Well, these safari animals make the cutest cupcakes, don't they? Such a playful inspiration this round at Cupcake Inspirations #553! I'm on a retiree roll this week, because the first set I thought of was our Bonanza Buddies from 2020, lol. This is still my favorite lion! I had forgotten about so many of the extras in this set - like the fun packages and bows, and the awesome tag die in the Bonanza Dies set! Just too cute! I even found some old SAB twine that I think came out at the same time as this bundle, lol. I'm pretty sure I have some DSP somewhere, too, lol. Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set (retired 2020); Basic White & Bermuda Bay CS; Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Bonanza Dies (retired); Yellow Twine (retired); Seasonal Sequins; #CIC553.

OK, how perfect is this week's code word at Addicted to CAS #229?? Let's CRAFT! I knew I would go straight back to my old It Starts With Art set from 2020 - so many crafty elements in that one! I went for the little stack of ribbon spools - mine might be a little bit out of control, lol. I chose this bold stripey DSP from our giant Design a Daydream pack, and took my colors from there! I even found a truly ancient spool of Daffodil Delight Grosgrain - I still have about 6 of these in various colors, left! And I knew I'd be using this crafty sentiment, too - the theme of many a stampin' retreat! It Starts With Art Stamp Set (retired 2020); Design a Daydream DSP; Basic White & Blackberry Bliss CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Old Olive & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Arts & Crafts Dies (retired); For Everything Fancy Pink Sequins; #ATC229. Wow, I can finally JUST make it to play at CAS on Friday #240 this round - for a Christmas theme! I decided to do one of our new snowmen - I just couldn't resist this year - he (or she!) has SO many accessories and elements to play with! I tried to keep it pretty simple for the CAS brief - this simple sentiment under a one-layer snow-dude. In the end, the hat and scarf looked better diecut, so I went with that. I finished with three tiny snowflake sequins - these have lasted me for so long! Snowman Magic Stamp Set; Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie & Pool Party Inks; Snowman Dies; Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes; #CASOF240. We have some great spots at our tic-tac-toe challenge this round at Retro Rubber #192! I get to make it monochrome for our challenge this week at SU Only #311, too! After much dithering, I finally settled on the diagonal of Nautical-pattern paper-blue - that bolsters my monochrome goals pretty handily! I went back to our gorgeous Sailing Home set - even though it only retired earlier this year, it was first released in 2019! And still gorgeous. I pulled this scrap of stripey DSP from the Sun Prints pack, and stuck to Night of Navy for all my details! I also love to use the blender pen on the images in this set - gives them so much pop! I can't wait to see YOUR creations for our challenges this round - meet you there! Sailing Home Stamp Set (retired 2022); Sun Prints DSP; Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Night of Navy Ink; Blender Pen; Smooth Sailing (retired) & Stylish Shapes Dies; High Seas EF (retired); Iridescent Pearls; #RRCB192; #SUOC311. There's a super fun combo at this week's Fusion Front Porch challenge - great sketch AND inspo pic! I had to think for a bit to decide on a direction - I think I must have sold my retired "bench" set - drat! In the end I went with this little scene using Plentiful Plants - still love this one - and added some brick texture. I had the impression of pale blues and greens, so I went with that for my colors, too. I'm so pleased with how it came out - I have a tough time playing both sides at Fusion most of the time, lol. Plentiful Plants Stamp Set; Splendid Day DSP; Basic White, Pool Party & Crumb Cake CS; Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz & Smoky Slate Inks; Brick & Mortar EF; Perfect Plants Dies; Seasonal Sequins; #FusionFrontPorch. I laughed out loud when I saw the them for Shopping Our Stash #479 - "Hey, (h)Ombre!" I seem to recall picking up a pack of our 6" x 6" Ombre Glimmer Paper in our latest In Colors - is that still around? After a quick search, I found it, and I've never even opened it! {BLUSH} Good thing I have SOS cheering me on, lol. With all that pretty glimmer, THIS goofy card is what I hit on, lol. I still laugh every time I see the big "woo hoo" on our now-retired Amazing Phrasing SAB set, so I pulled that, too, and got to work. I started with a little strip on one edge, and then worked the woo-hoo all the way up the card. I stamped off super quick to do my two center ones, then longer to get the lightest ones on top. I even had ombre Matte Dots, lol. Goofy, I tell you! Amazing Phrasing Stamp Set (retired 2022); Starry Sky Ombre Glimmer Paper; Basic White CS; Starry Sky Ink; Starry Sky Matte Decorative Dots; #SOS479. So perfect, Make My Monday #183 is celebrating friendship this round - what a great cue! I started out by hunting down a good "friendship" sentiment, which I of course found in the Beauty of Friendship set, lol. Sometimes I miss the obvious, lol. Anyway, I played with the dies more for this one than I have before, and I love them! I kept things pretty simple, just a tree and a phrase, but I did dress up my leaf canopy with Blender Brush to make it softer than a colored cardstock. And then I realized that the die for these cute birds was the perfect touch for a friendship theme! I'm really pleased with how this all came out! Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set; Basic White, Early Espresso, Pool Party & Crumb Cake CS; Old Olive & Crumb Cake Inks; Blender Brush; Beautiful Trees Dies; Solid Faceted Gems; #MMM183. Such a fun bold sketch we have this round at As You See It #284! Believe it or not, today I started with the sentiment! I went looking for something long enough for that cross-piece, and large enough to read well. I quickly hit on my fave from the Begin With a Dream set - but I wanted something a little different for the image. I went with these fun colorful stripes for my background, and thought, do I have a funny critter with a big dream? Why yes I do! I couldn't resist this frog on a unicycle once I spotted it, and I love that I have dies for it, too! This card SO makes me smile, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR projects for our layout this round - meet you there! Begin With a Dream & So Hoppy Together (retired 2019) Stamp Sets; Celebrate Everything DSP; Basic White & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Polished Pink, Smoky Slate & Basic Black Blends Markers; Hope Around Dies (retired); Polished Pink Jewels; #AYSI284. Oo, a great theme at this month's CAS Christmas - "sparkle and shine!" I really wanted to try out more of the fun dies in Decorated With Happiness, so I got busy with this set! The stamped branch also has its own die, and I got to try the scribble stamp for coloring, too - I did mine in stamped off Shaded Spruce over Early Espresso. All that Spruce needed a pop of Cherry Cobbler, too, lol, and I finished with lots of shiny silver stars - three sizes in multiple dies! So convenient when you have to cut a bunch! This ended up being quick and fun! Decorated With Happiness Stamp Set; Shaded Spruce, Basic White & Silver Foil CS; Early Espresso, Shaded Spruce, Memento Tuxedo Black, Smoky Slate & Cherry Cobbler Inks; Cherry Cobbler & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Decorated Pine Dies; #CASChristmasShine. I love the little twist The Flower Challenge #72 is adding this round - "add sparkle!" This blog is SO rehabbing my flower-phobia! For today's card, I chose Sending Smiles - I just love these stems and blossoms! The dies make it so easy to cut out all the pieces, or, you can just build it by stamping it all together - photopolymer makes for SUCH easy placement. It's funny, I don't often use the big "sending" sentiment that goes with all these cute phrases - it's so big, by the time I'm placing my flowers, I've run out of room, lol. Stamp-World problems, I know, lol. Sending Smiles Stamp Set; Basic White, Basic Black & Mango Melody CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Mango Melody & Granny Apple Green Inks; Sending Dies; Painted Textures EF; Iridescent Rhinestones; TFC72.
