Such a super theme at this round of The Male Room #201 - "universe!" So, I pretty much knew instantly that I'd be pulling my Space Western set from Kindred Stamps for this one - hopefully Firefly and Serenity fans can recognize my characters Wash and Zoe on my card, lol. The actual line is "No power in the 'verse can stop me!" by River Tam, who is a total bada$$ in this episode, but we fans like this line a lot, lol, and it appears in a few more places, too. I thought it would be a good match for the Serenity's power couple, lol. Anyway, my space cowboys look awesome over this retired sheet of Stargazing DSP, with the Serenity flying in overhead as well. It took SO many Blends Markers to get the colors right But I had to represent my inner geek in this card! Kindred Stamps Space Western Stamp Set; Stargazing DSP (retired); Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Blueberry Bushel Inks; Pool Party, Peach Pie, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Nude, Copper Clay/Seaside Spray/Wild Wheat/Soft Succulent (all retired), Crumb Cake, SU100, SU200, SU500 & SU600 Blends Markers; #TMR201. We have a very classic sketch this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #464 to play with! When I went hunting for a likely set for this one, I kept in mind that it would need a good DSP to set off all those layers, too - and when I spotted this "cute" long sentiment in Otterly Amazing, I knew I had found my prize, lol. I took my time setting up all my layers - I wanted everything to have a tiny Pretty Peacock border! I also fussy cut this playful pair of otters from another sheet - just right for that sentiment! I'm so happy with how this one came out - otters always remind me of our Labradors - I always called our Sophie my otter-dog, lol. So many happy memories! Otterly Amazing Stamp Set; Otterly Adorable DSP; Basic White & Pretty Peacock CS; Pretty Peacock Ink; Stylish Shapes Dies; Riverside Irregular Pearls; #HSS464. Man Cards 2025 June 14 at 2 pm! Now is our chance to stock up on some great guy cards - sometimes so hard to craft for! This class will feature 6 all-occasion cards and envelopes for those men in our lives! Class includes all supplies needed (bring your own snips and favorite adhesive!) snack, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is ON for Saturday, June 14 at 2 pm! RSVP today to save your spot! EEE! You KNOW I had to play this one - my birthday is on May 4th!! I love that Time Out Challenge #288 is all about Star Wars Day!! So, I got a little saucy with this one, lol. To go with my Kindred Stamps Galactic Sidekicks set, I couldn't resist this Sexy Space sentiment collection, too, lol. I had to give Yoda a wing-man for this one, too - I've been wanting to color up a Chewbacca since I got this set! I set them in the mountains of Tatooine (which totally did NOT set off my spell-checker, how about that) and had fun with the coloring. And shhh, on the inside it says, "don't be afraid to use the force on me," lol - maybe this could be next year's anniversary card, since we're such Star Wars nerds here, lol. Kindred Stamps Galactic Sidekicks & Sexy Space Stamp Sets; O Holy Night DSP (retired); Basic White, Basic Gray & Smoky Slate CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mossy Meadow, SU200, Color Lifter, Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Basic Black & Pretty in Pink Blends Markers; Scenic Adventure Dies; Adhesive-Backed Stars (retired); #TOC288. I LOVE the theme at this round of Shopping Our Stash #546 - "outta' this world!" I'm steppin' out a little again, lol, and pulling in another Kindred Stamps set for this one! Today I finally got to play with Space Western, a take on the show Firefly - which we totally loved here! The set has a little Serenity ship in it (besides all the characters except for the doctor??) so that's what I went with - so fun to color and fussy cut! I thought it would look great over this starry background from my O Holy Night DSP - I really love the brushstrokes on this sheet, and I added a few extra stars, too! So fun! Definitely outta' this world, too! Kindred Stamps Space Western Stamp Set; O Holy Night DSP; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Misty Moonlight Inks; Smoky Slate, Pool Party & Peach Pie Blends Markers; Adhesive-Backed Stars; #SOS546. What a sweet sketch this round at Try a Sketch on Tuesday #666 - very Spring! However, you know me, I'm totally an "any shape" kind of gal, lol, so lets mix this up a little! I decided I really wanted to let the seagulls out for a bit again - they were by far my favorite SAB item this year! And look how cool they look over this pebbled sheet from Otterly Adorable - looks like Coney Island to me! To give them a little more presence, I decided to stamp them on circles rather than fussy cut, and I tried to place them in an arc, with a couple french fry cartons, too, lol. I think they came out pretty spiffy! Friendly Seagulls (retired); Otterly Adorable DSP; Basic White & Calypso Coral CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight, Gray Granite, Calypso Coral & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; 1 3/4", 1 1/2" & 7/8" Circle Punches; Iridescent Pastel Gems in Calypso Coral; #TSOT666. Pumpkin Club March 29! Did you receive your March Paper Pumpkin kit yet? It's SO buzz-worthy! Check out the video HERE! I hope you can join us for our next Pumpkin Club, Saturday, March 29, at NOON (note the special time - Cubs are in town tonight!) - RSVP to let me know you are attending, and we will save you a seat at the table! Club is free for my subscribers, and includes any extra supplies you might need, plus drinks and snacks! I will also have a few extra spots available for club for $10, even if you are not a subscriber - come see what we're up to - full kit not needed, I'll supply everything you need for the projects! Just bring your own snips and basic adhesive! Remember to subscribe here if you haven't already - sign up by April 10 and you can join us in time for next month! Oo, here's a fun sketch from Sketch Saturday #770 - I love tilty panels! The landscape orientation was a little tricky for me on this one - with such a narrow panel, I felt like I needed to tilt the Granny Apple OFF the Pecan Pie to get the angle I wanted, lol. I really wanted to use more of my Fruit Salad DSP, too, and when I went looking for my "Cute Fruit" set to use with it, I spotted this one, Hello Kiwi! A quick check to make sure a kiwi showed on the DSP I chose, and I went to town! It would also be super cute with the actual kiwi sheet - but I used all mine in a class, lol. Finishing with a few Matte Black Dots keep the kiwi going, I think! Hello Kiwi Stamp Set (retired 2024); Fruit Salad DSP; Basic White, Pecan Pie & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Granny Apple Green Inks; Matte Black Dots; #SS770. We're all about the love this round at Make My Monday #245! I have to admit, I'm getting a little full-up already on all the pink and red, lol, so I decided to pull out my hungry friends here, Friendly Seagulls! I set them up with an ocean background, and gave them some sandy hearts to stand around on - the only red here is on those fry boxes! Had a fun time coloring and fussy cutting! I can't wait to see YOUR love notes, too - meet you at the challenge! Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set; Sand & Sea DSP (retired); Basic White & Sahara Sand (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Real Red & Pecan Pie Blends Markers; Sweet & Sassy Dies (retired); Flowers For Every Season Twine (retired); #MMM245. Yum! We want to see your food and/or drink this round at Make My Monday #239! I couldn't resist pulling in my new Perfect Pairs set again for this one - what's better than milk and cookies? I really love this simple set - such cute images, easy to fussy cut, and the little sentiments are just right, lol. Anyway, I stamped a couple cookies and my milk carton, and colored everything up with Blends for some serious cuteness! A little Pool Party twine, a few Pool Party Enamel Hearts, and I am all set! I hope you feel like a snack and come join us! Meet you at the challenge! Perfect Pairs Stamp Set; Basic White, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake CS; Early Espresso Ink; Crumb Cake, Mocha, Pool Party & Cherry Cobbler Blends Markers; Birchwood EF; Pool Party Twine; Pool Party Enamel Hearts; #MMM239. Oh so fun! I'm loving this round's theme at Time Out Challenge #268 - "on vacation!" I can't help but think of the seaside when I think vacation these days - Seaside Wishes to be exact, lol! To get me started I pulled a nice "wave" sheet from the Bright & Beautiful DSP pack, and went to town on sand dollars, starfish, and a little seaweed for decoration, lol. I love these calm ocean colors! I finished with a few Opal Rounds, too - just the right amount of shimmer! Salt water heals all wounds, right? Seaside Wishes Stamp Set; Bright & Beautiful DSP; Basic White & Basic Beige CS; Crumb Cake & Calypso Coral Inks; Seaside Wishes & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Opal Rounds (retired); #TOC268. Oh gosh, I totally can't resist this one! Festive Friday #163 is celebrating Teddy Bear Picnic Day! I had a fun time going back through all my bear sets - so many cuties, even two cute bear butts, lol! I finally settled on Bear Hugs from 2010 - especially after I saw the hug sentiment! I did up a quick background in Crushed Curry, embossed with my Hive EF - perfect for a bear!~ Then I stamped up the larger bear in Early Espresso, and smudged him all over with a Blender Pen - love to do that with furry critters! I added some twine, and some grass from my Fluffiest Friends Dies, just to pick up some more Inspo List points - I think he's super cute! Bear Hugs Stamp Set (retired 2010); Basic White, Early Espresso, Lemon Lime Twist & Crushed Curry CS; Early Espresso Ink; Blender Pen; Bear Hugs (retired) & Fluffiest Friends Dies; Hive EF (retired); Linen Thread; Adhesive Flowers; #FF0163. |
