 We're in a Fall mood over at Retro Rubber #282, lol. Let's see some pumpkins, leaves or trees! I decided to go with pumpkins, and pulled out Pretty Pumpkins for a look after I put Painted Harvest away yesterday, lol. I have always loved this fancy printed pumpkin, and today I went for a trio of them! I stamped in Early Espresso, and then colored them with blends, inspired by the colors in our current Painted Patch DSP - I love this stuff so much! Rather then actually use it, though, I finally broke in the Rustic Check EF that goes with that suite, on Pool Party. With great trepidation, I decided to smudge it up a little with a little Early Espresso spot, too, to really pull out that texture. I think it actually worked out - woo! I can't wait to see YOUR Fall cards this round, too - and don't forget to make it RETRO!  We have some gorgeous harvest colors for you this round at Sunday Stamps #396! I have to admit, these colors seem just made for our new Sunflowers Fields DSP, lol, so I totally had to pull out the whole Radiant Sunflowers suite! I wanted to focus on Old Olive, Cajun Craze & Daffodil Delight, so I pulled this floral sheet that had touches of Cajun Craze, too! I stamped the pretty spray of flowers in the stamp set, and a couple extra leaves, to color with my Blends Markers, then went with this "Thinking of You" sentiment for the tag die that comes with the set, too. I think it looks pretty sweet all arranged! A few green Radiant Gems finish things off! I can't wait to see YOUR projects in our colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Oh, fabulous! Shopping Our Stash #583 is all about CHICKENS!! Now THAT is an awesome theme! For such a momentous celebration, I HAD to pull my best beloved Best of Cluck stamp set from 2006! This is one of my few remaining wood mounted sets, too - so much nostalgia! I stamped up and colored all three of the large chickens from the set, and finished each of them with white speckles with a White Gel Pen - I love doing this! I set up a sweet "soup can" background for them, too, with the sentiment popped up on a Golden Glow circle, and chicken tracks and feed scattered over the white area. Even 20 years later, these guys still make me smile! Yay! I always have something I can finally break in at NBUS #90 - woo hoo! Ah, the day has come at last when I can get some playtime with the Buon Appetito Collection from Spellbinders! I swear the first time I saw one of these dancing pastas (it was a ravioli, lol) I about spit all over my computer screen laughing! I had to have it ALL! I started with the gorgeous Al Dente embossing folder, on Darling Duckling, then I blended on some Cherry Cobbler ink from the bottom. Then it was time for my characters - I chose a bow-tie and a penne from the Pasta Friends dies, and knew I was gonna need some parmesan from Ingredients Buddies, too. A basil leaf for everyone! A little fussy, but really, great designing on the dies - the feet and arms weren't a big problem at all! Last, this hilarious sentiment from the Stay Saucy stamp set. Folks, I am smitten, lol. It was super fun to pull out 2020's Press On stamp set, and make a big block of pretty coffees to color! I used our new Tile Garden Dies for my fancy coffee square, and took my color inspiration from the ever-gorgeous Timeless Plaid DSP. I seem to be hitting the hot drinks a lot this week, even though it's still over 100 degrees here in Arizona! This was a fun one - always great to kick back and get some coloring time in! I couldn't resist brewing up two pumpkin spice lattes, complete with cinnamon stir stick, lol - I think I'll need one of these soon! I also floated everything over my favorite Fall plaid from the retired Plaid Tidings DSP pack - this sweet DSP has saved me during SO many holidays, lol - I might need to scare up another pack from somewhere, lol. Anyway, Fall is coming - think cozy thoughts! Oh gosh! CAS on Friday #341 has a tall order for us - make a ROUND card! I can do this! I didn't want to make a card so small it would fit in one of my regular greeting card envelopes, so I pulled out my trusty Envelope Punch Board, and made a 5" square one to match this 4 3/4" round base I cut with my Deckled Circles dies. This was also a great chance to use a big chunk of my least-favorite In Color, Crisp Cantaloupe, lol. I DO like it better than the first time we saw it, probably because it fits in great with the Pooh colors, lol. ANYWAY, I chose this dotty DSP for my accent sheet and the envelope, and went hunting for the stamp set to use. When I spotted this rounded shape cactus in 2021's Flowering Cactus, I decided to try this one - the Crisp Cantaloupe is also perfect for cactus flowers! All in all, I'm pretty pleased with how it came out! Oh wow, check out this gorgeous photo inspo from Time Out Challenges #320! Beautiful! While I do have a couple window frame possibilities, I started thinking about our retired Full of Life DSP. The bright rainbow colors are perfect for this inspo pic, and there are several tiled and diagonal patterns as well - let's just check, lol. OK, I DO still have a this tiled sheet - how pretty! I trimmed a strip down to fit on a simple white layer, and popped a sweet sentiment over it - love it! If only the glass block in my bathroom looked this cheery, lol. As usual, I did not resist finishing with a few tiny black dots - but still very CAS, I think! When I worked out this sketch, I remember thinking what a great one it would be for showing off papers - so that's just what I did today! I wanted to give a try with the latest product of the month, the Glow of Harvest DSP. It's kinda funky - while all the sheets are single sided, they all have a simmer over them, so pretty and lustrous, especially for Fall! Since I haven't broken in my Simply Leaves bundle yet, either, I pulled that in as well, tucking in a few of the fun leaves in coordinating colors. Pretty! I decided to break out the garden tools today, and used the dies to make a little wood-handled spade and fork set - so cute and just the right amount of wear to show that I'm a serious gardener, lol. A little leafy pot with some flowers and dewdrops shows what I'm working on, too, along with a cherry "hello" pick for visitors! I finally remembered to layer the pick to make it a bit sturdier for placement, too - wish I'd though of it sooner, lol. I also kept the woodgrain feel going with my favorite weathered white boards for the background, too. It's all so potting shed!
