Soda Lightful

Time for a fun picnic at this round of First Cup Challenges #14!
From the picture, I knew I wanted to do something with lemons, but I've done a couple lemonade cards recently, it feels like.  How about lemon soda??  Simply Sparkling from 2023 to the rescue!  I made a dressy little soda can with a couple lemons on it, and added some oh-so-refreshing lemony details around it - good times, lol.  I also finally used my favorite sentiment for it - who doesn't want to be "soda-lightful" for their birthday??  And seriously, these are my all-time favorite bubble dies, too, lol.  I feel refreshed already!
Simply Sparkling Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2023); Full of Life DSP; Basic White & Silver Foil CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Daffodil Delight Inks; Daffodil Delight & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Daffodil Delight Low Profile Sparkle Dots; #FCC14.

I STILL have some new sets that I haven't inked up yet - now's my chance for NBUS #86!
And how could I not take my silly old bear for a spin on this one??  I was so excited to see this release in our May Online Exclusives, but I've been struggling to get it inky!!  I think I'd be hard pressed to say which is more awesome - the stamps or the paper, lol.  I'll focus on the paper today - I'm so thrilled with the sheets of little scenes ready to go that are included - some in gorgeous die shapes, and some in awesome background sizes!  I selected this sweet tea party one (one of my faves from the book!) to go with this sentiment in the accompanying Sweet Words & Labels set.  Houston, we have coordination!  It's just fabulous!  Anyway, I floated it over Hydrangea Hue (which will henceforth be known as Eeyore color) and finished with a little Vanilla Twine I found in a drawer - off to order all the ribbons now, lol.
Sweet Words & Labels Stamp Set & Dies; Silly Old Bear DSP; Very Vanilla & Hydrangea Hue CS; Hydrangea Hue Ink; Very Vanilla Baker's Twine; Hydrangea Hue Dots; #NBUS86.

Such a fun theme for The Male Room #210!  I have so many, food and drink stamps get their own shelf here, lol.
I went straight to last year's Bistro Burger bundle for this one - not that the ladies don't enjoy a big juicy burger, too!  I started with this muted plaid from our Timeless Plaid pack, and then got to work on the burger and pickles!  So fun to just sit and color sometimes, you know?  I cut everything out with the dies, including a partial board for my burger to sit on - I found a piece of Pecan Pie in the die sleeve with adhesive already on it - throw that on the cutter!  I love when I do stuff like that, lol.  After a quick search, it looked like the Deckled Rectangles were just about perfect for the "big deal" sentiment - yay!  A few Streaked Dots were just right to finish!
Bistro Burger Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2025); Timeless Plaid DSP (retired); Basic White, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Pecan Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive, Peach Pie, Real Red, Darling Duckling, SU300, SU400 & Color Lifter Blends Markers; Deckled Rectangles Dies (retired); Streaked Dots (retired); #TMR210.

Oooooh, I knew I needed to get on this one!  The topping this round at Seize The Birthday #326 is to feature an animal!  I have just the thing!
This sassy little party animal just arrived at my studio from Colorado Craft Company, and I couldn't wait to ink her up!  So hilarious, lol.  I floated her over a panel of our Rings of Love DSP so I could give her an acorn-y background, then popped her up with some birthday wishes from Lily of the Valley.  I finished with a few Beige Pearls of Beauty, and I'm still laughing!  So fun!

So exciting!  It's AAA Cards #314 birthday - 12 years!  In honor of that, this challenge is "anything cake goes" but it still has to be clean and simple!
It's been a while since I inked up the still-gorgeous Sweet Cupcake set from 2017, so I pulled it out for a go!  I remember that this was a big set for teaching me multi-step stamping - three layers on both the cake and the frosting, and even the candles layer, lol.  So fun!  I'm afraid it took me 4 tries to be happy with the cake part, lol, but I'm happy to have finally gotten there - it made a good warm up for the frosting, which I managed in one go, whew!  Still CAS, and floating on a little cloud of Strawberry Slush, like all good cupcakes should!

We want to see you say it with flowers this round at Make My Monday #278!  Show us your blooms!
So excited to play with another new stencil set - I had to go back to Altenew to get more of their awesome Micro and Mini Blending Brushes - just what the doctor ordered for any detailed stencils, I have to say.  Once again, I ordered something fun to bump up my cart, and picked up the Golden Days stencil set.  I think this might be the most detailed stencil set I have ever played with, and I am SMITTEN with how gorgeous the final image is!  I layered a few pinks onto a simple white sheet for a BIG impact, and this scripty birthday sentiment from our Scalloped Blooms stamp set was just perfect for it, along with three tiny Enamel Dot Essentials in Black.  I'm loving the drama of this combo!
I can't wait to see YOU "say it with flowers" too!  Meet you at the challenge!

Such fun tones this round at AAA Cards #313!  What to do with them?
I was really worried about coming up with something for these - but you know what comes in such party colors??  Balloon animals!  This card has turned out to be a little celebration of an order I placed with Altenew - I held out as long as I could, but I finally ordered their Ultra Sticky Mat for help holding everything when I'm playing with stencils.  I got a few sets of mini brushes to go with them, and earned a couple little freebies - the Mini Delight: Happy Birthday stamp set and die!  The stamp set is this brilliant little two-stepper, of the balloon dog, AND the little overlap lines - I laughed the whole time I made this card!  I went with Flirty Flamingo, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie and Petunia Pop as my colors which matched the best, sneaking in my Petunia with a little strip of DSP and the sentiment.  This was such a riot to make!

Oh, this sounds sweet:  Papercraft Challenge #129 is called "pastels and pearls!"
Since today is our younger lab's 1st birthday, I decided to do a birthday card!  I pulled out that trusty pack of Bloom Boutique again, and used one of the Golden Glow sheets, since River's collar and leash are yellow, lol.  I might be taking a theme too far, but I coordinated this with Pecan Pie (miss you, Chocolate Chip!) because River is a CHOCOLATE lab, lol.  She's probably more Early Espresso, but since this is a pastel challenge, I lightened it up a little!  Likewise with stamping off my Golden Glow for the sweet Forsythia branch in Delightful Wishes!  I'm sure she'd rather her card were edible, but I think a pup cup will be coming her way later!
Delightful Wishes Stamps Set & Dies; Bloom Boutique DSP; Basic White & Pecan Pie CS; Golden Glow & Granny Apple Green Inks; Pecan Pie Blend Markers; Golden Glow Pearls; #PC129.

I am SO SUPER THRILLED to guest today at Seize the Birthday #325, where the topping is "primarily pink!"  I hope you can play along, too!
I actually received a little surprise in my first pre-order shipment from SU! - a pack of the Bloom Boutique Specialty DSP!  I called in to confess, but I got to keep it, lol, even though this wasn't really on my radar.  After I checked it out, though, I realized that it had all our new In Colors in it - score!  This delicate floral sheet features our newest and palest pink - Barely Blush!  I also recently ordered the Lovely Arrangements bundle - I really just wanted the dies, but that stamp set features these two larger flowers, so I used them to coordinate with the DSP, and also cut some gold leaves to pick out some of the gold highlights.  Even though all these flowers aren't my usual wheelhouse, I'm really pleased with how this came out!
I hope you can join us this round at Seize the Birthday - see you there!

Ooo!  The "topping" at Seize the Birthday #324 is to make a Spring garden!  Lovely!
I did a scan of my retired papers first, and spotted this sweet Spring-y sheet in the old Hues of Happiness pack - and I love the tiny little blooms!  So I pulled the Happiness Abounds bundle to see if there was a birthday sentiment (of course there was!)  I was late to taking in this suite, so there are plenty of stamps I hadn't used et - like the two little sprays of tiny flowers that go so well with this sheet!  I started with my sentiment, and then stamped 5 of the little nosegays to color.  I ended up clustering them all around one end of the sentiment, and finishing with some Sunny Day Iridescent Dots - pretty fun in Melon Mambo!
