Sa-weet! Retro Rubber #122 has a sketch for us this week - excellent! I went hunting for a nice central shape to use for the sketch and couldn't stop thinking about this old favorite, Partridge & Pears. I SO love to color, and of course, this set was MADE for it, lol. I floated my pear tree over some nice deep colors from the Night Before Christmas DSP pack, and went to town. I even fussy cut all those leaves so I could float another circle layer in back, like the sketch - see how good I'm being? You know how I like to take liberties usually, lol... Partridge & Pears (Retired 2014) Stamp Set; Night Before Christmas DSP; Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Mango Melody, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes & Rectangle Stitched Dies; #RRCB122.

I'm so excited that Stamp Ink Paper #204 is having a "stencils & masking" challenge this week - because I never use them enough, lol! This time, I went back to my Seasonal Decorative Masks - this swirly paisley-ish mask has always fascinated me! I inked it up with some Fall colors and Sponge Daubers, and put a simple wish for joy over the top. A little Cajun Craze linen thread adds a bit of flair, too, lol. Love this color scheme! Tasteful Textures Stamp Set; Naturals White & Cajun Craze CS; Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Seasonal Decorative Masks; Stitched Shapes Dies; Cajun Craze Linen Thread; #SIP204. Love our akimbo layers in this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #432! It'll go great with our "Holiday Catty Fave" theme at this week's SU Only #235! So, every year, I swear to myself that I WON'T get any more snowmen, and EVERY year, I quickly succumb to new snowman cuteness, sigh. This year's set, Snowman Season, is also actually my fave set from the Holiday Catty this year - so many cute little snow-guys, doing their fun snowman thing, and there's even a punch! It also helps that the Let It Snow DSP that goes with is hands down my fave DSP this year, too - love these bright colors! So, what will YOU create? I can't wait to see, over at the challenges! Snowman Season Stamp Set; Let It Snow DSP; Whisper White, Coastal Cabana & Shaded Spruce CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Shaded Spruce & Pool Party Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #TSOT432; #SUO235. OK, super nifty - check out that adorable pumpkin diorama at this week's Fusion Card Challenge! I might have to make one of these, lol... I went with a Halloween scene to go with that awesome diorama, and then followed the sketch to set it up. These little witches' brew ingredients are my fave image from our Spooktacular Bash set, and I think this is my fave sentiment, too, lol. I had some fun coloring in my jars, and I cut a fancy Ornate Frame to help set off the words - simple, cute AND spooky - perfect! Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set; Monster Bash DSP; Gray Granite, Whisper White & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, So Saffron, Smoky Slate & Pretty Peacock Blends Markers; Ornate Frames Dies; Black Baker's Twine; Black Rhinestones; #FusionPumpkinDiorama. Yay! Just in time for the big day, The Male Room #122 has a Halloween theme for us! I couldn't resist pulling out these little dancing skeletons from our last Paper Pumpkin kit, Bone Appetit. I love seeing them dancing around! I went for a rainbow layout here, and added a nice big two-tone Halloween greeting from Spooktacular Bash. This one was fun and super quick to put together - and still good for a giggle! Bone Appetit & Spooktacular Bash Stamp Sets; Whisper White CS; Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay & Gorgeous Grape Inks; Basic Black & Poppy Parade Stamp-n-Write Markers; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #TMR122. Excellent - we have a die-cutting challenge to play with this week at Inspire Create Challenge #054 - so much to choose from! How about something brand new?? Oh yes, I still have Itty Bitty Christmas waiting for some ink, and woo, there's some gorgeous dies that go with it! I went with the pretty snowflakes, so I matched it with this pretty page from the Let It Snow DSP pack. I added a few sparklies to my flakes and a simple sentiment - loving it! AND, it was even speedy! Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set; Let It Snow DSP; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Christmas Layers & Stitched Shapes Dies; Real Red Baker's Twine; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #ICC054. Hm, this weeks Fab Friday #175 kind of looks like we are "boldly going where no one has gone before," lol! I decided to pull out my neglected Beautiful Day set for this one - I often turn to this big bloom for a fun alternative to large circle shapes. I also went with my fave purple-green color combos today, lol - I needed a little color boost! I was quite proud that I remembered to do ALL my layers with my Rectangle Stitched dies, too - I've been customizing sentiment layers on top for a bit, and forgetting that I could do my backgrounds to match, sigh... Not today! So, what will YOU create?? So excited to check it out - see you at the challenge! Beautiful Day Stamp Set; Gingham Gala DSP (retired); Whisper White, Basic Black & Mango Melody CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody & Blackberry Bliss Blends Markers; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #FabFri175. Excellent book choice over at The Library Challenge #44 this week - Harry Potter & the Philosopher's Stone (or the Sorcerer's Stone, as it's known in the US, lol.) What to do?? First I browsed for some likely stamp sets - anyone with a scarf who wants to be a Gryffindor? I think the penguins would LOVE that, but it wasn't quite right, lol. Could I transform my old lumberjack into Hagrid? Maybe... Then I spotted Calling All Heroes' lightning bolt, and I finally settled on doing a little punch-art, not usually my thing, lol. I pulled out a piece of my precious hoarded Blush Blossom CS for his face, hand cut a hair fringe, tucked in a lightning bolt, and finished with a half a pair of glasses, lol. I couldn't resist building this sentiment on the hair - I figure this can be a congrats or even a birthday card when the right occasion arises! Fun! Calling All Heroes (retired 2014) Stamp Set; Whisper White, Blush Blossom (retired), Early Espresso & Basic Black CS; Crushed Curry & Versamark Inks; Daffodil Delight Blends Marker; White EP; 2", 1 3/4" Circles, Corner Rounder & Word Window Punches; #TLC44. I decided to pull out my Rustic Retreat set for this one - I don't think I've even used it since my Christmas in July class, and I LOVE this little log cabin! This set has some great alternate sentiments in it, too - I think I see some masculine birthdays in its future, lol, but the fonts are so fun, as are the woodsy critters that can also go with. Hope this is CAS enough, lol, but this is the kind of winter scene I could settle in to - though I love my Sonoran Desert, too! Rustic Retreat Stamp Set; Whisper White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede, Bronze & Pool Party Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes Dies; #CASChristmasWinterScene. And, maybe you can work in some bonus stripes, too! My new thing this year seems to be tags in the round, lol - I went for layered circles for my shapes today, and I floated them over this new stripey paper in the Night Before Christmas DSP pack. I won't lie - I only got this paper because I saw some super cute mini curvy keepsakes with it a few weeks ago and I totally wanted to make them! I didn't get any of the rest of this suite, lol. Fortunately, I have plenty of other pretty Christmas sets I can use! So, what will YOU create for us this week?? I can't wait to check it out, over at the challenge! Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set; Night Before Christmas DSP; Very Vanilla, Old Olive & Pretty Peacock CS; Poppy Parade, Old Olive & Crushed Curry Inks; Stitched Shapes Dies; Red Tinsel Trim; #TSOT431.
