This'll be neat - AAA Birthday #59's cue this month is "geometric!" Love it! Ever since I played with that old pack of Confetti Celebration DSP from 2014, there has been this triangles sheet on my mind - so bold! Of course, the only color I still have from this particular sheet is Basic Gray, lol. But it sprang right to mind when I saw this challenge! I decided Pumpkin Pie could be close enough, and did my remaining details in Gray - this is one of my rare no-stamping cards! Such a blast - I layered up the DSP, then cut a Stitched Triangle from Pumpkin Pie. I finally added it at an angle across the background pattern, then I set up the sentiment with my Wanted To Say dies - LOVE these things! The little cloud layer behind it lets me pop it up with the big triangle! I finished with a few Gray Faceted Gems, the perfect touch. I'm so happy with how this came out! Wanted to Say & Stitched Triangles Dies; Confetti Celebration DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Gray & Pumpkin Pie CS; Faceted Gems; #AAAB59.

We have some delicate pretty colors for you this round at Sunday Stamps #331! With all those eggs, I couldn't help but think of Easter! I decided to play with Fluffiest Friends as soon as I spotted that cute little bunny! Since this set doesn't sentiments, I went with this pretty sentiment in our just-finished Sale-A-Bration set, Heartfelt Hellos! I decided to keep it all ultra CAS - no layers today! I did a little strand of background grass from Pear Pizzazz, and stamped my sentiment on Pool Party to float above that. After coloring in my bunny cutie, I popped him up overlapping the background pieces - so cute! At the last second, I decided to finish with these subtle Lemon Lolly Dots. Now I want an Easter cupcake, too! I can't wait to see your subtle projects for our colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Fluffiest Friends & Heartfelt Hellos (SAB 2024) Stamp Sets; Pear Pizzazz DSP (retired); Basic White, Pool Party & Pear Pizzazz (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia & Pool Party Blends Markers; Fluffiest Friends Dies; Heartfelt Hexagons Punch; Lemon Lolly Dots; #SSC331. This is intriguing - Cardz 4 Guyz #342 is for "Namesake Day" - haven't heard of that one before! At the very least, I need to incorporate a letter in my design! Since this is a GUY challenge, I started by looking up hubby's name - Todd. I was surprised to learn that it means "fox" in Old English - now that's something I can work with! By far the cutest fox, BESIDES hubby, lol, that I have is the speedy one on the little moped in my Zoo Crew DSP pack. I also STILL have my Define Your Life set from 2007, and the "T" in that set has the word "together!" Perfect! I decided to make an anniversary card with two of the cute foxes, and color their scarves to show that they're a couple, lol. Is this too obscure? I'm happy with it, but what a strange journey it was! Define Your Life & Defining Alphabet Stamp Sets (retired 2007); Poppy Parade & Zoo Crew DSPs; Basic White & Poppy Parade CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Poppy Parade Inks; Pool Party & Bubble Bath Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Matte Black Dots; #C4G342. Woo, hope you're ready! We have some Speedy Spring Flowers for our challenge this round at As You See It #319! One of my favorite ways to keep the time down on our speed challenges is to let the DSP do the heavy lifting, so to speak, lol. So when I checked out my stamp shelves for a good flower set to use, I tried to focus on ones that I knew I had DSP for. When Pansy Patch caught my eye, I knew right away I wanted to do this one - I suspect this beauty will finally retire this year, sigh. Did I still have any DSP for it though? I sure did, and it had a bunch of already cut pansies and leaves in it, too - jackpot! I assembled my items, and started the clock! I didn't really have a layout plan, and I didn't pre-select my pansies from the pile in there - oops, plus a run to the punch tower for my sentiment - so I still ended up taking 6 minutes 44 seconds while I fiddled pieces around - whew! I even had time to do the envelope! I can't wait to see YOUR speedy flowers for us, too - meet you at the challenge! Pansy Patch Stamp Set; Pansy Petals DSP (retired); Basic White & Evening Evergreen (retired) CS; Evening Evergreen Ink (retired); Pansy Dies; Large Oval Punch; Evening Evergreen Opal Rounds (retired); #AYSI319. Love it - AAA Cards #260 has a sweet sketch for us this round! I still have a couple stamp sets waiting on my desk for their ink-christening, so I checked there first for ideas. And we have a winner! Cap & Gown is our new graduation set, and since the one I've been using is Pure Gumption from 2013, I decided to do a little refresh, lol. It has some very fun images, that are perfect for coloring! Yay! I did a quick little trio of the important images, and added a little color to go with - Blueberry Bushel twice in one week? Aliens must have been here, lol. Anyway, as usual, I couldn't resist some cute little Blueberry embellies, too, but still pretty CAS, I think! Cap & Gown Stamp Set; Basic White & Smoky Slate CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Real Red, Blueberry Bushel, SU700 & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #AAA260. Cool! Cupcake Inspirations #589 has a color challenge for us this round! Orange and blue - my old high school colors! Go Spartans! So, I didn't go very West Springfield High today - I went STELLAR! Lol, it was SO fun to pull in my Stargazing DSP to make an imaginative space scene - I so love all the different colored planets and backgrounds to choose from! I even used Blueberry Bushel today - one I use the least, for sure, but this made my card closest to Spartan colors at least, lol. Good times! Reach For The Stars Stamp Set; Stargazing DSP; Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Blueberry Bushel Ink; Reach For The Stars Dies; Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems; #CIC589. Ahhh, so happy to see our Spring flowers theme this round at Retro Rubber #226! I was thrilled today to pull out my STILL all-time favorite tulip set Tranquil Tulips from 2018 - even without dies I can't let this beauty go! I decided to go with my favorite purples, too, since it's all about me today, lol. I found some fun papers in my old Flowering Fields DSP pack, and had some fun playing with shapes! Our most recent Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin had the perfect sentiment, too, so cute! I can't wait to see YOUR retro ( at least one year old!) Spring flower projects, too - meet you at the challenge! Tranquil Tulips (retired 2018) & Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin Stamp Sets; Flowering Fields DSP (retired); Basic White & Fresh Freesia CS; Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz (both retired) & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Nested Essentials Dies; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #RRCB226. We have a Spring theme for this round's Make My Monday #221 - weather, flowers, critters - whatever! It has been FOREVER since I had out my Playing in the Rain bundle - and these guys are perfect for Spring! I decided to go for this puddle-jumping bunny, he's so naughty, and I threw in some just-retired Sunny Days SAB paper - I used the heck out of this one! It was quick work to add just a few touches of color, and finish with some Fine Sparkle Gems - this is totally Spring on a card, lol. I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our Spring theme - meet you at the challenge! Playing in the Rain Stamp Set; Sunny Days DSP (retired); Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Bubble Bath & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Playing in the Rain & Stylish Shapes Dies; Pool Party Fine Sparkle Gems; #MMM221. This is a good one - FarmQuest #47 this round is "things found in a field!" I'm totally gonna have to go with my super cute Cutest Cows bundle again for this one! Cows in a field is iconic! I created a lovely Lemon Lime Twist field for them first - I pulled in the fencing from Hey Chuck, and the grasses from the Sending Love dies - just right! Next up came two cows, a boy and a girl, lol, in true dairy cow style, lol. I finished up with a few of our Adhesive-Backed Flowers that go with the bee suite! The "special day" sentiment is on the inside. Such cuties! Cutest Cows & Hey Chuck Stamp Sets; Lemon Lime Twist DSP; Basic White, Granny Apple Green & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Basic Black, Smoky Slate & SU1000 Blends Markers; Hey Chuck & Sending Love Dies; Cutest Cows Builder Punch; Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers; #FQCB47. Yay! Festive Friday #154 has an awesome St. Patrick's Day inspo list! Let's go green! I totally had to pull out my Gift Givers set from 2011 for this one - I love this little guy, AND he's so fun to color! I did a quick two-tone green background for him, then colored away, lol. For some gold embellies, I added some Gold Cording Trim behind his circles, and finished with some Festive Pearls - these suckers are SO shiny - I love them! So, I think I hit, Green, Gold, Gold Embellishments, Leprechaun and Good Luck Sentiment - this stamp has it all in a tiny space, lol. Gift Givers Stamp Set (retired 2011); Granny Apple Green DSP; Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Pool Party, Shaded Spruce, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, SU400 & SU800 Blends Markers; 1 3/4", 2", & 2 1/4" Circle Punches; Gold Cording Trim; Gold Festive Pearls; #FF0154. |
