![]() Such a great sketch this round at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #670! I can't wait! After a little thought, I realized I could fit in our pre-order set for our Creativity Now event next month! We were offered the upcoming Peaceful Garden suite to go along with the event, and it will be released to all in the Holiday Mini this year. It's gorgeous, all soft blues and neutrals, with a mix of sentiments, and lovely dies, too. There's DSP, ribbon, embellishments and a coordinating embossing folder as well - and I almost forgot the glimmer paper mix! A lot to keep track of, lol. Anyway, I loved this floral sheet, and picked out the torn edge with the delicate wines and leaves in the dies. Instead of the ribbon, I went with some Night of Navy Linen Thread, and I finished with some Hues of Blue Flowers, but the white ones, lol. I think it all looks gorgeous over the Basic Beige, too! Peace on Earth Stamp Set & Dies; Peaceful Garden DSP; Basic White, Basic Beige & Night of Navy CS; Night of Navy Ink; Tasteful Labels Dies (retired); Night of Navy Linen Thread; White Hues of Blue Flowers; #TSOT670. ![]() Pumpkin Club May 31! ![]() Such a fun landscape sketch this week at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #669! I was recently rooting through my dies box, and came across my old hybrid bundle of Twigs & Sprigs - and I'm ashamed to say I can't remember ever using it, even though it expired in 2023! {{BLUSH!!}} Today is the day, I guess, lol. I made a lovely background using the full embossing folder, and then picked out one of the sprigs in Mossy Meadow to go with my Sympathy sentiment from Something Fancy - so pretty! I really like the combo of the Mossy Meadow and the Soft Sea Foam, too! I brushed a tiny amount of Frost White fantast/x ink over my picked out sprig - I think my tiny little bottle is about done, lol. Something Fancy Stamp Set & Dies; Basic White, Mossy Meadow & Soft Sea Foam CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Frost White Fantast/x Ink (retired); Twigs & Sprigs Hybrid EF & Dies (retired); Pressed Flower Motifs Embellishments; #TSOT669. ![]() It's time to "make it green" for us this round at Make My Monday #248! I went browsing my shelves for a little set to use - since we're a little past St. Patty's Day, I wanted something else! As soon as I spotted Delicate Forest, I thought about all the greenery I could focus on with this one, and greenery is...GREEN! I did the Forest Frame first in Granny Apple Green, then added some Lemon Lime Twist & Garden Green details behind. Garden Green for my sentiment and embellies, and I am all set! I can't wait to see what green YOU bring to the table - meet you at the challenge! Delicate Forest Stamp Set; Basic White, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Garden Green Ink; Delicate Forest Dies; Garden Green Transparent Dots; #MMM248. ![]() Pumpkin Club March 29! AAA Cards #283 has come up with some sweet colors for us to try this round! After studying our choices for a bit, I pulled Mossy Meadow, Misty Moonlight and Soft Sea Foam to work with - I like to have the colors in my hand when I start looking over stamps, lol. I quickly identified that our gorgeous Wild Ferns might be a good one for it, could I blend some stems together? Turns out it was pretty perfect, since there's also that little texture stamp, too! I did a pretty column in that in Misty Moonlight, then added some fiddleheads in Mossy Meadow. It was just right to add to broad ferns in Soft Sea Foam, and then I covered the joint with my sentiment. These soft green pearls from the Festive Pearls pack were also made for this combo! So happy with how this came out! Wild Ferns Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Misty Moonlight, Mossy Meadow & Soft Sea Foam Inks; Wild Ferns Dies; Festive Pearls; #AAA283. ![]() Thank You Cards 2025! Somehow I got it into my head that I wanted to try one of old "landscape" sets on this one - I could see rolling hills and gorgeous evening skies - so I went with our retired Hills of Tuscany! This one has so many easy elements to piece together - I can't get enough of those bold cypress trees! I quickly diecut some Deckled Rectangle layers, then started scene-building on my White one - it came together just how I imagined! I Finished with a few Blackberry Bliss Transparent Dots, too! I can't wait to see YOUR visions for our cool colors - meet you at the challenge! Mine is hands-down my Blends Markers, lol. I LOVE to color, and I love to do with these babies! I like having the fine end, which I actually use the most, but I love the brush end to for large washes of color! And I love all the colors we have, and how smooth the ink goes on, and how easy it is to play with shading, and lifting, and - the list goes on, lol. And that's not even ouching on fun techniques with alcohol inks with them! Eee! Heck, I even still have some of our old Blendabilities, too - if it ain't dried out, I'll still use it, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR favorites, too - meet you at the challenge! I knew right away I wanted to focus on our glorious Changing Leaves bundle for this one! After embossing my white-on-white background, I stamped a large leafy stem in Moody Mauve, then surrounded it in detailed die-cuts in Blackberry Bliss and Wild Wheat - such a warm and yummy combo! After some experimentation, I was able to super-fray a little knot of our Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon - I felt like the regular ribbon was a tad too heavy for the look. A few Wild Wheat Glossy Dots was the perfect finishing touch! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our beautiful colors - meet you at the challenge! Changing Leaves Stamp Set; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Wild Wheat CS; Moody Mauve Ink; Changing Leaves Hybrid Dies & EF; Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #HSS445. ![]() Another fun one from Time Out Challenge #260 - striped! Game on! I knew right away that the stripes I wanted to show off today are from the upcoming Country Woods DSP pack - so many gorgeous woodgrains and distressed paints! Isn't this one fabulous? I did a cute flower bucket for this one, in coordinating colors, from an accompanying stamp bundle, Country Flowers. This was my "Stampin' After Hours" bundle choice at On Stage in Houston, and I was thrilled the DSP was on the pre-order, too! Anyway, I added in this gorgeous sympathy sentiment - I so love mixed font sentiments! So happy with how this came out! Country Flowers Stamp Set; Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink & Wild Wheat Blends Markers; Country Flowers Dies; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #TOC260. ![]() New Catty Preview Class April 13 at 2pm! That upper left corner pic SO reminded me of my beloved Feels Like Frost DSP - and I'm STILL hoarding some, lol - fancy that! I picked out a Queen Anne's Lace sheet that's just so delicate, and super close to our pic - beautiful! I added this loving sentiment from our new Perennial Postage set, and cut it out with the Countryside Corners Dies for something very calming. I finished with a few Night of Navy details - some Baker's Twine and some Enamel Dots - I love the quiet look of this! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our mood board - meet you at the challenge! I decided to go for a sympathy card in the end - mostly so I could use a current set, lol, and I love the sympathy sentiment in Heartfelt Hexagon so much! Just so pretty, and I like being able to add the elegant finials as well. I originally pulled my retired pack of Peaceful Poppies DSP, too, so I decided to stick with that - such gorgeous poppy sheets! I did a full card front and floated my dressed up hexagon over that with some Black grosgrain ribbon and Matte Black Dots. Easy design, with a nice splash of color! From the list, I think I covered red, black, punches, poppy and sympathy - pretty good!
