 I am so loving have a little Pumpkin Party every week with My Pumpkin Challenge #0714 - Celebrate! This week, I decided a little set of fun notes in our Pinwheel Party theme would be just right for adding a little bit of extra anticipation to our next supper night! We love to open our home to friends for dinner: come as you are, have a good time, but know how welcome you are here! Don't want to formal it up too much, so these little 3" Square Notes don't lay it on TOO thick, I'm thinking! These are all ready to hand out on Sunday! I'm a bit chagrined that I've had to revert back to my retired star punches for this set - the smallest star in the new framelits wasn't quite the right size for my sentiment... Producing the layers was a snap: the notes are 3" x 6", folded in half, and the CS layer is 2 7/8" square. To size the DSP pieces, cut each pinwheel shape into its 4 obvious triangles, stack two of the triangles, and trim one short edge of both triangles to 2 3/4" - the patterns will still be proportional on your smaller triangle! As a bonus, I tried to align the little pre-pierced holes to be on the edge I cut off... So what are you celebrating with YOUR Pumpkin this week?  Summer School is Winding Down! I'm so glad everyone has enjoyed playing catch up with our summer classes! Two classes remain, unless someone chimes in with anything else! There are still a couple weeks left to browse my past offerings, or describe to me something you remember us doing. Just email me which one you'd like to make up or repeat, and if you prefer day, evening or weekend. We'll schedule just for you, and work around your summer plans! No need to worry about being away for our regular class nights!  Our Fall/Halloween Clothespin Wreath Class is coming up! We'll be getting together on Saturday July 19, 3 pm to put this cutie together!  For this week's EXTRAORDINARY Freshly Made Sketch #104, I decided to try and play outside my usual color palette. Fortunately, I still have a TON of Venetian Romance left over from my convention swaps! Taking that as the lead, I fit in the elements of the sketch, and this is the result. I only had to rip pieces off once! I still feel like I could go back and add more "stuff," but I also wanted it to stay relatively clean. This sketch would be a great opportunity to do an embossed background, though. Hm... Oh, Hello stamp set; Pool Party & Very Vanilla CS; Venetian Romance DSP; Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Pistachio Pudding & Soft Suede inks; Neutrals Candy Dots.
