![]() So pretty - AAA Cards #288 has a fabulous sketch for us this round! This seemed like another great chance to break in one more upcoming stamp bundle - this one is called Sunrise Sailing! The bundle includes a lovely nautical stamp set, along with a hybrid embossing folder and dies, which I didn't break in to today, lol. The set has several fabulous sentiments, too, and I went with this "great things" one - I do so love a good encouraging card! I used a blending brush to create my background circle, and set my sailboat over it, along with some detail stamping on the sails and cabin. I couldn't resist a few sea birds, too! The sentiment was next, and then a few Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems. I think it's still pretty CAS! Sunrise Sailing Stamp Set; Misty Moonlight DSP; Basic White CS; Misty Moonlight & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; 2 1/2" Circle Punch; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #AAA288. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! ![]() Such a pretty mood board at this round of Hand Stamped Sentiments #459! Once I spotted it, I could not let go of that gorgeous picture of all the pretty lavender stems against a cool sky! Reminds me so much of the Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm on Maui - we love going there! And lucky for me, I still have my gorgeous Painted Lavender stamp set, and even plenty of the Perennial Lavender DSP! A quick browse through the DSP to get me started led me to this perfectly simple checked sheet in Crumb Cake - I'll just have to stamp my stem for this one! I cut a Radiating Stitched Rectangle with some dies to stamp and got to work! A simple single stem, strategically stamped-off and detailed up, with a little stem work was all I needed, and I finished with this sentiment from Comforting Thoughts. Just right! Painted Lavender & Comforting Thoughts Stamp Sets; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Blackberry Bliss & Shaded Spruce Inks; Radiating Stitches Dies; Linen Thread; Brushed Brass Butterflies; #HSS459. ![]() Such a cool sketch at this week's Hand Stamped Sentiments #458! I decided this would be a cute little showcase for Resourceful Rusty again - he is a busy guy! I popped him up on a stylish square, and did some flagged DSP behind him. I colored the leaves of the apples with Lemon Lime Twist, so I used this old Mini Striped ribbon in that color for my swath! I figured this would be a good sentiment for this Rusty as well - 3 apples in his mouth at once?? Maybe they're crabapples, lol. Anyway, fun and fast! Resourceful Rusty Stamp Set; Crumb Cake DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes & Nested Essentials Dies; Timber EF; Lemon Lime Twist Mini Striped Ribbon; Lemon Lime Twist Transparent Dots; #HSS458. ![]() So pretty - our theme this round at As You See It #342 is BIRDS! I decided to go old school for this one, and pulled last year's Silly Goose set - love these busy guys! My favorite image is of course "goose bumps," it makes me laugh out loud every time I see it! I did some Pumpkin Pie decor from the Friends of the Ocean DSP pack, and used a couple coordinating colors from there as well - so bright! I finished with some matching twine and dots, too! I can't wait to see YOUR bird projects - meet you at the challenge! Silly Goose Stamp Set (retired 2024); Friends of the Ocean DSP; Basic White, Summer Splash & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pumpkin Pie Blend Marker; Twisted Rope EF; Pumpkin Pie Heavy Baker's Twine; Sunny Day Iridescent Dots; #AYSI342. ![]() Pumpkin Club February 22! Festive Friday #178 has an inspo list for National Pink Shirt Day - anti-bullying! I chose a few items and got going! My favorite balloons right now are still this little trio from our 2020 Wonderful Moments set - love these ladies and their expressive sentiments! This sweet sentiment seemed like a great encouragement to go with balloons, and I dressed everything up in bright pinks from our Marbled Elegance DSP - I think I have a shot of actually using all of it! Anyway, I did my layers again with the Textured Notes dies, doctoring the smaller one on TWO sides for the sentiment - I love the look of this hatching! I fussy cut my balloon girl for extra drama and finished with some pink dots. I managed pink, glossy dots, words of encouragement, balloons, and maybe hands on my girl? Hard to say, lol. Still, I love how this came out! Wonderful Moments Stamp Set (retired 2020); Marbled Elegance DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Melon Mambo, SU400 & SU1000 Blends Markers; Textured Notes Dies; Sunny Day Iridescent Dots; #FF0178. ![]() Pumpkin Club February 22! This particular color challenge was made easier for me by the "any" comment, lol - otherwise these are challenging colors for me. I am SO not a pastel person! Luckily our moody 2023-25 In Colors were the perfect adaptation, lol, though I had to go a pretty imaginative route anyway! My eye was caught right away by our still-gorgeous Forever Forest Stamp Set, and I got thinking how I could combine two colors in the trees, and use the "yellow" on the moon and stars - score! All I needed to do was pick an additional set for my sentiment, since the trees don't have any. This line from the You Are Beautiful set seemed a good match for pink and blue trees to me, lol, and I finished with some "yellow" details. Whew! Forever Forest & You Are Beautiful Stamp Sets; Basic White CS; Baja Blue, Moody Mauve & Wild Wheat Inks; Forever Forest & Deckled Rectangles Dies; Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon; Wild Wheat Glossy Dots; #ICC186. ![]() Yay - another very cool sketch from Sketch Saturday #769! So, we have another super cute critter set coming soon in our Online Exclusives! He's called Resourceful Rusty, and you can color him up in so many ways! Today I went with a straight up red fox - he's trying so hard to hang on to all his apples! I though a few giant-sized ones from our Fruit Salad DSP would be the perfect detail addition, too, lol - imagine how big his eyes would be! Anyway, there are also 3 great sentiments of encouragement and support - just perfect for a quick pick-me-up! Love him! Resourceful Rusty Stamp Set; Fruit Salad & Gray Granite (retired) DSP; Basic White, Gray Granite & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Lemon Lime Twist, Real Red & Cajun Craze Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Transparent Dots in Lemon Lime Twist; #SS769. ![]() Oo, another fun one - The Male Room #195 wants to see something monochrome! I almost did some mushrooms in sepias - I've been seeing that around and it looks so awesome! However, I spotted my Bright Skies bundle and realized that I have a feeling this one won't be with us much longer, lol, so it's should get some ink! I did some layers in grays: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite & Pebbled Path - I also found a little Smoky Slate Twine! I cut out a few pretty clouds with the dies, and finished with my Basic Gray Pearls - so elegant... I know I could have monochromes anything, but with hubby red-green colorblind, we lean towards gray around here, lol. Bright Skies Stamp Set; Basic White, Basic Gray & Smoky Slate CS; Basic Gray, Gray Granite & Pebbled Path Inks; Bright Skies Dies; Smoky Slate Twine; Basic Gray Pearls; TMR195. ![]() Looks like a lot to juggle at this round of Sketch Saturday #761! I'm excited that this is another chance to jump into a pre-order set - only one left after today! For now, let's take a look at the upcoming Umbrella Days bundle - I'm really stoked by another set with this artwork style, it's gorgeous! It also has awesome dies, I played a little bit with a few of the extras - like the raincoat for the dog, the boot tops, and some umbrella canopy pieces, too, which I admit are a little weird, lol. I don't usually go for all the little bits and bobs, but as soon as I saw the dog sweater, I was a goner, lol. I dug out this sheet of DSP from my old Sunshine & Rainbows pack for a background, then started building some circles. I added the rain streaks image behind the boy, and the extra sentiment, too. With all these details, I ended up liking the result better than I thought I would, lol, though I took some tiny liberties with my layout - I just couldn't stay that symmetrical! Umbrella Days Stamp Set; Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (retired); Basic White, Smoky Slate & Daffodil Delight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pool Party Inks; Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Nude & Night of Navy Blends Markers; Umbrella Days & Deckled Circles Dies; Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon; Raindrop Enamel Drops (Paper Pumpkin?); #SOS761. ![]() Such a lovely Autumn inspiration quote for us at Time Out Challenges #273! Such a lovely quote cried out for a little effort on my part today, lol. I decided to pull out the stops with the coloring and play with my Brusho Crystal Colors again today - always good for some messy fun! I started with a whole sheet of our Watercolor Paper, put it safely on a "messy board, "and went to town with my crystals in yellow, orange and red. Then I spritzed with water to activate the colors, dried it with the heat gun, and went again. One more layer later I was happy with my results, and I made sure it was totally dry before I heat embossed my leaves in Gold and cut them out. They looked great against the Crumb Cake, and I stamped this perfect sentiment in the corner, before flicking some Cherry Cobbler ink over everything for good measure. Finito! I love it! Vintage Leaves (retired 2018) & Autumn Leaves Stamp Sets; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Watercolor CS; Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler & Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Brusho Crystal Colors; Leaflet Dies (retired); Linen Thread; TOC273. ![]() Christmas Ephemera Class Oct 12, 2 PM Let's try something new!
