We have a fun tic-tac-toe this round at Retro Rubber #196! It'll be sweet to pair it with fun Christmas packaging at SU Only #315! One of my annual neighborhood gifts is my yummy Christmas Toffee (affectionately called "Christmas Crack," lol) and half the fun is decorating the pretty cafe bags I usually package it in. I wanted to try a new one this year, and our Retro tic-tac-toe was just what I needed to get me started! I went with the top row - you know what's orange at Christmas?? A snowman's nose, of course! Whew! I pieced together my snow guys from 2015's Snow Place - still a classic! I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our challenges this round - meet you there! Snow Place Stamp Set (retired 2015); Cafe Bag; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Bermuda Bay Inks; Pumpkin Pie Blends Markers; Real Red & Old Olive Stamp-n-Write Markers; Snow Friends Dies; Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon; #RRCB196; #SUOC315. I'm super excited I just have time to squeeze in at Just Add Ink #585 for Christmas packaging - yay for a two week run! Lol... This was good timing, because I was just throwing together a little gift-card-and-a-cookie for our newspaper girl - she's been doing a good job, stepping into the shoes of the older gent that used to do it, and only a middle schooler! I'm impressed she can get up that early so consistently, lol. Anyway, I set up a little folding table with a note of thanks on it for her, along with this gable box, with an Amazon card and a cookie inside. I hope she'll appreciate it - she works hard! I couldn't resist another penguin tag, I had so much fun with those others - I added a little scrap DSP band to this one! Penguin Place Stamp Set; Penguin Playmates DSP; Lustrous White Mini Gable Boxes; Basic White & Fresh Freesia CS; Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue & Just Jade Inks; Tailor Made Tags Dies; Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon; White Baker's Twine; Fresh Freesia Jewels; #JAI585. Pumpkin Club January 1! Did you get your December Pumpkin kit yet? Let's "toast" the New Year with a punny Pumpkin Club! Check out the video HERE! I hope you can join us for our next Pumpkin Club, Saturday, January 1, at 3 PM - RSVP to let me know you are attending, we will be all safely socially distanced at our big table downstairs! For those that prefer, I will also have this kit TO GO after our live class - just let me know if you'd like that option! Club is free for my subscribers, and includes any extra supplies you might need, plus drinks and snacks! I will also have a few extra spots available for club for $10, even if you are not a subscriber - come see what we're up to - full kit not needed, I'll supply everything you need for the projects! Just bring your own snips and basic adhesive! Remember to subscribe here if you haven't already - sign up by January 10 and you can join us in time for next month! So glad I get to get in on Just Add Ink #438 - their last challenge of the year! The challenge is for a gift box - yay! The timing of this was perfect - I needed something quick and little for the neighbor kids, who came by to sing for us last night - these girls are so cute! I think one of them has a little crush on hubby, too, shhh... Anyway, I was able to whip up a mini milk carton for each of them (and Mom & Dad, lol) and fill it with Rolo's - a quick little treat to keep the holiday spirit going! I had just been going through my old dies and found this one - an oldie but goodie! I even still have the stamp set that goes with, Got Treats! Thanks for the carols, girls! Got Treats Stamp Set (retired 2011); Under the Mistletoe DSP; Crumb Cake, Whisper White & Old Olive CS; Early Espresso & Real Red Stampin' Write Markers; Bigz L Mini Milk Carton Die (Retired); Layering Squares Framelits; 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon; Mini Clothespin; #JAI438. Hm, I think I might have to dig deep for this week's Global Design Project #87 - their theme is cooking, baking or making, and I'm not sure what I have! I think I might be able to match it up with Stamp Ink Paper #99's packaging challenge, too, though - let's see what happens! I decided this was a great chance to revive my retired Yummy Little Christmas set - I didn't have enough time to do too much with it last holiday catty, and I've hung onto it since kitchen gifts are pretty big in my neighborhood. I've come up with a little Glassine Gift Bag of 4 tags - all different, all fun, and all YUMMY! Lol. I played with my fave retired Christmas DSP as well, love these colors together! Keeping this short - the supply list is huge! Yummy Little Christmas Stamp Set (retired); Merry Moments DSP (retired); Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Garden Green Inks; Glassine Gift Bag; Angled Tag Topper Punch; Layering Circles & Stitched Shapes Framelits; Early Espresso, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine; Linen Thread; Garden Green Candy Dots (retired); Old Olive Glittered Enamel Dots (NEW!); Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #GDP87; #SIP99. I also have ONE extra kit available for $20 if you'd like to come check it out! Remember to subscribe here if you haven't already - sign up by June 10 and you can join us in time for next month! I'm excited that our Stamp Ink Paper #88 is for anything BUT a card - I have just the thing standing by! Window Shopping and the Window Box Thinlits have been sitting on my desk for almost THREE weeks now, waiting for their turn at the ink. Crazy pants! I very rarely let a set sit for so long, lol. "Anything BUT a card" was just the kick I needed, for sure! I'm not totally thrilled with my final project here, but I did sure have a good time playing with all my pieces and thinking about possibilities. For today, I went with a fairly generic Birthday box, in neutral (but party!) colors. I DO love the dots! Window Shopping Stamp Set; Cherry on Top DSP (retired); Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder & Pool Party CS; Watermelon Wonder Ink; Watermelon Wonder Sequin Trim (I think from a past Paper Pumpkin, lol); Window Box Thinlits; Silver Enamel Shapes; #SIP88. Man Cards Class March 9 & 11! We all know it can sometimes be a bit of a challenge to come up with that just-right "man card!" So let's jump in with both feet and celebrate the guys with a Man Class! This class will feature 5 all-occasion cards for those special dudes. We'll play with several fun new sets and papers from our 2017 Occasions Catalog! $25 covers all your supplies (bring your own snips and adhesive!), snacks and drinks, plus a bonus treat from me! This class is also FREE with an order of $30 or more! Class is on for Thursday, March 9 at 630 pm, or Saturday, March 11 at 3 pm. RSVP today to reserve your spot! Ahhh, week three of My Pumpkin Challenge #0516 - 3-D Galore is upon us! Today I'm going to attempt combining with Try Stampin' on Tuesday #270! So hopefully, doing this cute gift bag will be OK over at TSoT, lol.. I DID look for challenge rules, I swear! Anyway, as I thought about putting this together, I really wanted to make my elements pop against the Cafe Bag. Then I remembered that I still have quite a few of those gorgeous die cut adhesives left over from the Hello Sunshine kit, so maybe I can meet the extra optional challenge theme of "May Flowers," too! I already have this bag loaded with goodies for my dear friend Laura - we have been doing her grocery shopping together for 4 YEARS now! Like the sentiment says, she is definitely the loveliest person I know! Lovely Little Wreath & Hello Sunshine Paper Pumpkins; plus, Petite Cafe Gift Bag; Whisper White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Key Tag (retired) & Decorative Label Punches; Sequins; Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon.
