So pretty - Time Out Challenges #173 has a gorgeous and fresh inspiration for us this week - so many details to choose from!
In the end, I couldn't resist that lovely white-over-woodgrain look, and I pulled out this lovely retired medallion for my shape - love it so much!  I added a tiny bit of greenery with my Sprig Punch, but otherwise, fairly uncomplicated, for such a big impact!

I'm really digging this "sunrise" sketch from Retro Rubber #96!
With the sketch in mind, I went and perused the Shelves of Retirement - such a fun past-time to walk down Memory Lane!  I love the chance Retro Rubber gives me to, um, justify, hanging on to some oldies but goodies, lol.  Anyway, the nice round shape on the sketch kept drawing me back to 2012's Jewish Celebrations - LOVE the artwork in this one!  I wish we could get a really robust new Judaic set, though even if we did, I'm pretty sure I'd still hang on to this beauty, lol.  Shalom, my friends!
Jewish Celebrations (retired-2012); Perfectly Artistic DSP (retired); Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Lt & Med Bermuda Bay & Dk Mint Macaron Blends Markers; Layering Circles Framelits; Silver Sequins; #RR96.

Look at all the lovely layers at this week's Retro Sketch #140!  I think I might have to pare it down a little, lol...
I was shocked to realize that I have not made a single Hanukkah card yet this year - what the hey?!  It's not like I didn't get the beautiful new stamp from this year's Holiday Catty!  I admit I harbored secret plans to also use it for a Halloween card, but that actually never happened...  Whew!
So it seemed like a return to my beautiful All Is Calm DSP was also in order - it has been such an inspiring color palette for me this year!  Enjoy!
Happy Hanukkah Stamp Set; All Is Calm DSP; Soft Sky & Whisper White CS; Basic Black, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky & Crushed Curry Inks; Delicate Details Lace Tape (retired); 1/8" Silver Ribbon.

OK, everyone knows that November is my CRAZY month, but, we still have time to squeeze in our next class!  This fun class is all about the prezzies, baby!  You'll make five adorable little packages, dressed to the nines of course, to help give you some ideas about how to share your holiday cheer!  Class is now scheduled for Thursday, November 20, 6:30 PM, chez Heroldt, all supplies included for $25.  Since we're tight on weekend space this month, please do let me know if I can schedule a different time that works better for you:  rather than set specific dates, I figured we'd try to work around YOUR schedule!  RSVP today!

Fresh Hanukkah 2 (Plus Pop & Place!)

What a simple and dramatic sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #106 this week!  So many possibilities for all our circular images!  I so love the iconic look of the images in our Jewish Celebrations set, I knew I wanted to use one of those, and I felt like the patterns married very well with a few of our Venetian Romance DSP designs as well - so "fresh!"  I didn't want to obscure the lovely image as much, so I stamped the sentiment on vellum, and used sticky strip to wrap the ends around the image layers, leaving a little "puffy" in the middle, so the sentiment doesn't get lost against the intricate background.  Neat effect!
Jewish Celebrations stamp set; Very Vanilla, Island Indigo & Pistachio Pudding CS; Venetian Romance DSP; Generic Vellum; Island Indigo Ink; 2 1/2" Circle Punch; Circles Collection Framelits.

And here's an awesome item to help us get ready for the holidays!  Introducing Pop & Place Holiday Gift Tags & Stamps!
This is a truly awesome set of items, with your choice of four different options!  The first item is a cool new "tag" book - have some really cute tag stamps, but don't have the punches?  Well, look no further - the tag book is your solution - 70+ tags in 5 designs, 2 pages of each design, all created from our existing tag & punch shapes, and that coordinate with this year's Season of Style suite.  To go with, there's a coordinating photopolymer stamp set of 19 brand new stamps just for the season!
You can get just the tag book, for $9.95, or just the stamps set, for $13.95, OR, both for a rockin' bundle of $19.95!  OR, get this, there's a sweet little starter set available, too, perfect for giving as your own gift:  The Tag Book, Stamps, AND a block and Soft Suede ink spot, so that everything needed to start cranking out the tags is ALL THERE, for $24.95!  If you decide to go for either bundle, consider getting extra tag books - after DEC 31, they'll be gone for good!  Be sure to click on the picture to check out the full flyer - it's a two pager with all the deets!

When I saw this week's Freshly Made Sketches #98, with its little round accents, I decided to go circles all the way!  This Jewish Celebrations carry-over set from last year's Holiday Mini was the perfect vehicle for that, and I got to use my new Circles Collection framelits, too!  Woo hoo!  Getting in the spirit of this month's Christmas Card class, can you tell?
Jewish Celebrations stamp set; Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Midnight Muse & Basic Gray CS; Midnight Muse ink; Versamark & Silver Embossing Powder; Circles Collection Framelits; Neutrals Button; Jumbo Pearls; Silver 1/8" Ribbon.

OK, I know I said no "more" sketch challenge blogs, but this week's Paper Craft Crew #16 was talking to me - I figured it would be just plain rude not to talk back!
I saw that big circle and thought, oo, that big circle shape in my Jewish Celebrations set would be PERFECT for this layout!  And since my Jewish friends wiped me out of Hanukkah cards at Mountainview this weekend (thanks, Tyla and Suzanne!) I figured I'd better start restocking!  Plus, um, I haven't even started the house cards this year.  Shocking, I know!  Every little bit helps at this point!

Jewish Celebrations stamp set; Brocade Blue (retired) and Brushed Silver Specialty CS; Festival of Prints DSP; Scallop Edge Border punch; Silver embossing; self-adhesive pearls.
