Time to kick off the New Year with NBUS #70! One of my new sets from my Spring Mini preorder I couldn't wait to play with was For The Books! I am a BIG reader, and I really only have one other book set - I really wanted something to fill that niche! This set does it beautifully! There are three "stack" images, several super cute bookish sentiments, and even super cool DIES! I had to feature the fancy tome in the die set, though I snuck in a stack for my background, lol. I couldn't resist this 5-star sentiment, either, lol. So fun to feature in these great colors! For The Books Stamp Set; Basic White, Boho Blue & Wild Wheat CS; Boho Blue & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Wild Wheat Blend Marker; For The Books Dies; Boho Blue Textured Ribbon; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #NBUS70. Yay! Time for another challenge at NBUS #69! I have lots of new toys to show, too! For today's big reveal, I went with an upcoming online exclusive, called Cake Celebrations! It's lots of fun, cake builder stamps, plus frosting and decor, AND dies, too! I started simpler today, and stamped and stamped off this Pretty In Pink cake with some highlights onto a Pecan Pie cake stand. I added some candles, and built the sentiment above. I think this set coordinates beautifully with the upcoming Wildflower Birthday DSP from the coming-soon Spring Mini catty, too! So I picked my pretty background sheet from that, and pulled in one tiny diecut from the specialty sheets in that pack, too! A few Gold Textured Dots seemed like just the right finishing touch, too! Cake Celebrations Stamp Set; Wildflower Birthday DSP; Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Pecan Pie, Pretty In Pink & Lemon Lolly Inks; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Gold Textured Dots; #NBUS69. For their final challenge of the year, The Male Room #193 is "anything goes!" Yay! For this one, I'm pulling in another new stamp set! This one is called One More Year, and it'll be available soon in our upcoming Spring Mini Catty starting January 7! It has lots of very fun birthday wishes, and a few cute accompanying images - I couldn't resist this squinty dog, lol. So he had to get some ink first! I layered him over some old Coastal Cabana DSP on a Stylish Circle, and finished with a few matching Crumb Cake Glossy Dots - even guy cards should be matchy-matchy, lol. One More Year Stamp Set; Coastal Cabana DSP (retired); Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink, Real Red & Summer Splash Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Crumb Cake Glossy Dots; #TMR193. Ahhh, Shopping Our Stash #535 would like to see something masculine this round! I took a dig through my retired paper stash to see what looked good - score! I almost forgot about this Well Suited DSP, and I actually kept it JUST for masculine cards! I chose a couple of my favorite patterns, and then looked over my Handsomely Suited stamp set from 2022 that went with it - the dies are so cute! I came up with this design after playing with some pieces a little - I actually don't mind that the tie hangs down to far - kind of a fun shape! Finishing with a few White Milky Dots seemed just the thing! Handsomely Suite Stamp Set (retired 2022); Well Suited DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Night of Navy Ink; Blender Pen; Suit & Tie Dies (retired); White Milky Dots; #SOS535. Pumpkin Club November 30! We want to see your wild animals this round at Make My Monday #238! One of my crazy critters that hasn't been out in a while is my Rhino Ready set - these guys are such party animals! I made him a gorgeous African Tundra background using some of the sunset sheets from my old Enjoy the Journey DSP, and then added some terrain and banyan trees in Black - I love the contrast! I did up this little birthday rhino and popped him up, complete with hat and noise-maker - bring on the presents! I can't wait to see YOU go wild - meet you at the challenge! Rhino Ready Stamp Set; Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Black & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Gray Granite; Crumb Cake; Melon Mambo & Basic Black Blends Markers; Rhino Ready & Stylish Shapes Dies; #Melon Mambo Solid Faceted Gems; #MMM238. One of my favorite (and oldest, lol) cat stamp sets is 2007's Here, Kitty Kitty - these guys are the cutest! In honor of our funky cupcakes, I stamped them on Fresh Freesia, and did them up with some Highland Heather thrown in, too. I think they look fabulous! I'm always so happy to see these guys fussy cut - they make a big impact! I added a little party hat to one, and let them just do their kitty thing - sure to bring a smile! Here, Kitty Kitty Stamp Set (retired 2007); Highland Heather DSP (retired); Basic White, Highland Heather & Fresh Freesia CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Highland Heather Blend Markers; Fresh Freesia Tinsel Dots; #CIC604. The Male Room #191 is for trees! Looking over the shelves, I decided to pull my Forever Forest bundle for this one! I still love this set, and it's hard for me to believe I almost didn't get it, since I have SO many other trees, lol. Really, the dies are something special for this one, and I love that little mountain range included in this one! Anyway, I did a little white-on-white action to fit in the mountains, and did this big fir trio up front. Then I remembered the little moon and stars stamp in there, too, so I added that in the upper right corner, that led to me adding some Gold Textured dots for my embellies - perfect! The heat-embossed sentiment is just right over the trees - and I can't believe how much I go to the Simply Said set these days, lol! Forever Forest & Simply Said Stamps; Basic White & Shaded Spruce CS; Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry & Versamark Inks; White EP; Forever Forest Dies; Gold Textured Dots; #TMR191. So excited to play another round at this month's NBUS #66! OK, today is the day I just let my freak flag fly, lol. I saw a Star Trek themed card once, feels like an age ago, and I was like, OOOO! Like a dunce, I didn't note the stamp company, and I've been on the hunt ever since, especially since I've loosened up a little bit on all things SU!, lol. Well, I finally found it! I was so excited, and it turns out, they make a couple sets, lol, AND some pretty awesome Star Wars ones, too. My first batch just arrived yesterday, so I of course had to ink something up - Lieutenant Worf to the rescue! Bwahahahaha! He even has his own catch phrase that we can customize, as you can see, lol. I am so smitten with these stamps - yup, I'm geeking out! And laughing so hard! So fun! Kindred Stamps The Next Space Explorers & Simply Said (inside) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Basic Black & Wild Wheat CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Wild Wheat, SU100 & SU300 Blends Markers; Neutrals Sequins in Gold; #NBUS66. Oh gosh - Time Out Challenges #272 wants us to get SNARKY! Let's see... Well, when you need snarky, that's a job for Sassy Suzie! I always laugh when I read her little trove of sentiments, but, I admit, I don't make many snarky cards, lol, so she doesn't get out much! Today she had something to say about your next birthday - tee hee! Just to make sure we know I don't take her seriously, I did her all up on this DOTTY paper, a perfect fit, lol. And I did put the Happy Birthday on the inside! Bring it, Suzie! Sassy Suzie Stamp Set (retired 2009); Frightful Sight DSP (retired); Basic White & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Misty Moonlight & SU400 Blends Markers; Nude Blendability Marker (retired); Iridescent Pearls; #TOC272. Pumpkin Club September 28 at 2 PM! Did you get your September Pumpkin kit yet? Fall is in the air! Check out the video HERE! Ooo, AAA Birthday #65 would like us to focus on the background this month! Yeah! Today seems like a good day to stencil, don't you think? I went and pulled one of my favorite sets of masks - Basic Pattern - and got to work on a simple and colorful background. I love the organic look of these shapes! I set everything up, and then just randomly brushed on Pumpkin Pie, Poppy Parade & Lemon Lime Twist with Blending Brushes. I even did the envelope flap! I layered it over Black, so I could stamp my sentiment in the same, and finished with a few Matte Black Dots. Simple and quick! Simply Said Stamp Set; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Blending Brushes; Basic Pattern Decorative Masks (retired); Matte Black Dots; #AAAB65. |
