Love This Smile

Such a fun sketch this round at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #690!  Very fun layers!
I decided if I squinted just right, I could finally break in my new Capturing Smiles bundle, lol.  Finally, a stampin' camera with all the bells, whistles and dies to play with!  I really wanted to take it out for a spin, so I played with as many of the little detailed dies as I could - there is so much there!  Maybe too much, really, but it gives you the option to create a hyper-realistic camera if you want, for sure!  I started with the base camera, and colored it in in Smoky Slate, both shades, and Lemon Lime Twist.  I added the shutter details, then worked on the film strip and exposure plate - such fun accessories!  I found an old sheet of Basic Gray DSP for my background that set it all off beautifully - and since the camera die includes a little wrist loop hook, I tied on some white twine there, lol.  So many fun toys!

Check out our fresh focal sketch this round at As You See It #368!
So, instead of a big flower, how about a big jar of jam??  Yum!  This might be my favorite one yet, lol, look at all those berries!  I'm slowly working my way through all the little details we can choose from for this suite, and the DSP is so playful - three sizes of jars?  Yes, please!  I stamped my large jar onto some yummy berry-colored DSP - it added more depth than stamping on CS, I think.  The lid wrap is a cute country print that honors the pink, and I filled in with some flourish marks around my sentiment on my favorite tag in this die set!  Good times, lol.
I can't wait to see YOUR focal projects this round, too - meet you at the challenge!

Ooo, what a totally cute sketch at this round of SU Only #396!
I have so wanted to finally ink up this oversize sentiment from our Exploring Nature stamp set - I couldn't wait any longer!  The challenge has been finding a way to diecut it, without making it too big for a card front, lol.  I finally came up with this!  After stamping, I laid a Deckled Circle die over it, and parked where the cut would hit on the little "f" hanging down.  I then fussy cut around that part, then threaded the die underneath, so that the die was only cutting the rest of the sentiment out - and it totally worked!  I'm going to try this again on other oversize shapes, too!  Anyway, I tucked under some smaller circles from the Nature Walk DSP, threw on some Foiled Pretty Peacock Gems, and called it done!  Fun!

Good times - AAA Cards #309 is for another 1 plus 1 challenge - cool!
I knew right away I wanted to do a sheep card, lol - Woolly Friends has been missing the ink!  I set up a simple Spring background of grass and tulips, and did a soft gray lamb (stamped off TWICE!) to pop up on top - everything went so smooth with all the fill in stamps and pieces!  I opted for Lemon Lime Twist and Pretty in Pink for my Spring colors, lol.  Not sure if I've done too much from the graphic here, now that I think about it, lol.  But so cute!

Gorgeous Sunday

Check out our beautiful moody colors this round at Sunday Stamps #381!  I was so relieved when one of my teamies clued me in that these are based on the Lovely Blossoms DSP - somehow it makes it so much easier to see!
However, naturally, I didn't get that DSP, lol.  So I built my own ideas based on some sheets in the still-available Peaceful Garden DSP, which has three of the colors, too!  I only needed to add Old Olive and Petal Pink - no sweat!  Inspired by the botanical style of the inspiration colors, I pulled a couple die sets to help fill in:  my stems come from 2024's Gorgeously Made dies, and my little blossoms are built from the Apple Blossoms dies of the same year.  I've been eyeing this sweet scripty sentiment from our product-of-the-month set Fabulous Sayings since I first got it.  A little awkward to diecut, though, so I opted for a tilty layer behind it.  Worked perfectly!  A few Secret Sea Flat Pearls finished things off!
I can't wait to see YOUR take on our pretty colors - meet you at the challenge!

I'm excited to play back again at Papercraft Challenges #127 - and the theme this round is Hearts & Hugs!
I couldn't resist the idea of pulling in the "hugging bear from Valentine Kisses for this one, but I wanted it to be simpler, and NON-Valentines, lol.  My Perennial Lavender DSP pack was still out on the desk, so I pulled my favorite houndstooth sheet from that, and added the smallest Branching Out die layer for his backdrop.  He had to be hugging a heart, of course!  This hug sentiment from Banner Sayings was just TOO perfect, I had to use it!  FINALLY  I used my accompanying Three Banner Punch with it, too! A few purple Speckled Dots make a nice finish!

Oo, what an unusual sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments #482 - like a big bread oven!
I'm going to take all those lovely arches as "any shapes," naturally, lol.  So I went looking for 4 of SOMETHING i could put in those place holders and came up with the adorable bugs from the Cute As A Bug DSP pack!  I started by picking a Stylish Circle that would fit 4-square on the card front, and cut 4 in white to float my chosen bugs on - aren't they adorable?  Most of these can be cut using dies from the Sweet Bugs bundle, but some have to be fussy cut (or scan-n-cutted, lol.)  I centered this loving sentiment across the middle, and finished with some dew drops and one fancy Ladybug Epoxy Shape.  I think this came out pretty cute!

I am SUPER excited that our theme this round at As You See It #367 is PURPLE!  My favorite color!
After getting lost in my head for a while on all the fun things I could do with PURPLE, lol, I pulled out my A Rainbow of Thanks stamp set!  Three kinds of brushes, with paint strokes and bristle tips - what could go wrong?  How can I stamp all these bitty things in time?  So I got to work!  First up, mounting everything on blocks ahead of time, including putting all three brushes on one block!  Then I opened all the inks, and set all the stamps in front of their assigned color.  I dug out embellies and my Oval Punch, and started the timer!  Woo!  It actually went great!  I even had time to add a bit of coloring on the brushes with Blend Markers, and I love how it all came out!  I was shocked that my time ended at 5 minutes 55 seconds - that's pretty darn good, even for speedy me!
I can't wait to see YOUR speedy purple projects, too - meet you at the challenge!

We want to see a guy card this round at Make My Monday #272 - for any age!
I think horses could make a good guy card - what do you think?  I pulled out our gorgeous Unbridled Beauty, and made this little farm scene, which was so fun to color!  I stamped up all the landscape elements first, and colored everything with Blends Markers, then went back and added some Old Olive and Pool Party with a blending brush to fill in the hills and sky - I'm really happy with how it turned out!  Then I featured this larger horse and fussy cut him for some extra pop.  So serene!
I can't wait to see YOUR guy cards this round - meet you at the challenge!

This should be fun!  We have an "anything goes" challenge this round at Sunday Stamps #380 - but you should add some racing stripes, lol!
I decided this would be so perfect for showing off some DSP - and I spotted this bold turtle sheet right off, that was all it took!  I decided to pull out my Darling Duckling to pair it with - I almost never use this color, lol.  I fussy cut the adorable beachy turtle from the Turtle-y Cute DSP as well, along with some suitable beachy details, lol.  I love him!  I added this fun sentiment from 2019's Beach Happy, and got my racing stripes with some Crushed Curry 1/8" Ribbon.  Yay!
I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for our fun sketch - meet you at the challenge!!
