 Oh, this sounds fun - Inspire Create Challenge #194 wants to see a window on our projects! So cool! I really chewed this over in my mind, let me tell you! I wished for the 1000th time that I had gotten that peekaboo circles die from a few years back, and just generally spun my wheels for a morning, sigh. Then, light a bolt from above, I thought, hey, you know a super fun window card is obviously a SHAKER card! What do I have in current sets that would make a good shaker? A quick browse tossed up my Classic Wedding bundle, and I went to town! I decided to use some bright DSP from Florals in Bloom - I didn't get the stamps, but there are such great patterns on all the backs! I perched my buggy inside the window, and added some pink shaker mix that I made up from old Paper Pumpkins. With the sentiment inside on the car, I decided to float some wedding car cans on the outside. Such a fun wedding card!  What a cool layered sketch we have for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #449! This is a great chance for me to show off some upcoming Online Exclusive releases! I actually went ahead and got a combo that is a TINY bit outside my usual stomping ground, lol - lots of hot pink AND weddings! Don't get to say that too often, lol. Anyway, I took one look at the cool car caboose image in the Classic Wedding bundle, and I was smitten! Time to renew my vows, baby! I also threw caution to the wind and got the Marbled Elegance DSP - I do love marbled papers so much, and it turns out, I like them in all the "wrong" colors (for me, lol) just fine! I did my tilty panels up in Melon Mambo and one of our pretty gold-washed marbled sheets, and dressed up this Bentley boot for the big day! So cute! The Layers of Beauty set is a natural fit, of course, but how to do something a little different? And what sentiment? Happily, inspiration struck, and I thought of heat embossing White on the palest pink we have - Bubble Bath! I couldn't resist the contrast with Lemon Lime Twist, either - so fresh! I also hit on adding just a touch of extra depth, by coloring the largest roses with a Light Bubble Bath blend marker - love the look! I finished with this beautiful sentiment in Something Fancy - a match made in Heaven, so to speak, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR wedding cards this round - meet you at the challenge! After a bit of dithering, though, I focused on the sketch only - I really haven't used my Bloom & Grow set much at all, and it really seems made for this one! Since I also have the gorgeous dies for this one, I also put it all on dimensionals - love that look! I stamped everything in my Memento, and had a quiet few minutes coloring it all in with my Blends. I kept the colors soft - I'm seeing this as a lovely wedding card! I even finished the inside with a "congrats" from Peaceful Moments! I was really keeping my fingers and toes crossed that my first big new catty order would get here in time for this challenge, because I SO wanted to feature Serene Silhouettes - just beautiful images in this one, and I love the sentiments that go with them, too. There's a brilliant die set that goes along as well, that includes three additional words, and I was so happy to incude one of those, too, lol. I tried to keep as much white space as I could, but I couldn't resist featuring Purple Posy again, lol. Even though I still don't have a stamp pad, I now have the markers, so I hauled out my old spritzing tool and went to town. Love it! I used to spritz EVERYTHING, lol. Oo, a great June theme - the Sisterhood of Crafters has a wedding/anniversary challenge this week! So, there's been a technique making the rounds lately, called "No Line Watercoloring," that has just been calling to me - hello, aqua-painter techniques! I'm so there! So naturally, my first pass at this I pick a fussy-as-heck image to give it a go on, lol. But I LOVE the look of the "bouquet" in our departing Wonderful Romance set {SOB}, and the sentiment from our also leaving Petal Palette {SOB, SOB} is just the perfect combo for a sweet wedding thought! Basically you stamp as light an image as possible (I used stamped off Sahara Sand) and then you aqua-paint right up to and maybe over those lines to color in, making it look like you have free-hand painted this pretty image! I'm fairly pleased with my first try! After a quick study, I think I'll go with the center horizontal of "cake-flowers-one layer" - I have just the thing! I'm so pleased that Piece of Cake is one of our carrying over sets - and this pretty wedding cake assembly isn't one I've gotten to use too much yet, so even better! I kept it bare bones for a clean and simple one layer, and since I was so sparing, I feel like my three shiny sequins are not too over the top, lol. Quick and pretty - the best of all cards! Petal Palette provided the lovely blossoms, and I found just the right sentiments in Special Celebrations - I even have some inside phrases about old , new, borrowed and blue! Spring has sprung! My eye was immediately drawn to the bicycle picture from HSS, and I thought of this Pedal Pusher set from 2016's Sale-a-Bration - I loved it! It's a tough call because we have such a fun CURRENT bicycle set with dies and all, sigh... This one isn't very tall, though, so it went better with the sketch - you gotta do what you gotta do! I stuck to the lovely blues in the DSP for my colors, and kept it quick and simple - the best kind!
