 OK, let me just say right up front that I KNOW I'm going pretty ridiculous here! I could never figure out how one could manage it, but that all changes today - I'm combining FOUR challenges here! They are Stamp Ink Paper #96's wedding theme, Try Stampin' on Tuesday #319's round card challenge, SU Only #173's feminine theme, and Retro Rubber #61's additional twist of buttons! Whew! The first thing I did was visit the RoR (Room of Retirement!) for a likely "wedding" theme stamp. I was surprised at how many I was able to pull. In the end though, I just had to go with Beautiful Ride, from last year's Occasions (2016). I was so sorry that this set didn't make it to the "Big Book!" I went with an oval shape to better accommodate the VW, and, this shape also fits in a standard envelope - score! I brought on the Blushing Bride, of course, and had fun turning it into an easel, too. I think this turned out so well!  I'm so excited by Merry Monday #245 this week - I love a Crumb Cake Christmas! I'm using Freshly Made Sketch #285 to get me there, too! OK, yes, that little star on the sketch sent me running for my beloved and still-going-strong Flurry of Wishes, and I LOVE the look of white embossing on Crumb Cake! Win all-round, and I added a few more white details to really bring on the contrast. I'm not positive, but I think this might be only the first or second time I've actually used the square stitched framelits - shh... I don't want to lose my stampin' license, lol... I'm so glad this set, Butterfly Basics is carrying over - I really do fall back on this wild little collection quite a bit - no matter what combination of elements I do, they always look AMAZING - the mark of a great set! I thought it would be fun to explore the colors with flowers, and float every thing over another retiree, the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder. For this one, fear not! It looks like this folder is being reconfigured for an even better dotty field! I excited to add in these brilliant cheery colors from Color Throwdown #439, too. So, I did go ahead and take advantage of the new catty pre-order opportunity available to demos, and picked up the Eastern Beauty suite. I have to admit, this is a fascinating and slightly intimidating set, but once I started playing with it today, I'm pretty psyched about putting together a class for the whole suite! The bright colors from CTD were a fun way to get my toes wet, and I also was able to try out some different ideas on the intricate thinlets, which don't all cut OUT shapes, rather, they leave cool negative space detail behind. A mental adjustment was required, lol...
