Besides a fun "Dude" class in honor of Father's Day, and of course, yummy snacks and loving fellowship, the most exciting thing about tonight's class is that I finally got to hand out our new 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog! As usual, I also made a bookmark sampler of the new In Colors - Yummy! I even like the NAMES this year - Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana! I took the opportunity to showcase one of my favorite suites from the new catty too: Mosaic Madness, along with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and the Mosaic punch. Stampin' Up! really thought of everything! (Psst! You can find a discount-priced bundle of the stamp set and the punch on page 123! Yay for product bundles!) Here are tonight's class instructions as well - enjoy!

That sounds pretty incongruous, I guess, "Fabulous Lamentations." But I always try to name these cards for the sketches that inspired them, and this one is from Fab Friday 10. (Notice how I'm not even whining even a little about it being a color challenge? Did some laundry - big girl panties today!) On top of that, I loved this quote from Lamentations in my Our Daily Bread Scripture Collection 5, because it reminds me of my favorite psalm 16 - "Oh LORD, you are my portion and my cup; it is you who uphold my lot..." Funny how such awesome reassurance comes from such a sad song as Lamentations, but there it is... I take my hope where I find it - no questions asked! En Francais, Our Daily Bread Scripture Collection 5 & Hearts A Flutter stamp sets; Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Pool Party & Cherry Cobbler CS; Labels Collection & Hearts A Flutter Framelits; Large Doily sizzlet; Festive piercing pack; self-adhesive pearls. And don't forget - Sale-A-Bration is now LIVE! Time for all the fabulous goodies! This once a year event is such a fun Stampin' Up time - for every $50 you spend, you get to choose a FREE item from the SAB catalog! Woo hoo! Click the picture here to check out the catalog - or visit my store online! OK, with Sale-A-Bration's end looming ahead of us this Saturday, I am SO excited to share with you SU!'s 2012 catalog preview special offer - the Summer Smooches suite! You can click on the picture to go to a full-size pdf of the flyer. The paper, brads, stamp set and ribbon are all totally cute - look for a project at next month's class! (That'll be 4/18, for the planners among us!) What you really need to peek at, though, on the back of the flyer, is the new die for the Big Shot - the Petite Purse! Yow! It is the cutest thing ever, and VERY versatile, I'm seeing baskets, purses, fishing creels for the men in our lives, doctor bags... Amazing! This suite goes on sale for the month of April, and then will be on hiatus until the new catalog comes out June 1st - so dip in your toes! Ahhhhh, the wait is finally over! For all you mere mortals who are clueless on the Stampin' celebration, that's the release of the 2011-12 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog to you! And boy is it a humdinger - so many fresh new ideas and products, waiting, (just waiting!) for your delight! This is always such a great time of year - fresh looks at some familiar products, and of course, brand new products with their wealth of possibilities! To that end, I've posted a little sneaky peek at a card from our upcoming July 20 Card Class, which will feature all new items and colors from the new catalog - I hope you can join us! So, did anyone else try out the Grab Bag offer from SU! this round? I had never seen it before, and in the interest of scientific study, decided that I should get one of each of the sizes to see what was what! As you can see from the picture, I have just finished a very pleasant and reminiscent afternoon indeed, trying to identify all my goodies! It turns out that my grab bags contained TONS of orphaned elements from retired Simply Sent, Simply Scrappin' and various other odd-ball card sets and decorative packs that SU! has offered over the last 4 or 5 years or so, from what I can tell. I had to go all the way back to my very first catalog ever (not that long ago, I only caught the bug with the Fall-Winter 2007 issue!) to identify some of my components. I have ribbons, buttons, twine and stickers, too, to contend with. What a delight to explore some of the cards and colors that first caught my eye! Ahhh, Sage Shadow, I hardly knew ye. And Really Rust, I'm so sorry to finally lay my last three sheets of you to such a glorious rest! What a great inspiration for my appreciation gifts for all my volunteers this year! Card sets for everyone! |
