Check out the lovely asymmetrical sketch at this week's In{k}spire Me #213! Fun, fun, fun! I'm going to try it with the trendy color combo over at Create With Connie & Mary #370... Oddly, I've just realized I ended up with a completely literal interpretation of this sketch - woops! I wasn't even thinking about it, I swear! I actually started with the colors, and had to just build from there with what elements I could find. After I pulled out what I had in the colors, I decided I wanted to make another scripture card, so then I found a shape that I thought would go with the quote I chose... See? It really was accidental! You're So Sweet & ODB Scripture Collection 6 Stamp Sets; Heavy Whisper White, Basic Black & Watermelon Wonder CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mini Treat Bag Thinlets; Dotted Scallop Border Trim Punch (retired.)

Oh yes - this week's color challenge at Just Add Ink #277 is SO in my wheelhouse! I think this will be the perfect color spread to go with this week's Retro Sketch #179, too - such a playful layout! So you KNEW as soon as I saw that jar on the sketch I had to run straight to the Room of Retirement and pull out Perfectly Preserved, right? No WAY I could pass up a straight line like that! It was very easy to then incorporate these fresh colors. I just, well, went a little overboard with all the toys, lol. Sometimes your little Stampin' Angel just isn't available to whisper, "OK, stop now, dear, that's enough!" Sorry... Perfectly Preserved (retired), Flower Shop & Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Sets; Pretty Petals DSP; Mint Macaron, So Saffron, Calypso Coral & Very Vanilla CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron & So Saffron Inks; Word Window, Modern Label (retired), Pansy & Banner Triple Punches; Cannery Framelits (retired); Subtles Buttons in So Saffron & Calypso Coral; Basic Jewel Pearls; Venetian Crochet Trim. OK, I really like the tidy little pile-up of layers on this week's Freshly Made Sketch #201! So, I freely admit I played a little bit with dimensions here, lol. I REALLY wanted to show off more of that lovely DSP in the background - sue me! This is such a lovely designer suite, and it pairs with a few different sets - what's not to love! I think I first used this with Into The Woods, remember? Turns out it goes great with Among the Branches, too! Among the Branches Stamp Set; Into The Woods DSP; Heavy & Regular Whisper White, Early Espresso & Soft Suede CS; Tangelo Twist & Whisper White Craft Inks; 2" Circle Punch; Woodland Textured Embossing Folder; Into The Woods Elements. What a clean and simple sketch over at Sunday Stamps #108 this week! And I have Nacho Average #156's color challenge to add in, too! I started today with the stamp set - I haven't been doing so many scripture cards lately, what's up with that? I still love our still available Banner Blessings set, too, so out it came, lol. With this color scheme I had a hard time picking one, but then I realized how many honey buttons (oo, cute phrase!) I still had from the In Color Sale-A-Bration buttons - I think I haven't used ANY! I figured they could be like my little stars - yay! Banner Blessings Stamp Set; Lullaby & Birthday Bash DSP (both retired); Heavy & Regular Whisper White, and Blackberry Bliss CS; Bermuda Bay & Blackberry Bliss Inks; Blackberry Bliss Striped Satin Ribbon; Sale-A-Bration In Color Buttons in Hello Honey; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. I'm not sure why exactly, but those buttons make me want to pair this sketch with Can You Case It's #83 Back To School Theme challenge. What a great chance to break out the yummy Schoolhouse DSP! I can't resist pairing it with an encouraging little setup from Barnyard Babies, too, lol. I've been wanting to use that goat's "Meeeh..." since I first saw this set! Sigh, I MISS elementary school days... Sadly friends, we have arrived at our final MPC#0815 - Share A Cup - I'm so sorry to be done with this one! I think we might just have to sneak it in here and there, lol... I know I plan to! Today I really wanted to feature the little plantings in the cups - inspired by a quick trip by my local A&J's Fine Grocery, of course. Their floral department is SO posh! And this being Arizona, they of course have quite the selection of succulents in teacups, lol. It's like they sponsored this Paper Pumpkin, I swear! I hope you've enjoyed this month's challenges as much as we did - we can't wait to see you sharing! Thanks A Latte Paper Pumpkin; plus, Cherry on Top DSP; Basic Gray, Tangelo Twist & Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Cucumber Crush Inks; 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Circle Punches; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. This week's sketch at Create With Connie & Mary #369 is such a cool layout - lots of whimsy! I think it's a perfect sketch to showcase SU-per Challenge's #100 party theme, too! I had to pull out my yummy Cherry on Top DSP stack to play with for this one - party theme, you know. Celebrate Today is such a natural with this paper! And it's so fun to go crazy with the brights with it, too! This is the combo that made me love Cucumber Crush after all, lol... Celebrate Today Stamp Set; Cherry on Top DSP; Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay & Whisper White CS; Cucumber Crush, Crushed Curry, Watermelon Wonder & Bermuda Bay Inks; Balloon Framelits; Lucky Stars Embossing Folder; Banner & Banner Triple Punches; Basic Jewel Rhinestones. Congrats, ladies - you do an amazing job! Make sure you visit the site to check out the awesome sponsors they have for their anniversary, and the as-usual-over-the-top-amazing samples the "Sponsor Team" has prepared! I'm tossing in Just Add Ink #276 (Guy cards!) and In{k}spire Me #212 (manly colors!) to help me out! So I of course went straight to Guy Greetings for this one! I continue to be fascinated by these cute little wingtips - but my hubby would only be allowed to wear them on the golf course, lol... I have a little tip about how I constructed this pattern and got it so centered: I STARTED in the middle, duh! Starting in the middle allowed me to build the pattern out on either side, resulting in a centered finish - yay! Guy Greetings & Hardwood Stamp Sets; Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla & Tip Top Taupe CS; Soft Sky, Pacific Point & Tip Top Taupe Inks; Chocolate Chip Taffeta (retired); Large Oval Punch; Subtles Candy Dots in Soft Sky. I think I'll pull in the colors from Stamps, Ink, Paper #10's inspiration picture, too... I started out not being quite sure where this one was going, but I got stuck on a little woo-hoo, lol. Folks close to me know this is probably one of my most frequently used replies when texting, along with "Yay!"! I guess I'm a pretty rah-rah texter... It was funny to stamp it over and over again here... I tacked on the congrats and a star to polish it off. Now that I'm finished, I realize that this is also pretty much my local high school's color scheme, too. That'll be handy! Bravo & Be the Star Stamp Sets; Sahara Sand, Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler & Whisper White CS; Basic Gray, Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler & Smoky Slate Inks; Stars Framelits; Banner Triple Punch; Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. This week's Merry Monday #169 is making me hungry! I fiddled around a bit and finally settled on going back to our awesome Wondrous Wreath set - so easy to showcase different greens on this one, lol. My new touch is floating it over a cute cabin window, that I dressed up with just a touch of extra detail. A simple bold design gets me every time!
