We have another wonderful sketch for you this week, Fab Friday #97 - won't you come play?? I have to admit, I feel a little like a I kinda cheated on this one today, lol. Did I go for too obvious a shape? When I was browsing my stamp collection to see what would come out today, this one kind of leaped out - I haven't used it in so long! And then, shh, when I picked it up, this already stamped balloon fell out - woops! When you have images pretty much jumping on to cards, you really have to just bow down to fate! I dressed it up with a heat-embossed completed sentiment, and some speckled background, keeping up with the bold color scheme. How about it? Any stamps leaping off your shelves? I can't wait to see! Celebrate Today & Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Sets; Pacific Point, Real Red & Whisper White CS; Whisper White Craft, Real Red & Pacific Point Inks; White Embossing Powder; Balloon Framelits; Metallics Sequin Stars.

Here's a "diagonal" layout from Retro Sketch #233 that I think it will look wonderful with Can You Case It #139's rainbow colors, too! I'm also adding in Global Design Project #55's Random Acts of Kindness theme - we can always use more of that! So, we can't have a rainbow without a sparkly silver cloud, right? Don't tell anyone that I let my YNS Puffy Cloud dies out to play, shh... Anyway, I kept the rainbow stripes simple, and added a quick word to my neighbor, who has just lost her furry friend. Hopefully this will help cheer her up! Work of Art & Here For You Stamp Sets; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry & Soft Sky (on envelope) Inks; YNS Puffy Cloud Dies; leftover Pastel Sequins. Another super-fun sketch from Sunday Stamps #136! Can I add a Paper Pumpkin, too, for Pumpkin Wednesday? What kind of question is that?! Of COURSE I can! For Pumpkin Wednesday today, I'm focusing more on the papers that came in our Bold Botanicals kit, though I did jump to the bonus pumpkin set All About Everything for the sentiments. I really like the bold splashes of color in this kit - lots of room for unexpected combos, and this sketch was a perfect roadmap for it! Notice how leftover sequins are becoming a staple of my designs, too, lol? Bold Botanicals & All About Everything Paper Pumpkin; plus, Early Espresso & Very Vanilla CS; Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay & Mint Macaron Inks; Layering Circles Framelits; Sequins (leftover from All Shook Up kit!) I love the central layering at this week's Create With Connie & Mary #425! I think this will be a great sketch to sneak in TGIF #74's "stitching" challenge, too! OK, confession time. Shh. I have NEVER sewn on a card with my sewing machine. {GASP}, you say? Yes, it's true. I MIGHT be known historically as a bit rabid in defense of my sewing machine, lol, as I used to do a lot of historical reenactment, and made some pretty elaborate reproductions. Yes, I also have a pair of Gingham Fabric Shears that live in a locked box away from grabby irreverent hands, too. And yes, I have a mini machine on my Amazon wishlist that will be JUST for stitching on paper. But, for today, SOMEONE used my machine to sew up a rip in their golf bag, so I had a worn-out needle all ready to go, lol. It was like fate... Good times... Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set; All Is Calm DSP (retired); Crumb Cake & Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz & Soft Sky Inks; Silver Sequins; Cookie Cutter Punch. Today we have this lovely landscape from Freshly Made Sketch #255! Such a wide field for stamping will give me lots of scope for these bright colors from In{k}spire Me #268, too! I decided that these funky retro colors really wanted a funky retro stamp set - Totally Trees, please step to the plate! I have been getting such a kick out of stamping these in off colors - such a cool effect! I added just a few spots of bling and called it good! Totally Trees & Thoughtful Banners Stamp Sets; Basic Gray, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay & Real Red CS; Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach & Real Red Inks; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Here's another lovely layout from Try Stampin' on Tuesday #289! I'm excited to march it with the lovely colors at Pals Paper Arts #319! OK, after seeing the lovely rectangles in the sketch, I couldn't help but pull out Marquee Messages - which is pretty much designed to also add in a three-color spread, lol. So fun to play with the layers on this one! A few touches of white gel pen really make the details sing, too... Marquee Messages Stamp Set; Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Emerald Envy & Flirty Flamingo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, White Craft, Mint Macaron, Emerald Envy & Flirty Flamingo Inks; White Embossing Powder; White Uniball Gel Pen; Sparkle EF. Yes, Global Design Project #64 had me at the banner, lol. Yay! I'm combining it with this week's Merry Monday #214 - "Keep warm!" I started as usual with a browse of stamp sets that I thought could meet the "keep warm" part - I actually had a few choices! In this case, I decided to go with a colony of penguins from Snow Place, all bundled up in muffs and scarves! No neglecting one's ear-muffs! I also decided to doctor up a sentiment from Mountain Adventure - our layering squares sure came in handy for that! Feelin' toasty, for sure, lol... Snow Place & Mountain Adventure Stamp Sets; Merry Moments DSP (retired); Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Pumpkin Pie Marker; Layering Squares & Snow Friends Framelits; On Point EF; Banner Triple Punch. I'm so excited about Can You Case It #138's shaker card challenge this week! I'm stoked to combine it with What Will You Stamp #82's Glamper Greetings - yay! OK, I decided to a shaker over a travel scene, so I could keep my fancy camper right up front - how about a winter scene? It's a snap with Mountain Adventure along, too. I didn't over-dress my camper too much, just a little wreath on the door! I guess they were busy making that snowman... Glamper Greetings & Mountain Adventure Stamp Sets; Whisper White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Pool Party & Real Red Inks; Layering Circles Framelits; Softly Falling EF; Twinklets Diamond Dust Glitter.
