Burlap Boo!

Ooo, I'm so excited about this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #1014 - Sweets & Treats!  We're going to have so much fun with this one!
So, my kit barely came in time for me to play along this week - whew, it was cutting it close for sure.  I was so happy to see my kits, I decided I needed a card to celebrate!  Tips:  you should probably open your kit up and lay out your burlap treat sacks to air out a bit - burlap likes to breathe a little, lol!  I decided to cut one up to run through my Big Shot with  a framelit - worked like a charm - just carefully pull away the scrap, in case any of the threads don't quite cut through all the way.  The new Fast Fuse adhesive works a total treat for gluing the fabric down to the card stock, and then for attaching a tag to the top - perfect!  I made the Tangelo Twist layer by tracing AROUND the framelit and hand cutting the shape!
Paper Pumpkin Boo-Tiful Bags; plus, Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss & Tangelo Twist CS; Basic Black Ink; Filigree Frame Embossing Folder; Apothecary Accents Framelits; Corner Rounder Punch; Fast Fuse Adhesive.

Uh oh, check out the round shapes in this week's In{k}spire Me #166!  How curious that this sketch pops up just as I have unburied an ancient set of "Carousel Notes," from the 2008 catalog!  This set included 6" square Chocolate Chip envelopes and 5 1/2" scallop circle note cards in a variety of colors, of which I have a few Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss ones remaining.  Talk about a blast from the past!  Let's start from there!
So, it's turning out to be a pretty "rogue" card - all retired and non-SU! (shh...)  I got to thinking that the nice rectangle in the middle was perfect for a scripture saying, and once I started with one retired color, I just has to bring out more of my hoarded stock, lol...  Oh well!  I'd have used Kiwi Kiss instead of Lucky Limeade if they had made the markers back then!
Our Daily Bread Scripture Collection 3 Stamp Set; Carousel Note in Baja Breeze (retired); Whisper White, Smoky Slate & Lucky Limeade (retired) CS; Chocolate Chip & Lucky Limeade (retired)  Markers; Circles Collection Framelits; Elegant Lines Embossing Folder (retired); Neutrals Button in Basic Gray (retired); Lucky Limeade Organdy 1/8" Ribbon (retired.)

I love the tag in the layout of this week's Freshly Made Sketch #155!  And look at that - Nacho Average Challenge #108 has given me a spooky color scheme to play with too - yeah!
So, conveniently, the Merry Everything set actually has a Halloween tag - excellent!  Now to dress it up a bit!  Notice that I brushed a bit of white craft ink over my spider web emboss to help it pop a bit more.  I had to add that bit of black, too, but I think that'll be ok, lol!
Merry Everything Stamp Set; Moonlight DSP Pack; Whisper White, Basic Black, Mossy Meadow & Tangelo Twist CS; Whisper White Craft, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss & Basic Black Inks; Banners Framelit Dies; Note Tag & Bitty Bat (retired) Punches; Spider Web Embossing Folder (retired); Basic Jewel Rhinestones, colored with Pumpkin Pie Blenda.

Funky Festival of Trees

I can not resist combining Clean & Simple #308 with Sunday Stamps #85's yummy color challenge this week!  Hopefully that'll help make up for going the obvious route and using Festival of Trees on the sketch - I can't help it!
I spent some time playing with combining colors and tree accessories - I think I actually like the final result, too!  Funky and colorful!  Of course, it's hard to wrong with green and purple in any combo in my book!
Festival of Trees Stamp Set; Regals DSP Stack in Garden Green (retired); Gold Shimmer, Very Vanilla & Rich Razzlebery CS; Garden Green, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry & Gold Encore Inks; Gold Embossing Powder; Tree Punch.

Merry Bauble

Wow!  I've never tried something like this week's Merry Monday #127 - Christmas Bingo!  The idea is that you pick your "bingo," across, down or diagonal, of the sketch suggestions listed on the pic below, and create from there!  Ooo, what to pick?  Think I'll take the center vertical row - DSP, Ribbon or Twine & a Punch.
With a wide open field like that, I decided to totally indulge some of my personal faves on this one - most notably, this particular DSP from the All Is Calm collection.  Since I haven't played with my Christmas Bauble yet, I threw that in, too!
Christmas Bauble & Good Greetings Stamp Sets; All Is Calm DSP; Whisper White & Pear Pizzazz CS; Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate, Pear Pizzazz & Soft Sky Inks; 1 1/4" Circle Punch; Bitty Banners Framelits; Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon; Linen Thread; Basic Jewel Rhinestones.

Hee, this week's Retro Sketch #133 looks all buttoned up, doesn't it?
I think this cool layout is perfect for showcasing some pretty DSP, but I don't feel very floral today - so I'm going dotty, lol...  I really love all the colors in the Lullaby DSP collection - anyone else starting to feel a twinge of alarm at the countdown to lose Coastal Cabana?  I sure am!  I feel that way about Baked Brown Sugar, too, sigh...  What to do?
Just Sayin' Stamp Set; Lullaby DSP; Whisper White & Coastal Cabana CS; Baked Brown Sugar & Coastal Cabana Inks; Word Bubble Framelits; Corner Rounder Punch; Large Polka Dots & Decorative Dots Embossing Folders; Subtles & Brights Buttons in Bermuda Bay, So Saffron & Crumb Cake; White Baker's Twine.

Hm, I think today that I will match up Clean & Simple #307 and In{k}spire Me #165 - just seems too intriguing not to try!
So, I only got ONE non-Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Catalog this year (you couldn't tell, could you?) and I've decided it Needs some air!  Having its own framelit set is what ensures I will fall for it, darn it!
So, instead of flowers, I went with leaves, and we'll just have to imagine that there are turquoise leaves out there somewhere, lol...  I do love the woodsy look of this card - pretty!
Fall Fest, Chalk Lines & Lot sof Thanks Stamp Sets; Mossy Meadow, Sahara Sand & Tempting Turquoise Inks; Sahara Sand & Whisper White CS; Fun Fall Framelits; Linen Thread.

Hey, hey!  The stars are out at Freshly Made Sketch #154!  I love sketches like this - where I can just play with pieces, mix and match colors, textures - they always come out SO different from each other - so exciting!
For my card, I felt like I should pay homage to the first cup of coffee I've had since the beginning of summer, and pull out Perfect Blend to play.  This sentiment really makes me laugh, because on Saturday after my Grande Mocha (thanks, Brenda!) I was revving on ALL cylinders for the whole rest of the day!  Lol, just ask my family...
Perfect Blend Stamp Set; Park Lane DSP; Whisper White, Blackberry Bliss & Calypso Coral CS; Basic Black & Old Olive Inks; 1/4" Grosgrain in Old Olive; Brights Button in Old Olive; White Baker's Twine; Corner Rounder Punch.

Oo, check out the dramatic layout at this week's Nacho Average Challenge #107!  Hm, their sketch colors are putting me in mind of something...
...Halloween!  Yes!  In just a couple weeks I get to start putting out the spooky decor, and I need some more cards for the hall table of course!  So, I finally get to use my fun new Fall Fest set - which has its own framelits, of course!  Bwa-ha-ha-ha!

Oh gosh - I am so excited about this week's Merry Monday #126 - The Words Have It, that I am beside myself!  So many awesome sentiments to feature!
In the end, I decided that this is my chance to feature a true sentiment of the season, and one that I don't use often enough in my exuberance for all the fun and trendy holiday stamps that come my way.  Simple and perfect, just like Him.
Our Daily Bread Christmas Verses Stamp Set; Season of Style DSP (retired); Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler & Whisper White CS; Basic Black & Cherry Cobbler Inks; 1/4" Old Olive Grosgrain; Ovals Collection Framelits; Occasions Piercing Template; Basic Jewel Jumbo Rhinestones.
