Yay! So glad I can squeeze in FarmQuest #59 - they want to see farm or forest animals this round! I knew I wanted to do farm animals - this IS called Farm Quest, after all, lol.. I did this cute little milker, celebrating your birthday with you! She looks awesome against this sunny sheet from my Day at the Farm pack, and she has her milk cans all lined up to go! So fun to play with these cows, even though I had to fussy cut her body - the punch body goes the other direction, lol, and doesn't quite match! Anyway, I finished with a few quick Pearl Berries, too - so pretty! Cutest Cows Stamp Set; Day at the Farm DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Pretty in Pink, Gray Granite & Basic Black Blends Markers; Cutest Cow Builder & 1 1/4" Circle Punches; Pearl Berries; #FQCB59. Woo hoo! Time for another speed challenge at As You See It #331 - and the theme is FRUIT! Coolio!! I knew the best way to cut some time would be to have some fruity DSP, so I went hunting through my retired papers first - I thought I had this really cool cherry sheet still - but then, I came across my still almost full pack of You're A Peach - sold!! I dug out the stamp bundle, and some retired Pear Pizzazz CS and ink - found this pretty Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon in the cardstock folder, too, so let's do that, too! I snagged Petal Pink and Calypso Coral for my peach and I was set! Let's start the clock! Cut my layers, and I want top show as much peach as possible, so I had to go landscape. Tie on the ribbon and start on the peach - I didn't lose much time stamping a second peach - rocking and rolling some Calypso didn't work out and I had to switch to a sponge dauber. A quick trip to the die cutting machine, a quick punch for my sentiment, slap it all together, AND I still have time to dig out some bling! Yay! I clocked in at a cool 7 minutes, 21 seconds! Not too shabby! I can't WAIT to see your fruit, too, AND your awesome speedy time! Meet you at the challenge! Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set (retired 2022); You're A Peach DSP (retired); Basic White & Pear Pizzazz (retired) CS; Petal Pink, Calypso Coral & Pear Pizzazz (retired) Inks; Peach Dies (retired); Large Oval Punch (retired); Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon (retired); Iridescent Pastel Gems in Calypso Coral; #AYSI331. I'm so super excited that this month's theme at AAA Birthday #64 is critters! I can never get enough of them, lol... As I was checking over my current critter section, I spied my remainder of the By Your Side kit - SUCH cute kitties and dogs in this kit! It was a generous kit, and I still have a few cats, plus one Bassett Hound, left, lol. I decided to use my last "tangled" kitty - isn't he the cutest? While I did use the included stamp set on the envelope, I pulled out my Simply Said set for my birthday sentiment - I can't believe how much I use this set! I gave him some Gold Cording Trim to wiggle around on, and also used the last of the kit's heart embellies, too. Since I was doing tone-on-tone layers, I also decided to distress my top layer - such a quick detail! By Your Side & Simply Said Stamp Sets; Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Crumb Cake Inks; Gold Cording Trim; Gold Heart Embellishments; By Your Side Diecut; Distressing Tool; #AAAB64. Cupcake Inspirations #600 is celebrating a BIG milestone - for the 600th challenge, they'd like us to make them a birthday card! You got it! I couldn't resist diving in to my newly arrived Time For Cake Paper Pumpkin kit for this one - and also the bonus stamp set we got this month, Year After Year! One of the fancy fold card bases included just begged to be chopped up - so I could feature this pretty panel of LOTS of candles all sparkling together - too many to count, just like this challenge! I did up a quick banner and sentiment, and added a little candle just for fun, and some Night of Navy Twine. I needed some sparklies, too, so on went a few Iridescent Pastel Gems in Gold. So pretty - I love the papers in this kit! Time For Cake & Year After Year Paper Pumpkin (Aug 2024); Basic White & Moody Mauve CS; Pretty in Pink, Moody Mauve & Night of Navy Inks; Birchwood 3D EF; Night of Navy Baker's Twine; Gold Iridescent Pastel Gems; #CIC600. EXCELLENT theme at this round of Inspire Create Challenge #174 - men! I shuffled through my sets and decided I wanted to play with my Tune In bundle today - I think of TV as about men from the amount of sports my hubby is watching these days, lol - can anyone relate?? I dressed it up with this gorgeous rayed sheet from our Full of Life DSP pack, I though all the blues would be appropriate for men! I stamped up a matching Blueberry Bushel TV, with Smoky Slate details, and stamped up a birthday screen! I finished with a few die cut winks, and some Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems. At the last second, I decided to shade in my TV knobs with a White Gel Pen - cool detail! Tune In Stamp Set; Full of Life DSP; Basic White, Smoky Slate & Blueberry Bushel CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Blueberry Bushel Inks; Tune In Dies; Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #ICC174. Oo, I love the theme at this round of Cardz 4 Guyz #353 - camping or outdoors! While I do have several great choices for this theme, I still can't help gravitating back to my giant pile of scan-n-cut Zoo Crew critters - that outdoors sheet - it gets me every time, lol. LOVE these guys! And I still have quite the stash of pieces already cut out thanks to my zeal when I first learned to use my scan-n-cut, lol. I chose my 3 fave characters for camping, along with some trees, and arranged a cute tableau over a Lemon Lime Twist mountain range I cut out with my Forever Forest dies. I think they all look like they're having a camping blast! I finished with some Tinsel Gems, and this oh-so-versatile Birthday sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set. So happy with how this came out! Simply Said Stamp Set; Zoo Crew DSP (retired); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Forever Forest Dies; Lemon Lime Twist Tinsel Gems; #C4G353. I'm really liking the theme at this round's Shopping Our Stash #527 - "Up Up & Away!" Time for more balloons! I first went shopping for some balloon images - isn't there an old one of a puppy flying away? A birthday chicken? I feel like I just did hot air balloons, so I wanted to go for party balloons this time! Then I spotted Silly Goose - YES! Now for the DSP - I could dimly remember a colorful sheet that was COVERED in party balloons - which led me to my old pack of Birthday Bonanza DSP - I think from 2020? Perfect! I set up my background, stamped up my goose on a Deckled Rectangle, and did some minimal coloring in Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay - so perfect! I even scrounged up some Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon! Up, up and away! Silly Goose Stamp Set (retired 2024); Birthday Bonanza DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mango Melody & Bermuda Bay Blends Markers (both retired); Color Lifter; Deckled Rectangle Dies; Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SOS527. Snow in August Class Saturday August 17! Woo hoo! We're kicking off the Christmas season with our first look at the Holiday Mini Catalog! I'm so excited! Class will feature 6 cards with envelopes, and includes all supplies needed (bring your own favorite snips and adhesives!) There will also be snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, August 17 at 2 PM! RSVP today to save your spot! Feel like cooking?? We have an awesome "recipe" for you to try at As You See It #329! As soon as I saw the "trees" ingredient, I knew I'd be revisiting my Frosted Forest bundle! But really, all our recipe items roll SO well together! Once I knew the stamp, I started by embossing my background with the Timber EF, of course, lol. I used the Frosted Forest dies to lay on a pretty horizon set of trees in Evening Evergreen, then got work stamping and coloring my big focus tree - the Layering Masks make it a cinch! Though there IS a birthday sentiment in this one, I pulled this pretty one from Simply Said - my teamie Heather beat me to it so I had to keep mixing it up, lol... I added my twine, and some perfect Speckled Dots to finish things off - all just the right seasoning! I can't wait to see what YOU cook up with our easy recipe! Meet you at the challenge! Frosted Forest & Simple Said Stamp Sets; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Evening Evergreen (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pecan Pie, Granny Apple Green & Old Olive Inks; Blending Brushes; Frosted Forest Dies & Layering Masks, Tasteful Labels Dies (retired); Timber EF; Linen Thread, Speckled Dots in Old Olive; #AYSI329. Time for NBUS #64 - yay! Always good to have a little help inking up our neglected stuff! Today I have a brand new set that I haven't inked YET, lol. I was smitten by Racing By as soon as saw it - such cute little builder go-carts! I kept it bright and quick today, choosing a gorgeous sheet from the Full of Life DSP pack, and doing up a couple race cars in matching colors. I even added in the little driver, which I hadn't noticed til I actually open up my set, lol. I fussy cut the cars out, and added a quick racing sentiment to go with, then finished with some Shiny Sequins. Quick and fun! Racing By Stamp Set; Full of Life DSP; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red & Berry Burst Inks; Berry Burst Shiny Sequins; #NBUS64. We have a fun theme this round at Make My Monday #230 - "let's celebrate!" It just so happens that my new Iconic Imagery bundle has the perfect big "celebrate" sentiment! I decided to go more generic, but at the same time, I wanted to dress it up, so I ended up putting together this "cheater" shaker card, lol. I still have quite a bit of the Lighter Than Air DSP let, sigh, but they are such party patterns that I pulled this dotty one in! I mixed in some of my old For Everything Fancy Sequins in the blue colors, and then popped on my big sentiment front and center. So fun - and I didn't get sequins all over my office (or the dog!) this time! I can't wait to see YOUR celebration project this round - meet you at the challenge! Iconic Imagery Stamp Set; Lighter Than Air DSP (retired); Basic White & Azure Afternoon CS; Azure Afternoon Ink; Iconic Imagery Dies; For Everything Fancy Sequins (retired); #MMM230. |
