 Wow, Hand Stamped Sentiments #328 has an awesome array of inspiration for us this week! Ho ho ho! I decided to go and quick and CAS route today - I really wanted to use this "comfort and joy" sentiment in Tidings All Around - I love that these sentiment fit INSIDE the stamped wreath, as much as I love the fancier diecut one we also get in these dies. I added lots of berries like the one in the inspiration pic, a simple bow, and a few bright sequins - fastest Christmas card in the West, lol! I really wanted to do the fox and her kit today, and the foxy colors made me want to pull out this retired Painted Seasons DSP - I have gobs of this stuff so I never run out, lol. I've actually been trying hard to kick the hoarding habit, but this pack set off all my "mine!mine!mine!" reflexes! I think this sheet makes a sweet background for our pretty vixen! This week's Library Challenge #46 is the wonderful The Sewing Machine by Natalie Fergie - what a great read! So this one ended up being a tough one for me, since I apparently don't have my Sew Suite set anymore - bummer! Fortunately, I could still bring in my Needle & Thread set to save the day! I kept things fairly simple and chose a lovely background sheet from the Needlepoint Nook DSP, then made a pretty stitched medallion for a quiet but cheery get well. I finished with a few needlepoint details and tiny rhinestones. I love all these blues together! Another fun combo from this week's Fusion "Thankful" challenge - cool sketch! I decided to try and "fuse" the botanical theme and the thankful with my trusty old Acorny Thank You - sometimes you just need nuts with snazzy hats, lol. I went for some suitable autumnal colors, and floated them all over Soft Sea Foam, which is quickly becoming my most-used background! I kept thing super clean and almost one layer for me - the only thing popped up is the sentiment, lol. Quiet and simple, just right.
