We have some nifty corner-justified layers for you this week at Fab Friday #195!
That lovely big background layer was just perfect for setting the scene for our gorgeous new Dove of Hope set - and what better wintry background than the returning Feels Like Frost DSP??  This lovely navy toned sheet was just right for setting off a beautifully detailed die-cut dove in white - I even gave her a delicate Soft Sea Foam sprig to hold, too.  I'm so pleased with the gentle and peaceful look of this card!
So, what will YOU create?  I can't wait to see your projects, over at the challenge!
Dove of Hope Stamp Set; Feels Like Frost DSP; Seaside Spray, Whisper White & Soft Sea Foam CS; Seaside Spray (on envelope) & Versamark Inks; Shimmer White EP; Detailed Dove & Rectangle Stitched Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #FabFri195.

Oo, we have a very fun sketch this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #344!
In my opinion, if you look REALLY closely, you can practically SEE the words "any shape" written on that circle.  Can't you??  Well, I can, lol.  Which makes this a perfect chance to use my new Whiskey Business set!  It didn't come out in time for our Man Cards class, but boy is it a shoe-in, lol.  I decided to go for the big beautiful decanter, and colored up some whiskey with my Water Painters - my new favorite tool, it's looking like, lol.  I'm also thinking this card would be good for a whiskey-drinking sistah, too!

Oh wow, what a cute cover for this week's The Library Challenge #424!  I'm afraid we don't get many RHS books here in Arizona, lol, but it sure looks fun!
I mulled this one over for a while - how could I get at the feel of this awesome cover??  It took me quite a few combos of a lot of things that just DON'T go together to get where I finally landed, but I do love the whimsy, finally, lol.  I've always wanted a cool terrarium, but alas, the cats have always had other ideas about that!  A succulent in a teacup is about all I've ever been able to manage!

Ah, so happy to see one of my favorite themes this week at Less Is More #424 - Christmas in July!  They'd like a one-layer card for it, too - these are really growing on me!
I really wanted to use on of my NEW Christmas sets, and I finally went back to Peace & Joy again - I wanted to see what possibilities I could get for a one layer with this one - so many layering parts!  Turns out, the fabulous layered dies are PERFECT for creating a mask over the words, so that you can stamp extra goodies all around with no overlap!  Yes!  Easiest mask ever, lol.  This went super quick!

Check out our beautiful layered sketch this week at Sunday Stamps #236!
I realized after a minute that if I turned our sketch sideways, it would be a perfect layout for our new Peace & Joy set!  I totally did a color take-off of one of our catty samples for the card, I LOVE these colors together for Christmas!  It's always fun inking up a new set, and I love all the little pieces that go with.  The dies are intriguing - we can actually triple layer the sentiment itself if we choose!  Wow!
I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our fun sketch - meet you at the challenge!

Love of Leaves

Eee!  As You See It #230 is back with another speed round, with the added theme of "elements of three!"  Woop woop!
One of my all-time fave occurrences is when a new order arrives just when I'm getting ready to tackle a card challenge - I can never resist diving in with a brand new set!  Today I pulled out the upcoming Love of Leaves set, and thought, hm, we could do three leaves!  That was all she wrote, lol.  I assembled my supplies, got the stamp set ready, and started the clock!  I decided to go with Vanilla for my neutral today - I really haven't been using it much, but I thought it'd be great to add an even softer touch to my leaves.  I quick cranked a couple layers with my Rectangle Stitched Dies, and then had to revise my leaf plan to a smaller leaf so they would all fit, lol.  Quick stamping, then running through the Big Shot AGAIN to add the leaf details.  Assemble the layers, add the twine, throw on some Gold Glitter Dots, pop dot to card base - DONE!  6 minutes, 22 seconds.  Whew!
Love of Leaves Stamp Set; Very Vanilla & Crumb Cake CS; Pear Pizzazz & Soft Suede Inks; Stitched Leaves & Rectangle Stitched Dies; Linen Thread; Gold Glitter Dots; #AYSI230.

I'm back at Time Out Challenges #166 for the "peaceful" challenge - what a great idea!
During these stressful times, I have to come right out and say, I think it is my daily contemplative practice that is keeping me at peace.  I don't talk about my faith too often, but twice a day, I have 20 minutes that I offer up to Him, to use as He will, and my heart is clearer for it, I think.  This set retired last year for us, but I have hung on to it for this sentiment, which I think perfectly captures my contemplative time, and His peace.  How can I help but be grateful?  Peace to you all!

Oh, excellent - love Retro Rubber 139's challenge this week - to use buttons!
I ran straight to my embellie drawer to see what I had on hand, and found these old Galvanized Buttons - I think these were first released with our Farmhouse Christmas set back in 2018?  Not positive, lol, but today, they make me think "man card," so I went looking for a likely guy set to use.  I had a hard time settling on anything, but then I spotted our old Suite Sentiments from 2017, and knew I was saved!  I love this set, because it has a bunch of extra sentiments that match like eight different sets from that year, which I think I got probably five of, lol.  So a great little bonus investment for me!  I decided to go all scrappy for this card, and let those pretty buttons shine!

Seaside Spray Wishes

Oo, CAS on Friday #184 has a fun one this week - make your card anything but white!  Time to bring out the colors!
My sleeper fave of our 2018 In Colors, I have to say, has been Seaside Spray.  I'm finding myself going to it more and more - it's starting to rival Purple Posy for my affections, shhh!  I decided to try for a one-layer card, and do my stamping in White Shimmer emboss - I'm a bit worried it's maybe too indistinct.  I do LOVE the white against the Seaside Spray, though, and even though it's supposed to be CAS, lol, I couldn't help but add on some matching sequins.  In two sizes.  Shhh again...
