VW Bride

OK, let me just say right up front that I KNOW I'm going pretty ridiculous here! I could never figure out how one could manage it, but that all changes today - I'm combining FOUR challenges here! They are Stamp Ink Paper #96's wedding theme, Try Stampin' on Tuesday #319's round card challenge, SU Only #173's feminine theme, and Retro Rubber #61's additional twist of buttons! Whew!
The first thing I did was visit the RoR (Room of Retirement!) for a likely "wedding" theme stamp. I was surprised at how many I was able to pull. In the end though, I just had to go with Beautiful Ride, from last year's Occasions (2016). I was so sorry that this set didn't make it to the "Big Book!" I went with an oval shape to better accommodate the VW, and, this shape also fits in a standard envelope - score! I brought on the Blushing Bride, of course, and had fun turning it into an easel, too. I think this turned out so well!

I'm so excited by Merry Monday #245 this week - I love a Crumb Cake Christmas! I'm using Freshly Made Sketch #285 to get me there, too!
OK, yes, that little star on the sketch sent me running for my beloved and still-going-strong Flurry of Wishes, and I LOVE the look of white embossing on Crumb Cake! Win all-round, and I added a few more white details to really bring on the contrast. I'm not positive, but I think this might be only the first or second time I've actually used the square stitched framelits - shh... I don't want to lose my stampin' license, lol...

It's Fab Time again! Check out our sketch Fab Fri #111! I think adding in the lovely citrus colors from Sunday Sketch Challenge #151 will be perfect!
I really wanted to play with our sketch today, do something very "interpretive." And in my studio, when the going gets tough, the tough fussy-cut, lol! I'm so glad this set, Butterfly Basics is carrying over - I really do fall back on this wild little collection quite a bit - no matter what combination of elements I do, they always look AMAZING - the mark of a great set!

Here's a classic bold sketch from Paper Players #341! I think Less Is More #325's "stripe" recipe will be perfect with it!
OK, somehow today the stripes reminded me of ice cream - has anyone walked down the Good Humor aisle at their grocery lately? Well, it's big business here in AZ, lol, and I LOVE to browse all the funky novelties and tasty classics they bring on here! There are indeed stripey popsicles, though we've lately been enamored with the ice cream version of candy bars in this house - the Butterfinger is even BETTER than the real thing, not something I thought was possible!

Love this bold central column at this week's Case This Sketch #218! I think I'll add in TGIF #104's polka dot challenge, too - I LOVE dots! AND, at teh last second, I've decided to throw in these colors from As You See It #148 - haven't gotten many color challenges this week!
Another set that made the retiring list that will be hard for me to say goodbye to is Flower Patch. I adore robust sets with equally robust framelit sets (even though I didn't use them today, lol!) I thought it would be fun to explore the colors with flowers, and float every thing over another retiree, the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. For this one, fear not! It looks like this folder is being reconfigured for an even better dotty field!

Hm, I feel like I'm seeing bar graphs at this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #318 - cool!
Well, yesterday's tasty sprinkles paper was still out on my desk, so what the heck - let's take those sprinkles for another spin, lol! This time, I went with the Sweet Cupcake set - I had an idea that started with the sentiments in that one, and a cupcake also looks yummy on this paper, mm-hmm! I love playing with all these pieces - such a joy to have framelits for every little thing!

Here's a fun layout from Freshly Made Sketch #284! And, after I put together a loose plan, I realized that I could adjust slightly to include Just Add Ink #356's "just choose two" challenge this week - wheeee!
I'm so glad we get another year with Balloon Celebration - I have to say this is my go-to party and celebration set, and I never get tired of the permutations of balloons I can create with it, lol. The sentiments are so varied, too - I love combing them with other sets as well! I also decided to use the sprinkles paper from Tasty Treats DSP to dictate my colors - can't go wrong with an ice cream inspiration, don't you think?? (Oops, I just noticed that with the sequins, I chose three instead of two - sorry!)

We're going tilty at Stamp Ink Paper #95 this week! I excited to add in these brilliant cheery colors from Color Throwdown #439, too.
So, I did go ahead and take advantage of the new catty pre-order opportunity available to demos, and picked up the Eastern Beauty suite. I have to admit, this is a fascinating and slightly intimidating set, but once I started playing with it today, I'm pretty psyched about putting together a class for the whole suite! The bright colors from CTD were a fun way to get my toes wet, and I also was able to try out some different ideas on the intricate thinlets, which don't all cut OUT shapes, rather, they leave cool negative space detail behind. A mental adjustment was required, lol...

Awww, Merry Monday #244's wreath challenge is perfectly timed for us to say goodby to our beloved Wondrous Wreath bundle at SU! It's had SUCH a great run!
I felt like embossing my brains out today, lol. Clearly, since I used three different powders! I wanted to do a softer color scheme in blues, whites and silver - and really show off some of the detail options of this set - gorgeous! I've always loved the layering possibilities with this set, and the framelit set that goes with has a little bit of everything! I especially love the thinlit words!

What a cool combo over at Fusion Card Challenge - "truck bouquet" lol. Love it! It's too good a match, too, with Paper Players #340's "On the Go" challenge, to pass up - I think I have something just right for these, lol!
That's right folks, the stampin' fairies got together and made a combo just for my beloved Loads of Love - yay! So much fun coloring in my little truck - doesn't she look sweet in Mint Macaron? It was a blast to color her little load of flowers to match this yummy DSP, too - ahhh, LoL rides again...
