When I saw these adorable punch art Uncle Sams, I knew they'd be the perfect class gift for our July 4 extravaganza! Usually punch art isn't my thing, but these are just so clever! They are CASE'd from the fabulous Marie Shaughnessy of Marie Stamps - her version has the perfect details! I added a pin back with hot glue so we can WEAR our art! Woo! Here is tonight's class sheet, and of course, our yummy patriotic fruit pizza came from Our Best Bites!

Here's a quick picture of my class gift for the ladies - isn't this an amazing use of the Petite Purses die? I knew I had to make them for our summer celebration, as soon as I saw it on Lynda Lee's blog! She is taking this die to amazing places! And a cute little market basket wouldn't be complete without a sweet bundle of market flowers, either! They add just the right touch (and hide the mini York Peppermint Patty treat very elegantly!) And here are the instructions from the class for your notes! (Glad the Coconut Turnovers were a hit - this recipe came from Our Best Bites - enjoy!) I don't think Todd reads my blog either! So I get to post this one, too! Todd's a big golfer, and we're finally at the time of year when we don't hang out much outside, except poolside. So I thought I'd do him a golf-themed Father's Day card this year. And because he's an engineer, I like his cards to be "action" cards! This one has a spinner - the golf ball rolls back and forth revealing the "Happy Father's Day" through the window. Fun stuff! The golf ball is made by running a 1" punched circle through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder - saw that trick somewhere - brilliant! Hopefully he won't think card is all gray - he's red/green color blind, but I can't think golf without thinking green! Garden Green, Early Espresso, Wild Wasabi & Very Vanilla CS; The Back Nine (retired), Fore! (retired), Inspired By Nature (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes & Lovely Little Labels stamp sets; Aqua Painter; Early Espresso satin ribbon. OK, as promised, here's our Independence Day bonus class! This class features the fun "Let Freedom Ring!" wreath, with the words done in silver glitter paper (what exactly was I saving that for again?) and the "Oh, say can you see..." shadow box insert, with cute little firecracker bundles. I think this is enough for one class, there's a fair few little bits and pieces to work with! Anyone interested, I'm thinking this class could be Thursday, June 28, 630 pm, and will cost just a bit more - $25 will include your wreath base as well. Make sure to RSVP as soon as you can if you'd like to come, I'll want to prep as much as I can for you! (But not TOO much!) This has been so much fun putting together! I think the flag is the perfect addition to our shadow box collections! Here's the final for next week's class - I think you'll love it! I tried to make the cards relatively simple, to leave time for all those flower petals on the shadow box - if you have your own bone folder, you should definitely bring it along! So, class is Thursday, June 21, 630 pm - make sure you RSVP, so I can prep your shadow box pieces for you! I expect to also offer a bonus July 4th class for June 28, of a shadow box insert and a wreath I think you'll love! Pics tomorrow! Well, it's that time again - Father's Day is upon us! Here's to the men who take care of us, and all our toys! This card is for my Dad (who DOESN'T read my blog!) I actually got this background stamp, Tool Shed, with him in mind, he's very handy! Nice and not too frilly either, I was very restrained, I think... I should really use my Build-A-Brad more, fun! Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake & Not Quite Navy CS; Tool Shed, All Holidays & Tiny Tags stamp sets; Build-A-Brad kit; Early Espresso ribbon & inks. I can't believe how hard it is for me to stay focused now that school is out - I have so much loafing to catch up on! I have finally started getting ready for June class - it should be the evening Thursday June 21, but I can be more flexible now that summer is finally here... Let me know your availability! Here is our summer shadow box insert project - fun stuff! I can't wait to show you these techniques! Along with this and a flip card, we'll be doing one other card, using some more new stamps from the new catalog, which is now officially open for ordering! Woo hoo! |
