We're taking things on a slant this week at As You See It #266!  Come join the fun!
Today I wanted to try out our fancy new dies that go with the amazing Daffodil Daydream bundle - so pretty!  Once again I'm trying to tame them a bit before going all out, lol, and our pretty sketch seemed like the perfect chance to show off a layered flower over some of the SAB paper that also coordinates with the set.  I added in this sympathy sentiment from Inspired Thoughts as well, for a family on our street that has lost a beloved grandmother.  She loved flowers!  I hope this little note can let them know we're thinking of them...
I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our sketch - meet you at the challenge!
Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set; Daffodil Afternoon DSP; Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Bumblebee, Old Olive & Soft Sea Foam CS; Early Espresso Ink; Genial Gems; #AYSI266.

What a super fun challenge at this week's Cardz 4 Guyz #280 - add some metal!  Time to go mining, lol.
Look at that, I have one last Dog Bone trinket, perfect!  Sadly, it's perfect because our neighbors had to let their sweet baby go last weekend, after a long, glorious and joyous life - we'll all miss her!  Thought I'd send over a nice card to let them know we're still thinking of them.  I'll remember the good times forever!
Pampered Pets Stamp Set; Playful Pets DSP (retired); Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake & Real Red Blends Markers; Happy Heart EF (retired); Playful Pets Trim (retired); Playful Pets Trinkets (retired); Banner Pick a Punch; #C4G280.

This month Stamping Pals #16 has a great challenge for us - sympathy cards.  It's always hard to have to have one, but so good to send our caring thoughts to those who need them.
I decided to turn today to my gorgeous Inspired Thoughts set - the one with the new tree dies that are just incredible!  Today, I scooted them over to the left just a bit, to make room for the sympathy sentiment.  I did put the accompanying sentiment on the inside as well, where this post title comes from...  I kept it simple with these two soft colors, and added a touch of the new Open Weave Ribbon, with a few pearls - just little points of light, hopefully!
Inspired Thoughts & Beauty of Friendship (envelope) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Soft Succulent CS; Evening Evergreen Ink; Inspiring Canopy Dies; Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon; Pearl Basic Jewels; #SPC16.

OK, here we go!  Another one-layer card this week at Less Is More #441 - this time featuring "diamonds!"  Which way to go?
Well, I couldn't help it - I love this design in my Pattern Party Masks so much, and I hardly ever use it!  These little diamonds remind of twinkles, somehow, but I thought they'd make a sweet background for this pretty sympathy sentiment in Inspired Thoughts.  I slipped a little diecut poppy in Blackberry Bliss behind it, too - simple, but dramatic, I think!
Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Pattern Party Decorative Masks; Rectangle Stitched & Poppy Moments Dies; Iridescent Pearls; #LIM441.

Such a fun combo this week at In{k}spire Me #445 - I LOVE those colors together!
I thought at first I was only going to do the colors - I had a grand idea percolating in my mind about it!  But then, I just couldn't stop looking at the sketch, too - and I couldn't figure out how to work in the stamp set I planned, argh!  So I scrapped the percolating plan, and went with this lovely array of DSP instead, so I could tackle both sides of the challenge!  It's funny how the proportions JUST worked out for my sentiment, too, what a happy accident!
Heal Your Heart Stamp Set (2021 SAB); Pretty Peacock, Seaside Spray & Crushed Curry DSP; Smoky Slate & Basic White CS; Pretty Peacock Ink; Layering Circles Dies; Banner Triple Punch; Seaside Spray Faceted Dots; #IM445.

We're adding all the trimmings at this week's Try Stampin' on Tuesday #495!
I really was gonna try and get all the frills in there, but alas, it just wouldn't take, lol.  I even still have this trim punch!  Anyway, the basic layout is classic, so I stuck to that!  I still have a bit of this gorgeous Mint Macaron sheet from the Ornate Garden DSP pack, and I thought a nice floral arrangement from Bloom & Grow could be very comforting, so here we are.  I've actually pulled out the Vanilla cardstock, too - a big day!  For my large blooms, I added an undercoat of So Saffron to the Rococo Rose, I love the color effect!
I can't wait to see your projects for this one - it's a doozy!  See you at the challenge!
Heal Your Heart & Bloom & Grow Stamp Sets; Ornate Garden DSP; Very Vanilla & Mint Macaron CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mint Macaron, Rococo Rose & So Saffron Blends Markers; Tasteful Labels & Budding Blooms Dies; Mint Macaron Ribbon; #TSOT495.

This is cool - Time Out Challenges #175 wants us to be inspired by the word "quick" this week - however we interpret that!
Sadly, today I find myself in need of a condolence card for a dear friend.  Luckily, I have two new stamp sets from our upcoming Sale-A-Bration 2021 that will definitely help me satisfy the "quick" theme - this card took me about 6 minutes - though I spent 10 getting the stamps all mounted, lol.  My eye was caught first by this soothing sheet of DSP from our soon-to-be-released Oh So Ombre pack - the Rococo Rose is perfect for my friend.  Next up, the gorgeous Corner Bouquet heat embossed in Black Shimmer, along with this loving sentiment from Heal Your Heart.  I love the quiet wish I was able to achieve here, and so glad I can remind my friend I'm thinking of her.
Corner Bouquet & Heal Your Heart Stamp Sets (SAB 2021); Oh So Ombre DSP; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Versamark Ink; Shimmer Black EP; Rococo Rose Faceted Dots; #TOC175.

LOVE this sketch at this week's In{k}spire Me #427 - let's get started!
What a great way to show off some pretty DSP - I decided that I haven't been playing with the lovely Forever Greenery pack enough, so that's who got the prize!  I also decided to use this warm sympathy sentiment to go with from Woven Heirlooms - one of my fave sympathies, and, well, it looks so nice in a circle for the sketch, lol.  I decided to layer all the DSP in Pretty Peacock and do the circle in the same, so I heat embossed the sentiment in White - looks nice and sharp!  I'm finally getting the hang of that!

What lovely lily inspirations Hand Stamped Sentiments #334 has for us this week!
This finally gave me a chance to use one of the sheets I got in a DSP sampler - the Lily Impressions pack from Sale-A-Bration.  I actually haven't gotten any of the lilypad suite items, but the few sheets I have also seem to go pretty well with my Lilypad Lake set, so that's what I used.  I added some lake reeds and greenery, colored up my lovely heron like a flamingo and I was all set.  I combined three different die sets here - that's a lot, even for me, lol.
Lilypad Lake Stamp Set; Whisper White & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; ; Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Lakeside, Dockside & Stitched So Sweetly Dies; #HSS334.

Yeah, baby!  Retro Rubber #126 is back for their first challenge of 2020 with a winter theme - we have missed you guys!!
When I saw the theme, I knew right away I wanted to pull out my beloved White Christmas set from 2014 - gosh, I still love this set just as much as I ever did, lol.  This little tree-scape just can't be beat, and having a couple critters or birds to add is just so fun!  I kept this really paired down - I really wanted to try and make a Winter card that ISN'T a Christmas card, don't ask me why!  I added some snowy glitter, a couple cardinals, and this lovely sentiment from our Peaceful Moments set, which of course goes great with our new Stitched So Sweetly dies - another new fave, lol.  Love how this came out!
White Christmas (retired 2014) & Peaceful Moments Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Night of Navy & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red Blends Marker; Dazzling Diamonds Glitter; Stitched So Sweetly Dies; #RRCB126.
