Fusion Wings

Oo, what a great way to choose a color inspiration!  I'm loving this week's combo from Fusion!
Instead of birds, I landed on some pretty butterflies - I figured this was a good way to double up on some of those colors, lol.  I also turned the sketch, so I could fit in all those wings a bit better - hard to do in the corners!  I finished with this sweet sentiment from the old Watercolor Wings set I used - still true today!
Watercolor Wings Stamp Set (retired 2018); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Bumblebee, Dapper Denim (retired), Calypso Coral, Cajun Craze & Early Espresso Inks; Bold Butterfly & Butterflies Dies (both retired); Artisan Pearls (retired); #FusionColourBirds.

Such a fun cue this week at Shopping Our Stash #464 - "you deserve a hand!"
I knew right away what set I wanted to use, too, lol.  I've had this set from Our Daily Bread called Lift Up Our Hands since 2009, and I haven't used it since then, lol.  I think I originally got it because it went so perfectly with the theme our church used to use for their annual auction, which was called "Hearts & Hands."  We don't have that event any more {SOB} but this Lamentation quote is just as awesome!  So nice to get it out again!

5 Hearts

Oo, there's a fun little challenge this week at Make My Monday #168 - "3 hearts!"
I feel pretty done with Valentine's cards for the year, so I went hunting for something that had hearts but wasn't necessarily "romantic," if you know what I mean, lol.  I found this sweet row of birds in 2009's The More the Merrier set - so cute!  Instead of three hearts, I have five!  I kept it pretty simple, but had some fun coloring everything in with my Blends, and at the last second, I realized I had a few Coastal Cabana glitter dots to finish with, too!  Woo hoo!
The More the Merrier Stamp Set (retired 2009); Basic White & Bermuda Bay CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party & Mango Melody Blends Markers; Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots; #MMM168.

Hope you're ready to get cookin' - we have a yummy new "recipe" for you this week at As You See It #269!
I love working from our ingredient lists - such a fun way to play!  I started with the question dies or punches, picked dies, and quickly moved on to searching for die-cut images that I could color in pastels.  Simply Succulents was perfect, AND I haven't had it out in a while - perfect!  I originally used the "you've been on my mind" sentiment that comes with this set, but decided to be a stickler, and moved onto this one found in the Art Gallery set.  And how about that, I get to pull in additional dies that way, lol.  Some embossing, some twine, and I am done!  No take out for me today!
What will YOU do with our recipe this week?  Come show us!
Simply Succulents & Art Gallery Stamp Sets; Basic White, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, Purple Posy (retired) & So Saffron Blends Markers; Potted Succulents & Floral Gallery Dies; Coastal Weave EF; Linen Thread; Iridescent Sequins; #AYSI269.

Yay!  Less is More #457 is finally back from their well-deserved break, with a birthday challenge to celebrate their anniversary!  Woo hoo!
I couldn't resist going back to Mischievous Mice for another birthday card - this time with that big wedge of yummy cheese involved!  While I NEVER want to see these whiskers peeking out of my OWN cheese, I really can't resist the uber-cuteness of this image on paper, lol.  I kept it all very simple, and colored away with my Blends Markers!  I think it's lunchtime now, here...  Say cheese!

OK, this has to be the very last Valentine's this year, lol.  I can JUST sneak in to In{k}spire Me #471's day of love special!
Going through my stack of new-but-un-inked stamps, I shockingly still have not yet played with my Hello Ladybug set!  This cutie also has a coordinating Ladybug Builder Punch, perfect for both stamped or cardstock ladybugs!  I went with the cardstock today, though I did stamp on her cute black spots, lol.  I still have enough of favorite sheet of DSP from the Sweet Talk pack, too - yes!  I added a little Valentine's sentiment to the inside, so there's no mistake, lol...
Hello Ladybug & Sweet Conversations Stamp Sets; Sweet Talk DSP; Basic White, Basic Black, Blushing Bride & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Stitched Be Mine Dies; Ladybug Builder Punch; #IM471.

Loving our "tagged" landscape sketch this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #383!
Well, I just couldn't resist showing off our new early-release sneak peek set any longer, sigh.  This is my first crack at the glorious new Waves of Inspiration suite, coming your way soon!  It's truly stunning, and there are some extras that WON'T be part of the next annual catalog that I just HAD to have!  The DSP just cried out to be featured, and lovely water-toned gems are so yummy!  I know my card isn't doing the best justice, but I couldn't help myself!
So what will YOU do with our sketch?  I can't wait to see - meet you at the challenge!
Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set; Waves of the Ocean DSP; Basic White & Vellum CS; Pacific Point Ink; Tailor Made Tags & Ornate Frames Dies; Pacific Point Linen Thread (I think from an old Paper Pumpkin!); Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels;  #HSS383.

I'm back again at The Flower Challenge #65, who'd like us to make something for an "occasion!"
This was the perfect chance for me to finally ink up my newly arrived set, Wildflower Path!  I'm not sure what's going on with me, but a number of flower sets caught my eye in the Spring Mini this year, and {GASP} I've actually been getting them, lol.  This was one, that I feel like isn't shown to the most advantage in the catty - it's SO versatile and forgiving!  I put together a simple little corner arrangement, heat embossed my sentiment, and finished with a ribbon and tiny pearls - so quick, and SO fresh!  Love it!
Wildflower Path Stamp Set; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Old Olive & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Striped Ribbon in Blackberry Bliss; Share What You Love Pearls (retired); #TFC65.

Sunday Cuties

Ahhh, I love our soothing colors this week at Sunday Stamps #277!
So, after some study, I decided that the bottom colors read more as blue than green to me, even with the inspiration pic, lol.  Not only that, they read as RETIRED blues, lol, so I went with my Seaside Spray and Pretty Peacock pads, which I still love!  The pic made me think of succulents, which took me straight to our awesome new Cactus Cuties set!  Instead of using the amazing punch, I built this whole cactus and fussy cut it - so fun!
I can't wait to see YOUR ideas for these lovely colors - meet you at the challenge!
Cactus Cuties Stamp Set; Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Pretty Peacock & Seaside Spray (both retired) Inks; Coastal Weave EF; Iridescent Pearls; #SSC277.

This week's Cardz 4 Guyz #289 is all about LOVE - this should be fun, lol.
I tried to stay away from my Valentine's-specific sets for this one, but still bring the love, lol.  I think I hit the mark when I spotted my Count On Me set - these little critters are ALL adorable, but I so love this bear!  Choosing a sentiment was a bit of a challenge - they're all so loving!  I settled on this one for this chubby bear, lol, and set to work coloring and fussy cutting.  I floated everything over this lovely dark wood panel from the In Good Taste pack - I so love woodgrain on guy cards!  At the last second, a few tiny resin hearts found their way aboard, too.  Simple and cute!
