 What a sweet sketch this round at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #666 - very Spring! However, you know me, I'm totally an "any shape" kind of gal, lol, so lets mix this up a little! I decided I really wanted to let the seagulls out for a bit again - they were by far my favorite SAB item this year! And look how cool they look over this pebbled sheet from Otterly Adorable - looks like Coney Island to me! To give them a little more presence, I decided to stamp them on circles rather than fussy cut, and I tried to place them in an arc, with a couple french fry cartons, too, lol. I think they came out pretty spiffy!  Oo, here's a fun sketch from Sketch Saturday #770 - I love tilty panels! The landscape orientation was a little tricky for me on this one - with such a narrow panel, I felt like I needed to tilt the Granny Apple OFF the Pecan Pie to get the angle I wanted, lol. I really wanted to use more of my Fruit Salad DSP, too, and when I went looking for my "Cute Fruit" set to use with it, I spotted this one, Hello Kiwi! A quick check to make sure a kiwi showed on the DSP I chose, and I went to town! It would also be super cute with the actual kiwi sheet - but I used all mine in a class, lol. Finishing with a few Matte Black Dots keep the kiwi going, I think! To get me started I pulled a nice "wave" sheet from the Bright & Beautiful DSP pack, and went to town on sand dollars, starfish, and a little seaweed for decoration, lol. I love these calm ocean colors! I finished with a few Opal Rounds, too - just the right amount of shimmer! Salt water heals all wounds, right? Oh gosh, I totally can't resist this one! Festive Friday #163 is celebrating Teddy Bear Picnic Day! I had a fun time going back through all my bear sets - so many cuties, even two cute bear butts, lol! I finally settled on Bear Hugs from 2010 - especially after I saw the hug sentiment! I did up a quick background in Crushed Curry, embossed with my Hive EF - perfect for a bear!~ Then I stamped up the larger bear in Early Espresso, and smudged him all over with a Blender Pen - love to do that with furry critters! I added some twine, and some grass from my Fluffiest Friends Dies, just to pick up some more Inspo List points - I think he's super cute! Wow, there's a super cute sketch this round at AAA Cards #268! I had to really dig to tackle this one, lol. I started by looking through my current stamp sets, hunting for a "shape" I could use for the background. Not many! I finally hit on Bee My Valentine - I could use the bee body! And that's just what I did. I did a fun stamped-off collage in pale colors, turning the shape vertical a bit, too. Then I built a full-strength bee and used my Bee Builder Punch to assemble him! The simple sentiment seemed just right to me, and I finished with my last three tiny Daffodil hearts - love how this came out! I think I broke into the honey sheets, but that was about it, lol. So today's sketch was perfect for showing off TWO patterns - yes! I chose the pretty floral Sweet Sorbet for the background, then this sheet of happy but smaller bees for my tilty panel - perfect! I added a stamped bee, too, just because it's so easy with the builder punch - love it! I can't wait to see your "askew" cards for us this round - meet you at the challenge! My stamp bundle today is called Unbounded Love, and the gorgeous tags and shapes dies that go with it is totally amazing. You can only see a little bit of the lovely scalloped oval behind my fronds, but the smallest stitched circle is front and center at least! And all of it is styled with the gorgeous Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP pack, which I won during Prize Patrol at On Stage in Houston. Besides a few pretty sheets of our usual reversible DSP, there are several diecut sheets of fun frames and flowers, natch! Love these colors so much! How do you like our new In Color, Peach Pie?? I pulled my hoarded Hues of Happiness DSP to nab this Melon Mambo collection, and popped up this simple heart with a sentiment from our SAB set Heartfelt Hellos - definitely how I feel about my hubby - love him more each day!
