This week's Retro Sketch #99 was a challenge I couldn't resist! I SO need more work on these "cut out" kind of sketches... And of course, I have to use every last speck of this DSP from the yummy Sweet Sorbet DSP in Sale-A-Bration! The flowers ended up just looking better fussy cut, really, I didn't start out snipping, lol! Petal Parade (SAB) & Lots of Thanks stamp sets; Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe & Pool Party CS; Sweet Sorbet (SAB) DSP; Pistachio Pudding & Pool Party inks; Circles Collection & Bitty Banners Framelits; Summer Starfruit Baker's Twine; Needlepoint Borders Embossing Folder; Basic Jewels Jumbo Pearl.

Oo, what's not to love about this week's Merry Monday #93? I have ornaments coming out my ears! To add a little Christmas spice, I decided to try this one with this week's Nacho Average Challenge #74, too - yummy colors, I've been on a Bermuda Bay kick lately, so this one really caught my eye!I've never stamped directly on such a busy DSP before, but I like how it came out! All in all, a fun non-traditional color scheme for the holidays! Ornament Keepsakes & Christmas Messages stamp sets; Whisper White & Bermuda Bay CS; Eastern Elegance DSP; Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana & Crisp Cantaloupe inks; Holiday Ornaments Framelits; 1" Circle Punch; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; White Baker's Twine. OK, when I first looked at the sketch for this week's Paper Craft Crew #78, all I could think was, hey, look at that nice open field, just perfect for a big, yummy lobster! Sorry, can you tell I'm on the final days of New Year's liver cleanse? No dairy for a week. Sob. Personally, I think cheese and butter are their own food group, and should be consumed every day! So now I have a new rule, be careful when stamping hungry! So, what do you have for the Crew this week? By The Tide & Apothecary Accents stamp sets; Nautical Expedition (retired-shh) DSP; Whisper White, Early Espresso Night of Navy & Sahara Sand CS; Black Staz-On, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Labels Collection Framelits; Neutrals Candy Dots. Time for one last installment of Real Life for this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #114 - You & Me! For this round, I thought I'd sneak in a card to go with the mini scrap-book I'm working on for my sweetie - super simple, super fast, super fun and super "You & Me!" It's always weird to me when I don't actually stamp anything... There's still time for you to play with us at My Pumpkin Challenge - whatcha' got?? Paper Pumpkin Real Life Journal & Good Life Brag Book; plus, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie & Whisper White CS; Small Heart Punch; Ampersand Embossing Folder; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Loving the possibilities at this week's Freshly Made Sketch #120! In the end, a "virgin" stamp set wins! I'm just so happy with the beautiful colors and patterns in the new DSP pack, and I think this stamp set goes perfectly - did you see the little camera?? I tried to think of how I could include it on this card, but I know I'll have plenty of chances later, lol... I also finally used some more of my Stretch Ruffle Trim - fun stuff To attach it very firmly, I split box tape in half length-wise, and adhered it first to the ribbon, peeling as needed as I worked my way around the oval. Easiest ribbon stick yet! Peachy Keen stamp set; Retro Fresh DSP; Very Vanilla, Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango & Coastal Cabana CS; Coastal Cabana Ink; Banners & Ovals Collection Framelit Dies; Occasions Piercing Template; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; Stretch Ruffle Trim in Baked Brown Sugar. I knew as soon as I saw Clean & Simple #276 that I wanted to use another new stamp set from my 2014 Occasions pre-order, that of course came with framelits! I added slightly to my challenge by resolving to use only colors that are PUT AWAY on my caddy right now, lol. Can you tell I might be in some disarray right now? That's ok, the end result is a truly miraculous new side-by-side Big Shot station that I love! Woo hoo! I also LOVE new storage bins, don't you?? So inspiring... Starburst Sayings stamp set; Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla & Pistachio Pudding CS & inks; Starburst Framelit Dies; 2 1/4" Circle & Corner Rounder Punches. Oo, loving the color combo at Merry Monday #92 this week! These have been my go-to colors for so many cards! Today I had some fun playing with tiny flashes of red, against a fairly neutral background. Yummy! Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake are perfect for MANY little pops of color - we could have just as easily done this with greens as well... PS. I have to confess, I actually had to make this card twice - the first time I made it in Whisper White, argh! Still looks nice, though! Merry Little Christmas & Endless Wishes stamp sets; Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake & Real Red CS & Inks; White Embossing Powder; Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border & Corner Rounder Punches; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. So what do you think of this cute New Year's treat from last night's Flip Calendar Class? I totally CASE'd it from Laura Zaraza's Laura Z Stamps and my most favorite thing is how it uses our new Scalloped Tag Punch! Woo-hoo! I made up my measurements to hold one Hershey Nugget, but you could make it longer and stack two or more on top of each other. I cut a 2" x 4" strip from the Silver Foil sheets, and scored on the long edge at 1 1/2" and 2 1/2". Then I punched both ends with the Scallop Tag Punch, and tied closed with Silver Ribbon! Too easy! Here are the Flip Calendar Instructions from class as well! I have to say, it's a good thing the journal I'm working on is called "Real Life," because that's what I'm showcasing in my latest layout for this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #114 - You & Me! This was hubby's major "Honey Do" weekend - and he rose to the challenge! From trimming the toenails of three squirmy dogs (2 chocolate labs and a weimaraner) to a major cat-box overhaul (yikes!) to putting away our 12 foot with extra lights Christmas tree, the fun just hasn't stopped around here! He even went to IKEA and got me some more shelves for my office make-over (but really only because it's right by our favorite salsa vendor, but STILL!) He must love us all SO much! Paper Pumpkin-Real Life Journal; plus, Totally Tool (retired) & Designer Typeset Photopolymer stamp sets; Basic Black, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie & Strawberry Slush inks; Strawberry Slush Coastal Cabana & Summer Starfruit CS; Owl Builder Punch (for the tiny heart!) Don't forget - last chance to RSVP for the first stamp class of the year - our Flip Calendar Class will be Thursday, Jan 23, 630 pm, chez Heroldt, with snacks and cheer! Hope to see you there! Oh gosh - the sample over at Clean & Simple #275 is the cutest! How do I do this justice?? First, by making an embarrassing confession. Yes, I used my envelope punch board for the FIRST TIME to make this card. IT'S TRUE! It has looked good on my desk since like, convention, lol, so it's about time! I wanted to make a little custom envelope, and decided I should make the card envelope while I was at it... So easy! Might have to do more of these, blush... (Dimensions on the tiny one: I used 3" square of DSP, and did the first score on 1 1/4".) Just Sayin' & Lovely Little Labels stamp sets; Sahara Sand, Pool Party & Whisper White CS; Sweet Sorbet DSP; Pool Party, Pistachio Pudding, Summer Starfruit, Crisp Cantaloupe, Sahara Sand & Basic Black inks; Word Bubbles Framelits; Lil Labels Punch. Don't forget - there's still time to RSVP for the first stamp class of the year - our Flip Calendar Class will be Thursday, Jan 23, 630 pm, chez Heroldt, with snacks and cheer! Hope to see you there! |
