A Flower for Pals

Here we are with this week's Freshly Made Sketch #225! I'm also adding a new challenge to me, the lovely colors at Pals Paper Arts #289!
I think I need to pull out my cute little What I Love SAB stamp set for this one. The colors say to me,"Flowers, baby, with navy accents!" Lol, so that's what I went with. It took me a couple tries to get the right combination of full-strength and stamped-off inking, but I love it!

Yay - I can finally manage to squeeze in this week's Stamps, Ink Paper #36 challenge - and anything goes! I keep finding that the clock runs out on me at this challenge, so I'm kinda cheating this week, too, and using their sketch from last week as a guide, since I couldn't quite make it, lol...
I SO wanted to use the Going Global set and suite the most! It's a tiny irony that the Big Dipper stamp that I REALLY wanted use wound up on the envelope, lol. Still, I totally pleased myself here - yay!

Hm, this week's Merry Monday #193 bell challenge might be a toughie. Let's go exploring!
OK, slim pickings on the bells here, lol. The best I could come up with was this little cutie from the now-retired Oh, What Fun set - my hands down favorite from the last holiday catty! I decided to go quick and simple by the time I found it, lol - Fa la la la LA with bells on!

Here's a sketch with some sweet possibilities from Can You Case It #108!
My goal today was to use a DSP I haven't yet even touched - guess what won?! Yup, these cute little bumble bees. And if I have bees, I have to have a bear, lol. I'm hoping this will be a cute gender-neutral baby card for someone! Something sweet for the next little cub to come along!

Hm, here's a busy little sketch from Retro Sketch #203 - let's break it down!
So many design choices with this one - so I started with DSP, which gave me colors, which gave me the stamp set, because I can't seem to stop going back to my Cherry on Top DSP these days, lol! I had to do some strategic masking to make my layer cake narrow enough (isn't that why your least favorite washi was invented?) and I also dug out some stray sequins from various places. I think these are from my Christmas shaker cards, and the blue ones are from an old Pumpkin kit - All Shook Up, maybe?

For my final MPC0216 - Share Your Story, I thought I'd share some little treats I made for my family here, for just a little something sweet on the big V-Day, lol. And as soon as I saw this cute inspiration from Just Add Ink #299, I knew I was going watermelon, too!
I actually CASE'd these firecrackers from a picture I found in our catalog on page 5. Have you ever had the feeling that you find something new that you've totally missed EVERY single time you look through the catty? I get it every time, lol. And I sleep with one by my bedside, lol. Anyway, I just happened

to have two empty toilet paper rolls to play with, and I thought about how it'd be funny to stash some goodies in there - in this case, Twix and Kisses! I'm so thrifty...

Love this dotty sketch from Match the Sketch #112 - dots are so happy! Think I'll mix it up with this fun color challenge from Create With Connie & Mary #394!
So even though I LOVE dots, I knew I wanted to play with shape - so enter pretty much every butterfly I own, lol... What a time! Yes, I do indeed have quite a few extra flitters all over my work space right now - can't wait to see one on a dog's nose later today! While I was initially a bit nervous about these colors, I think I do enjoy them all scattered over each other like this - Yum!

Look at this lovely challenge from this week's Merry Monday #192! Berries!
I decided to pull out Bearing Gifts, because I SO didn't get to use it as much as I wanted that year! Never say never, lol... Since the berries on his wreath are so tiny, I picked out a few clusters in sequins on the top layer, which is actually one of the SAB Project Life Specialty Cards! I finally snagged those so I could experiment with using them on cards, since, shhh, I'm not a scrapbooker, lol. Again, I guess I should never say never, lol...

I think they must know over at Sunday Stamps #120 how much I love banners! Yay!
I was so excited about these banners that I wanted to pull out my party paper - Cherry on Top! I love these bright patterns so much... I added some texture, and then went a little crazy with the rhinestones - oops! Still, good times, lol...
