outs from them just so I could do this! I went to town with a Blending Brush and two purples, Fresh Freesia & Berry Burst. Then I went back and added the sentiment from 2024's Heartfelt Hellos - simple and classy! I finished with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, of course! I can't wait to see your play on our tic-tac-toe - and don't forget to make it retro! Speaking of "scrappy," how about a passel of yappy-scrappy pups for this one?? You know how I get when I see the words "any shape," lol. I have a few really nice sled sets, or skates, or even skis - very elegant and realistic. But, I decided, I feel like an ice-skating moose today - he clearly has the grace to conquer it all! I so love the critters in our Christmas Friends set from 2024, I was delighted to pull them out today! I had some fun coloring in my moose, and a couple trees, and then creating a little ice arena for him, too, lol. I kept things fairly simple with this pretty Pool Party background, and finished with a few Lost Lagoon Rainbow Dots. So fun!
