Gummy Bear Dreams

Such a dreamy quality to this week's Case This Sketch #210 - love it!  I'm adding in the bright color combo from Create With Connie & Mary #446, too!
So, as I nosed through my stamps looking for something to go with these colors, I was thinking about what I could do as a bright scatter of shapes.  I swear, I was still in dreamy mode, but then I saw Just Keep Swimming, and I was reminded of the GIANT bag of gummy bears I got for my daughter for Valentines.  She and hubby demolished it in like three days!  Then I thought about how cute these colors would be in gummies, and well, that was all she wrote, I'm afraid.  Only gummy dreamies, here!
Just Keep Swimming Stamp Set; Whisper White & Rich Razzleberry CS; Rich Razzleberry, Emerald Envy, Tangerine Tango & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Layering Ovals Framelits; Rich Razzleberry, Emerald Envy & Tangerine Tango Enamel Shapes; #CTS210; #CCMC446.

Ombre, Baby!

I love this paneled layout at Match the Sketch #165!  I'm going to add in the colors at In{k}spire Me #289, AND the ombre challenge from Just Add Ink #348!
So, I had an idea for the ombre almost right away, using the Irresistibly Floral DSP.  The problem was more what theme to give it with these colors, lol.  After QUITE a while browsing, I noticed my poor Something for Baby set - which I haven't used in an embarrassingly long time.  Yes, Heather, this is still current, lol.  Doh!  So, sorry to go all baby for a pink and blue color scheme, but still, what fun playing with the sponge brayer!  Hope the ombre effect shows!
Something For Baby & Sunshine Sayings Stamp Sets; Irresistibly Floral DSP; Whisper White & Smoky Slate CS; Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo & Tempting Turquoise Inks; Baby's First Framelits; Flirty Flamingo Enamel Shapes; #MTS165; #IM289;#JAI348.

Check out this fun landscape sketch from Paper Craft Crew #232!  So cute!  I'm combining it with these fresh colors from Color Throwdown #431!
So, argh, I FINALLY broke down and got Remarkable You, I've been drooling over this sweet set for SO long, but ahem, it's a little pricey, sigh. I gave in in the end, though, lol.  It was so much fun to color with these succulent colors, and then I got my freak on with fussy cutting, too - yes, I'm a weirdo, lol.  Loved it!
Remarkable You & Suite Sayings Stamp Sets; Succulent Garden DSP; Whisper White CS; Soft Suede, Mint Macaron, Garden Green & Perfect Plum Inks; Stitched Shapes Framelits; Perfect Plum Candy Dots (retired); Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon; Perfect Plum Button (retired - only two left!); White Baker's Twine; #PCC232; #CTD431.

Branches of Kindness (& Man Cards Mar 9 & 11!)

Aw, what a cute sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #310!  That little heart (which I will read as "any shape," lol) really makes me want to pair this one with Stamp Ink Paper #87's "kindness" theme, too!
I decided to kick off this card by browsing for stamp sets that had "kindness" in them.  I found two:  Jar of Love (SO tempting!) and Thoughtful Branches, which I really need to move to the Room of Retirement.  Really I'm just holding out hope that they'll revive this baby as a surprise birthday present or something, lol.  Anyway, I decided to go for this one, and opt for the shorter trunk so I could follow the landscape layout.  I've been so stuck on green lately!  I layered my stamped leaves over Pear Pizzazz and hand-trimmed, to add some depth - I know, CRAZY!
Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set; Serene Scenery & Succulent Garden DSP; Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip & Crumb Cake CS; old Olive, Chocolate Chip & Island Indigo Inks; Stitched Shapes Framelits; Beautiful Branches Thinlits; PL Corner Rounder Punch; Island Indigo Enamel Dots; #TSOT310; #SIP87.

Hanging My Stocking

I love the challenge at this week's Merry Monday #236 - stockings!  I think I'll add in this layout from Freshly Made Sketch #276 to help me along, too!
So, I have to say, I'm relieved to get to use my Hang Your Stocking set finally.  It's kind of weird - I resisted getting this set from our Holiday catty throughout the Christmas season - I do still have an older stocking set and punch to play with, which isn't often.  But then, I ended up having one last order to place from the catty right before it closed, and well, the framelits called my name, and I gave in, lol.  I've felt pretty silly ever since!  So, yay on me getting to use it finally.  Shh, don't tell my hubby my little tale of woe...
Hang Your Stocking Stamp Set; This Christmas DSP (almost gone!); Whisper White & Garden Green CS; Cherry Cobbler & Garden Green Inks; Stitched Shapes Framelits; Christmas Stockings Thinlits; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #MM236; #FMS276.

Glimmer Balloon

Lovely tilty lines at this week's Sketch Saturday #451!  I'm combining it with this fun color challenge over at Can You Case It #147!  AND, I'm also adding in What Will You Stamp #104's Lift Me Up challenge - yay!
So, I figured today was the day I could really nail down a a sparkly hot air balloon - how cool would that be?  Turns out, not as cool as I hoped, lol.  This is still a cute card and all, and I took my time with the fiddly process of cleaning up the die cut, but after all that, I feel like the balloon colors are pretty hard to see behind the glimmer paper - maybe I should have gone with foil?  Still, this was a fun card to put together, of course, and I do like these colors together!
Lift Me Up Stamp Set; Silver Glimmer Paper; Real Red DSP (retired); Whisper White, Pink Pirouette & Basic Back CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red (on envelope) Inks; Up & Away Thinlits; Pink Pirouette Candy Dots (retired); #SS451; #CYCI147; #WWYS104.

Here's a cool sketch from Case This Sketch #209 - nifty!  Paper Players #332's challenge to use a sentiment as a focal point seems to go hand-in-hand with this one!
For today's card, I decided to pull out my retired Adventure Awaits set - these sentiments just speak to me so much!  I was in the Room of Retirement earlier this week doing some sorting, and came across it again.  I was reminded of a friend who is about to graduate from culinary school, and the phrase I've chosen really defines her cooking, too, lol.  Perfect!
Adventure Awaits (retired), Moroccan Nights & Teeny Tiny Wishes (inside grad sentiment) Stamp Sets; Whisper White & Mint Macaron CS; Mint Macaron, Memento Tuxedo Black & Emerald Envy Inks; Mint Macaron Enamel Dots; #CTS209; #PP332.

Chicken on the Loose

Check out this bold sketch from In{k}spire Me #288!  I'm combining it with this fun theme challenge from TGIF #95 - Birds of a Feather!  And while I think I may be cheating a little, I'm also adding in Global Design Project #75's "wings" theme, lol.
So, I TOTALLY wanted to do chickens again today, but I feel like I just did Hey, Chick.  Then I heard some lonely clucking from the Room of Retirement and remembered that the Best of Cluck girls needed some ink, too, lol.  Simple and fun, straight up rendition of the sketch.  The only fiddly part was SAMJ-ing the sentiment - it's "stacked" in the set.  Yay, chickens!
Best of Cluck & Chicken Wire Stamp Sets (both retired!); Whisper White, Garden Green, Delightful Dijon & Cherry Cobbler CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green & Delightful Dijon Inks; Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker; Stitched Framelits; Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine; #IM288; #TGIF95; #GDP75.

I love the shapes in this week's Match the Sketch #164! I'm combining with these fun colors from Just Add Ink #347!
I'm pulling out another awesome set I haven't played with in a while:  these colors are just crying out for Watercolor Wings!  I also mixed up some DSP choices, too - I wanted some low key interest in my background panel, so I went for an uncolored panel from our yummy Inside the Lines SAB paper - love the look!  All the details came together for a quick and fresh Spring-y card!  Yay!
Watercolor Wings Stamp Set; Inside the Lines & Tasty Treats DSP; Whisper White & Pear Pizzazz CS; Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum, Rose Red & Mint Macaron Inks; Bitty Banners (retired) & Bold Butterfly Framelits; Pear Pizzazz Candy Dots (retired); #MTS164; #JAI347.

Today's cute layout is from Freshly Made Sketch #275, and I'm combining it with these woodsy colors from Color Throwdown #430!
I have to admit, the colors made me run straight to our gorgeous Vintage Leaves set for some pretty autumnal coloring!  And of course, another great chance to get rid of some ancient retired supplies I still have sitting around, lol.  See why I'm so afraid to buy new DSP stacks??  Ugh!  Anyway, I had a nice time aqua-painting, and I finished off with a sweet sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes - I'm so happy with the simple finish!
Vintage Leaves & Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets; Retired Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip & Marina Mist DSP; Delightful Dijon & Whisper White CS; Chocolate Chip, Delightful Dijon & Always Artichoke Inks; Bitty Banners (retired & Leaflets Framelits; Marina Mist Candy Dots (retired); #FMS275; #CTD430.
