I have been seeing some fanTABulous one-layer cards out there recently, and I clearly have a LOT of room to up my game, lol. WOW! Today, though, I kept it so minimalist, I feel a little conflicted about it, lol. There's barely even any color on there, either! Anyway, the yeti waited as long as he's going to, lol, he wanted to make his debut! I can't wait to show his Christmas parties, too, lol.  Ooo, wow! I LOVE In{k}spire Me #480's colors this week - Crumb Cake with any blue is so gorgeous! All these blues made me think of my new A Fish & A Wish set - I actually got this set to pair with scripture sayings, but for my first take, I'll bring in the "sea of thanks" sentiment from the set. I LOVE the organic style of the images and fonts here - can't you just see schools of little fishy flickering all over?? So many fun elements, and the builder punch for two of the fish works a treat! I see many underwater scenes ahead, lol... I've been hoarding it all for that day, and now I get to cut loose, lol. I combined it with the coordinating Cards & Envelopes pack about to be available in SAB, and broke out my new Stylish Shapes Dies - so much yum today! I did a few dunes and scrub grass, built my two trees, and finished with my paradise sentiment. Turns out that this pretty oval from the All That dies is the perfect fit! Imagine you're hearing seagulls, too, lol... There's a builder punch for this one, too, so I went all out and made a couple cherries to punch for my any shape. Turns out, this is a really fun set - wait'll you see the dies! (Next time!) For today, I did a stamped background using the pub glasses - I added some foam to each, plus the beer, of course, lol. I finished with a detail strip of the He's the Man DSP and this sentiment from our departing Happy & Heartfelt set. I love it when it all comes together! It even has dies to go with, with a few cute extras, as you can see, lol. I have to be honest, every single element of this card I ended up doing two or three times - girlie pastels are SO not my wheelhouse! I'm so glad I finally made it to something I'm actually happy with in the end - I think I need to clear my palette with a manly hippo card next, lol. I haven't yet specifically done a color challenge for this, so it's good to contribute. I envisioned FIELDS of flowers today, all for Ukraine, and our retiring Tulip Fields set was just right for it! I went with Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight for my colors. I slipped in a little windmill, and the sentiment was all too appropriate for the occasion. I finally settled on creating my "circle" background with Swirly Bird from 2019 - I'm liking the effect! I went with Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party, my two most tropical colors, lol. I then picked a pineapple for my big tropical feature - we have a dandy one in our old Timeless Tropical bundle, and I pulled the sentiment from there as well. Whew!
