So glad for a chance to play one last time this year at FarmQuest Challenge Blog #66 - this round is for things found in barns! I thought I had a tractor, but I don't seem to anymore, lol. And I feel like I've used my hay bales set before at FQ, so I went hunting for something fresh, lol. When I spotted Gathered Wheat, I thought, they keep wheat in a barn, right? If nothing else, there used to be threshing barns, right? Hope so! Because I'm going for it, lol! I did this simple design of the big fancy wheat bundle, over some pretty Crushed Curry plaid. I also added details in what else? Wild Wheat! I cut the single sprouts from that, and added a few Wild Wheat Glossy Dots - looks perfect! Gathered Wheat Stamp Set (retired 2022); Plaid Tidings DSP (retired); Very Vanilla & Early Espresso CS; Early Espresso Ink; Daffodil Delight & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Wheat Dies (retired); Linen Thread; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #FQCB66.

This is a fun one - Farm Quest #63 is a feathers or friends challenge - off to check my critters! So besides feathers themselves, we could also pick out something from the TPP - that's turkeys, pheasants or peacocks to all us non-farmers, lol. I went hunting through my critter sets - I thought I had a pheasant, but apparently not. After some thought, I rummaged through my "mixed holidays" sets, and found Gift Givers from 2011 - STILL a great set! Anyway, I think this is my first time using this turkey image - yes! He was so handsome, I did him up two coordinating buddies to hang out, too, so they won't be lonely, lol. Quick and super fun - definitely brought a smile to my face! Gift Givers Stamp Set (retired 2011); Crushed Curry DSP (retired); Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Real Red & Pool Party Blends Markers; Curly Label Punch (retired); Cajun Craze Linen Thread; Pecan Pie Shimmer Gems; #FQCB63. Tag Buffet Nov 9, 2 pm Now to clean up the holidays with another all new class - introducing the tag buffet! RSVP now to save your spot! Check out our stunning lakeside picture for you at Retro Rubber #242 - we want to see some Fall! To get myself started I pulled my retired pack of All About Autumn DSP - still love SO many sheets in this one! I found a lovely tree one to use, and then added some smaller details from 2020's Painted Harvest stamp set - still one of my faves! I kept it pretty tight so as to leave as much of that gorgeous scenery showing as I could, lol, but I couldn't resist the leaves and acorns - these always take me straight to Fall! I can't wait to see YOUR Fall cards this round - what are YOUR Retro faves? Meet you at the challenge! Painted Harvest Stamp Set (retired 2020); All About Autumn DSP (retired); Very Vanilla & Cajun Craze CS; Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry & Pecan Pie Inks; Leaf Punch (retired); Gold Brushed Metallic Dots; #RRCB242. I immediately dubbed our sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #346 the "pipe organ" sketch in my mind, lol. So cool! I still feel like I haven't been playing with my Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking kit enough, lol, so I pulled it out again for today's card! Any chance to show off the pretty papers, lol. Anyway, I addressed the basic sketch, and then went to the wood die cuts again for my sentiment - I wanted it to pop just a little more, so I floated it on a strip of Early Espresso, and decided to use the negative piece for the little "give!" I think it came out super cute! The Earth Tone Shimmer Gems were a great match, too! I can't wait to see what YOU do with our fun sketch - meet you at the challenge! Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Kit; Early Espresso CS; Earth Tone Shimmer Gems; #SSC346. Oo, AAA Cards #275 is having an anything goes challenge - with an optional Autumn Colors twist! I'm in! At first, I was totally gonna do more Fall leaves, we don't seem to really get those here in the Valley of the Sun, but then I spotted my beloved Pick of the Patch set on the retired shelves - gosh, I love these guys! Really, it's the crook-necked gourd that does it for me, lol, every time! Anyway, I decided to do a little trio of likely punks, and dress them up, too, with their leaves and curly vines - so cute! I tried to pick some cute colors, too, for the optional twist - how did I live without Copper Clay before now?? Pick of the Patch Stamp Set; Very Vanilla & Copper Clay CS; Copper Clay, Pumpkin Pie & Mossy Meadow Inks; Natural Tones Linen Thread; Copper Clay Speckled Dots; #AAA275. Christmas Ephemera Class Oct 12, 2 PM Let's try something new! This class is all about the amazing holiday ephemera choices in this year's Holiday Catty - so many fun toys! What to do with it all?? We're about to find out! Class will include product shares of all the awesome offerings, including a full A Little Bit Festive DSP pack! You'll also get 6 full size cards bases and envelopes, plus a full pack of notecards and envelopes - we're going to have a blast! As usual, bring your own favorite snips and adhesive, AND a paper trimmer if you have one. Class will include all supplies needed, plus snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $30 - you don't want to miss it! Class is on for Saturday, October 12, at 2 pm! RSVP now to save your spot! Yay! Time for another tic-tac-toe at this round's Retro Rubber #241! It didn't take me long to decide on the left column for my play - and I knew JUST what I wanted to do for it, too! I went straight to my retired Pretty Pumpkins bundle (2021!) AND matched it up with my Autumn to Remember scrapbooking kit DSP, too! I'd been wanting to cut into this critter DSP since I first saw it, lol, though it's a little strange that all the animals face every which way, hm... ANYway, I quick cut out a Crumb Cake tag for my filigree pumpkin from the Detailed Pumpkin dies, and paper-pieced on some Old Olive leaves and the stem. Then I laid the BEST sentiment over it, from another sheet in the scrapping kit - I love how it all came out! A few Old Olive Faux Glass Dots finishes it off! I can't wait to see YOUR tic-tac-toe move this round - and don't forget to make it Retro! Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set (retired 2021); Autumn to Remember DSP; Basic White, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze & Old Olive CS; Early Espresso Ink; Detailed Pumpkins (retired 2021), Nested Essentials & Tailor Made Tags (retired) Dies; Braided Linen Trim; Old Olive Faux Glass Dots; #RRCB241. RSVP now to save your spot! Lol, looks like there's a new angle at this round's Sketch Saturday #760! So, to get started, I took about 2 minutes to imagine getting the angles right on a card front WITH a border, and rejected that plan outright, lol. I do like geometry, but not that much! I took the lazy way out, and layered on three sheets of paper, the last one being White to match the background. Ta da! Lazy girl geometry! I knew I wanted to use my Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Kit, which has been giving me the hairy eyeball on my desk for a couple weeks now, sigh. It has so many fun toys in it! I chose this pretty DSP, and then found a sheet of super thin laser-cut wooden elements - they are so beautiful! I layered this lovely sentiment over some Old Olive, and threw on some extra leaves for a little decor. So quick and fun! (But NO stamps - crazy-pants!) Autumn to Remember Scrapbooking Kit; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Stylish Shapes Dies; #SS760. Super yum! Cupcake Inspirations #602 wants to know our favorite food! So you know I HAD to pull out my More Than Autumn set again right? If you don't love Pumpkin Pie, we can't be friends! The only thing wrong with this set is how small the dollop of whipped cream is - in fact, I think I'll have to do another card correcting that - the full dollop is more what we go for in our house, lol - yes, I'll have some pie with that whipped cream, lol. Anyway, this was another fun and quick card with this yummiest of stamp sets - I am SO smitten! More Than Autumn Stamp Set; Basic White & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pumpkin Pie Inks; Pumpkin Pie & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; More Than Autumn Dies; Shiny Sequins; #CIC602. We want you to create your own background this round at Make My Monday #235! I love making my own leafy backgrounds, in JUST the colors I want, lol. And this is so the right time of year to do it! I decided to break in our latest Fall stamp set, this time from our recently released scrapbooking brochure - this is Autumn to Remember! I'm not a scrapbooker, but I figured I could still use these supplies to make cards - and I have one of the kits standing by, too! Anyway, I loved the big bold multi-font sentiments in this one, AND the pretty leaf images too! I picked some Fall colors and stamped and stamped-off my way along! I definitely love how it came out, and I finished with a few Espresso sequins to some sparkle! I can't wait to see YOUR backgrounds this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Autumn to Remember Stamp Set; Basic White & Early Espresso CS; Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie & Early Espresso Inks; Neutrals Sequins in Early Espresso; #MMM235. I'm loving our bold Fall colors at this round of Retro Rubber #239! I knew right away I had to color with these - I started by pulling all my Blends markers, old AND new, to set my colors! Looking over some fun Fall sets, I felt Falling For Leaves from 2018 calling me! I LOVE these beautiful tricked-out leaves - and perfect for coloring! I decided to focus on two of this larger one, that way I could mix up my colors a bit - such a blast! I love how they came out, and so glad to feature them both! I even fit in this sweet sentiment - a keeper with those multiple fonts! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our bright color challenge - don't forget to make it Retro!
