 Oh, super fun! FarmQuest #83 is all about fungi! Eeee! So I took a little detour to check out the papers in my Cute As A Bug DSP pack, because there ARE some cute mushrooms in there, lol, BUT, it was a very brief detour, since I knew immediately that I wanted to play with Terrific Toadstools for this one. I seem to have burned through all the bright DSP that went with it originally, so I got to try out a different color scheme, based on this playful sheet of greens from Florals in Bloom. Such a riot! I stamped up the two largest caps in Granny Apple Green, then sponged a little Secret Sea around them, and did some stems in the discontinued Cloud Cover ink. I also stamped up the cute tiny bug shape and gave it a green ladybug shell to go with. I went ahead and fussy cut everything, because the punch cuts out a little too much for me - I really wanted that edge! I am smitten! A few Dewdrops in Secret Sea were the perfect finishing touch!  We're bubbling over this round at Retro Rubber #272! You know I had to go hunting for the ever-elusive "any shape," right? This time, 2023's Simply Succulents won the race, because there were two different sizes I could use! Such fun! I did a nice little cascade down the left edge, and went to town coloring them with all retired colors: Soft Succulent, Rich Razzleberry and Seaside Spray - perfect succulent colors! I finished with a few Seaside Spray Opal Rounds, too - almost all gone! I can't wait to see YOUR bubbly projects this round - and don't forget to make it RETRO! So excited to play with another new stencil set - I had to go back to Altenew to get more of their awesome Micro and Mini Blending Brushes - just what the doctor ordered for any detailed stencils, I have to say. Once again, I ordered something fun to bump up my cart, and picked up the Golden Days stencil set. I think this might be the most detailed stencil set I have ever played with, and I am SMITTEN with how gorgeous the final image is! I layered a few pinks onto a simple white sheet for a BIG impact, and this scripty birthday sentiment from our Scalloped Blooms stamp set was just perfect for it, along with three tiny Enamel Dot Essentials in Black. I'm loving the drama of this combo! I can't wait to see YOU "say it with flowers" too! Meet you at the challenge! I am loving the offset layers at our sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #386! This sketch really made me want to show off some DSP, and I have just the pack for it! Last year I couldn't resist the Florals in Bloom DSP, but I didn't get any of the rest of the suite. It's been so lovely to pair with good sentiments - the colors are so cheery and fresh! I picked two panels of my some of my favorite sheets, and then added this sweet sentiment from our new Sending Salutations set - all sentiments, but I love when we do mixed fonts so much! Just for fun, I tucked in an extra fussy cut flower behind! I can't wait to see YOUR layered projects - meet you at the challenge! I so wanted to use the dotted lines to show his bumble flight path, too! I stamped and fussy cut a few little honeycomb pieces, then remembered the honey bear in the Homemade Sweetness DSP pack - yes! I managed yellow, black, black gems, hexagons, bees and honey! This might have been a little bit of overkill - trying to fit all this on there, the composition looks a little unbalanced to my eye, lol. It was fun to make, though! All these handsome pups, I knew I had to try it! I think our Pet Love stamp set goes perfectly with it, too, and I even still had an old Playful Pets Trinket bone to add as well! I really am having fun with these stencils - these dogs are my favorite out of all of them! OK, I finally managed to come up with "ice skates!" And I have a beautiful pair in last year's Sophisticated Sled stamp set! I found this pretty Pool Party sheet in my North Pole Delivery DSP for a background. I am also breaking in some amazing tag dies from Gummiapan, that have this awesome distressed outline - so cool! I think it's a little hard to see with my big bow at the top, but I love them! I stamped up a wreath to put behind my skates first, and colored it in with three different greens! The skates hang in front, with a little "let it snow" at the bottom. I also found these tiny red sequins which I thought would go great with the bow! I love how this came out! I couldn't resist doing a quick Woolly Friends card - I so love these plumpy sheep, and the builder punch that goes with is so fun! I did a quick color wash background with a Blender Brush in Lemon Lime Twist, then popped up my friend with highlights in Hydrangea Hue, one of our newest In Colors! Yay for purple and green together! I stamped a few rows of grass behind him, and finished with some Lemon Lime Twist Transparent Dots, too. I even had fun with the envelope - I realized if I punched a little sheep head mask, I could make that little corner into an action shot of him leaping along! Eee! This gorgeous color blend made me think of our old Enjoy The Journey DSP from 2023 - there were a few scenery sheets set against beautiful colorscapes, but I also wanted to add my own silhouette element, too. A quick browse and I spotted one of my earliest photopolymer sets from 2014 - Calling All Heroes! It has this perfect city skyline, so you can make some superheroes flying overhead - that I stamped in Secret Sea and then fussy cut. Secret Sea is fast becoming my new Black, I tell you! Anyway, I chose a landscape that would let me have a tiny bit of mountain and the moon peeking out behind the buildings - kinda like Salt Lake City, lol. For the sentiment, I went with this "star" quote from 2023's Stepping Stones stamp set. I finished with my own Iridescent Rhinestone stars!
