We have a fill in the blank challenge for you this round at As You See It #334 - what's YOUR favorite crafting item?? Mine is hands-down my Blends Markers, lol. I LOVE to color, and I love to do with these babies! I like having the fine end, which I actually use the most, but I love the brush end to for large washes of color! And I love all the colors we have, and how smooth the ink goes on, and how easy it is to play with shading, and lifting, and - the list goes on, lol. And that's not even ouching on fun techniques with alcohol inks with them! Eee! Heck, I even still have some of our old Blendabilities, too - if it ain't dried out, I'll still use it, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR favorites, too - meet you at the challenge! Woo hoo! I am SO excited by our pretty purple colors this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #445! I knew right away I wanted to focus on our glorious Changing Leaves bundle for this one! After embossing my white-on-white background, I stamped a large leafy stem in Moody Mauve, then surrounded it in detailed die-cuts in Blackberry Bliss and Wild Wheat - such a warm and yummy combo! After some experimentation, I was able to super-fray a little knot of our Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon - I felt like the regular ribbon was a tad too heavy for the look. A few Wild Wheat Glossy Dots was the perfect finishing touch! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our beautiful colors - meet you at the challenge! Changing Leaves Stamp Set; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss & Wild Wheat CS; Moody Mauve Ink; Changing Leaves Hybrid Dies & EF; Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #HSS445. Another fun one from Time Out Challenge #260 - striped! Game on! I knew right away that the stripes I wanted to show off today are from the upcoming Country Woods DSP pack - so many gorgeous woodgrains and distressed paints! Isn't this one fabulous? I did a cute flower bucket for this one, in coordinating colors, from an accompanying stamp bundle, Country Flowers. This was my "Stampin' After Hours" bundle choice at On Stage in Houston, and I was thrilled the DSP was on the pre-order, too! Anyway, I added in this gorgeous sympathy sentiment - I so love mixed font sentiments! So happy with how this came out! Country Flowers Stamp Set; Country Woods DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink & Wild Wheat Blends Markers; Country Flowers Dies; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #TOC260. So fun - check out our frosty inspiration board this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments 429! Brrr! That upper left corner pic SO reminded me of my beloved Feels Like Frost DSP - and I'm STILL hoarding some, lol - fancy that! I picked out a Queen Anne's Lace sheet that's just so delicate, and super close to our pic - beautiful! I added this loving sentiment from our new Perennial Postage set, and cut it out with the Countryside Corners Dies for something very calming. I finished with a few Night of Navy details - some Baker's Twine and some Enamel Dots - I love the quiet look of this! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our mood board - meet you at the challenge! Perennial Postage Stamp Set; Feels Like Frost DSP (retired); Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Night of Navy Ink; Countryside Corners Dies; Night of Navy Baker's Twine; Night of Navy Enamel Dots; #HSS429. Lovely - Festive Friday #146 has a wonderful inspo list for us for Remembrance/Veteran's Day! I decided to go for a sympathy card in the end - mostly so I could use a current set, lol, and I love the sympathy sentiment in Heartfelt Hexagon so much! Just so pretty, and I like being able to add the elegant finials as well. I originally pulled my retired pack of Peaceful Poppies DSP, too, so I decided to stick with that - such gorgeous poppy sheets! I did a full card front and floated my dressed up hexagon over that with some Black grosgrain ribbon and Matte Black Dots. Easy design, with a nice splash of color! From the list, I think I covered red, black, punches, poppy and sympathy - pretty good! Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set; Peaceful Poppies DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Black & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Heartfelt Hexagon Punch; Black Grosgrain Ribbon; Matte Black Dots; #FF0146. Mmm, lovely snuggly colors we have this round at As You See It #309! I hope they make this sympathy card feel like a warm hug - I kept the design simple and sincere. The stamp and punch is from our new pre-release, called Heartfelt Hexagon. We get to take a sneak peek for tomorrow's World Card Making Day! I wanted to play with the set a tiny bit ahead of time, and this is where I landed. This gorgeous Copper Clay sheet is from the O Holy Night pack - I love the pattern sides almost as much as the scenery sides! I added some simple Misty Moonlight cotton ribbon, and a few first run Misty dots - I couldn't believe my eyes when I found these in a drawer, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for these toasty colors! Meet you at the challenge! Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White & Copper Clay CS; Copper Clay, Misty Moonlight & Crumb Cake Inks; Heartfelt Hexagon Punch; Misty Moonlight Cotton Ribbon; Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots; #AYSI309. Christmas Cards Part 2, Oct 14 at 2pm! That's right - you can never have too many Christmas cards! We'll be making 6 more designs to celebrate the season, all from our Holiday Mini Catalog! Class is on for Saturday, October 14, at 2 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! We're feeling fresh this week at Sunday Stamps #313 with our pretty colors! It was pretty hard to not go in a floral direction with these, especially with those daisies in the inspiration pic! I couldn't help but pull out one of my favorite flower sets still, Color & Contour! I love the layering scallop edge dies, and that there's also a few dies for the flowers, too! This stem is so easy and organic, and the two-step flower colors are super unfussy! I always add a bit of green to the leaves with markers, and this time I added some green spatter in the background. Of course, I immediately covered most of it up with my stems, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR takes on these fresh-as-a-daisy colors - meet you at the challenge! Color & Contour Stamp Set; Daffodil Delight DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Azure Afternoon & Granny Apple Green Inks; Granny Apple Green Blends Marker; Scalloped Contours & Timeless Arrangements Dies; Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dots; #SSC313. Critters Class 2023 We just can't let any of our cute critters get away! Time for a critter round-up! We'll be making 6 cards with envelopes, and NO fur, lol. Class includes all supplies (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!) snacks, drinks and a special gift from me all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, July 15, at 2 pm! RSVP now to save your spot! Oo, I'm getting that new In Color feeling from our challenge this round at Sunday Stamps #311! I decided to play with simple stamps, ink and paper today, and even went for Very Vanilla for my neutral! I hit on the idea of putting together some beautiful stems from our Meadow Dies, and then just adding a "wow" sentiment - when I remembered this sympathy in our Something Fancy bundle, I knew I was set, lol. Very little layering here, except for the stem overlap, and all the calm and sober colors for the occasion. Love it, and happy to have on hand for the moment. I can't wait to see what YOU do with our rich colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Something Fancy Stamp Set; Very Vanilla, Pebbled Path, Boho Blue & Moody Mauve CS; Pebbled Path & Boho Blue Inks; Something Fancy & Meadow Dies; Pebbled Path Glossy Dots; #SSC311. Woo! We're back with a fun new tic-tac-toe this round at Retro Rubber #201! I decided to try for the left-hand column - and I have just the set for the large sentiment! I actually don't get too many of those, and when I do they're usually dies, but I do still have my Sorry For Everything set from 2020 - such a versatile set! As you can see, this one is for a sad occasion for a dear friend. We'll miss you so much, Cooper, you little stinker. You were such a good girl! I kept it super simple, and stamped everything in Blackberry Bliss over this pretty sheet from our old Fine Art Floral DSP pack. I punched this little heart trio with our retired Heart to Heart punch - I still love the variety of hearts! I can't wait to see what YOU play on this board - meet you there! Sorry For Everything Stamp Set (retired 2020); Fine Art Floral DSP (retired); Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Heart to Heart Punch (retired); Pale Papaya Opal Rounds; #RRCB201. What a great way to kick off the year! Make My Monday #191 would like us to show off something new! I have just the thing, too, lol! I was looking for an excuse to ink up my pretty Something Fancy set, which you can also get bundled a gorgeous array of dies! At last, new and perfect sentiment tag shapes, with plenty of options for dressing up or down! I kept things simple for a quick sympathy card, which I think looks calm and elegant with this sheet from the Sun Prints DSP pack. I still had some Faux Suede Trim in Early Espresso, so I did my ink and other details in that, and finished with some Brushed Metallic Dots. I know I'll be using these new dies a lot! Something Fancy Stamp Set; Sun Prints DSP; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso Ink; Faux Suede Trim; Brushed Metallic Dots; #MMM191. Birthday Cards Class 2023! Let's start the year off by restocking our birthday card stash, shall we? We'll be making 6 delightful birthday cards with envelopes, all from the new Spring Mini and Sale-a-Bration catalogs!
