Oh wow, check out this gorgeous skyscape inspiration picture at Time Out Challenge #312! This gorgeous color blend made me think of our old Enjoy The Journey DSP from 2023 - there were a few scenery sheets set against beautiful colorscapes, but I also wanted to add my own silhouette element, too. A quick browse and I spotted one of my earliest photopolymer sets from 2014 - Calling All Heroes! It has this perfect city skyline, so you can make some superheroes flying overhead - that I stamped in Secret Sea and then fussy cut. Secret Sea is fast becoming my new Black, I tell you! Anyway, I chose a landscape that would let me have a tiny bit of mountain and the moon peeking out behind the buildings - kinda like Salt Lake City, lol. For the sentiment, I went with this "star" quote from 2023's Stepping Stones stamp set. I finished with my own Iridescent Rhinestone stars! Calling All Heroes (retired 2014) & Stepping Stones (retired 2023) Stamp Sets; Enjoy The Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Secret Sea CS; Secret Sea Ink; Iridescent Rhinestones; #TOC312. Well, who knew?? We're celebrating Global Champagne Day with Festive Friday #195 this round!! I started this one by setting off to search for a good "congrats" sentiment - and quickly spotted this gorgeous scripty one in the Wonderful Thoughts bundle! Perfect! In honor of champagne, I knew I wanted to do gold details, and I went to my Season of Elegance DSP scrap pack and found a whole bunch of these little strips - must be left over from classes! I decided to burn through a bunch of them and made this stacked torn-edge background. After some hemming and hawing, I heat-embossed my sentiment in Gold, and die-cut it out, but it got a little lost on that background, so I pulled the floral die and did this stem in Gold Foil to put behind it, as well as some tousled gold thread! A few Gold Sequins finishes it off! Looks pretty elegant! Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set & Dies; Season of Elegance DSP; Very Vanilla & Gold Foil CE; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Gold Thread; Loose Gold Sequins; #FF0195. Pumpkin Club October 25! A very cute landscape sketch for us this week at AAA Cards #300 - and they use my favorite word "any" twice! I knew right away that I wanted to try "stamping" that cool horizontal with an inked up block - I think it came out pretty cool! Yes, the ink did sort of micro-bead, and I needed to stamp off first to tame the saturation, but I think I like the effect! Since I decided to use my Scenic Adventure stamp set, I went with a cool Soft Sea Foam to go behind my trees. I did a careful trio in black, then added the sentiment over the background swath, also in black. I love that two-step sentiment! I did finish with some small Shades of Green Hexagons, but they match so well, you can barely see them! Scenic Adventure Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Soft Sea Foam & Memento Tuxedo Black; Shades of Green Hexagons; #AAA300. Oh, a very fun theme at this round of CAS on Friday #314 - "animal!" I say we lay on some pork today, lol - Party Piggy hasn't been out in a bit! I decided to keep it all trim and ship-shape, and do a little pig jumping in from the corner of a Deckled Rectangle - white-on-white layering for extra drama! After I colored him in, I couldn't resist popping up his sentiment on a simple strip of Pretty In Pink to go with, as well. And in true Heather-fashion, I had to pop on a few Pretty in Pink Resin Dots, too - I couldn't resist! Party Piggy Stamp Set; Pretty in Pink DSP; Basic White & Pretty in Pink CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pretty in Pink & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Deckled Rectangles Dies; Pretty in Pink Resin Dots; #CASOF314. We want to see your masculine cards this round at Make My Monday #257! So, still playing with other people's toys (and stamp sets, lol) I came across the Around It All Stamp set - check out that big wonky congrats! This is the stamp set that goes with the Around It All Dies - SO many wonky circles! It doesn't happen often, but I only got the dies in this bundle, so it was a little treat to play with the stamp set today! I tried to up the manliness by floating everything over a Timeless Plaid DSP sheet, and I did slip in some glittery ribbon, but very tasteful, right? I added a couple smaller wonky circles, that I embossed with the Basics 2 EF - I like the deboss side just as much! A few matte gold sequins add little points of light! I can't wait to see what YOU come up with for the guys in your life - meet you at the challenge! Around It All Stamp Set & Dies; Timeless Plaid DSP; Basic White, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon & Crumb Cake CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Basics 2 EF; Mossy Meadow & Gold Trim; Gold Pastel Sequins; #MMM257. I'm really liking the anything goes challenge at AAA Cards #293 - with an optional twist of a sentiment focus! I decided I wanted to do something peek-a-boo, lol - cut out some letters to show a pretty background behind - such an easy way to make a sentiment focus! I went to hunt through my alphabet dies, but then I came across my old Circle Card dies - and it had this little "yay!" I couldn't resist, so I paired it with 2022's Amazing Phrasing, an old Sale-A-Bration set, and I was smitten! To heighten the excitement, I did it over this starry sheet from the Bright & Beautiful DSP pack - I think I managed to keep it pretty CAS, too! Amazing Phrasing Stamp Set (retired 2022); Bright & Beautiful DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black; Lemon Lolly Dots; #AAA293. Oo, a super fun combo at In{k}spire Me #564 this round - what fun colors to go with that sketch! With the circle elements, I knew I wanted to use our new Encircled With Love set - I love a good punch set! I did up my background in all the colors, and found some DSP scraps to mix it up with, too! A big Blackberry Bliss sentiment takes center stage! I finished with a few Peach Pie Dappled Dots just because I can't resist embellishments, of course, lol. So quick and fun! Encircled With Love Stamp Set; Blackberry Bliss & Peach Pie DSP (retired); Basic White, Peach Pie & Flirty Flamingo CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Basics 2 EF; 2 1/2" and 1 7/8" Circle Punches; Dappled Dots; #IMC564. So glad to play again this month at NBUS #74! So many fun new toys! So this pretty Scenic Adventures bundle has been burning a hole on my desk for a couple few weeks now - I was so smitten with the super dramatic scenery dies for this one! And look how cool it looks over our Everyday Skies DSP - a match made in Heaven! I built my scenic layers from the bottom up, with a meadow and a tree line, then the majestic mountains behind all that. At the last second, I placed some big fir trees in the foreground, too. It felt so risky stamping my sentiment directly onto the DSP, but I'm super happy with it! So fun! And there's even more landscaping dies to play with, too! Scenic Adventures Stamp Set & Dies; Everyday Skies DSP; Basic White, Balmy Blue, Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray & Old Olive CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Holographic Resin Dots; #NBUS74. Critter Class 2025! Yay! It's finally time for my favorite class of the year - critters! We have SO many new little friends, I can't wait to give them the love they deserve! This class will include 6 cards, with envelopes, for all occasions! You'll get all the supplies needed (bring your own favorite adhesive and snips), snack, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, May 17 at 2 pm - RSVP now to save your spot! Hm, AAA #287 has something new - kind of like a simplified tic-tac-toe! We are to start with the center prompt, and then add an outer bubble (or two?) Wild!! Starting with the silhouette prompt, I remembered the great ones in our Greatest Journey bundle, AND that set went with this ever-fabulous Enjoy The Journey DSP - all about landscapes! Perfect! With that settled, I went to work! I decided I wanted to do the cool BMX biker for my silhouette - so dramatic, and I went with the Coastal Cabana mountain scene for my DSP choice. I came up with this half-sies design, and added the sentiment above the biker. A tiny Black border for my layers and three tiny Black Matte Dots finishes things off - hope I'm CAS enough! Greatest Journey Stamp Set (retired 2023); Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Greatest Journey Dies; Matte Black Dots; #AAA287. New Catty Preview Class April 12 at 2 pm! Come get a little sneaky peek at the new 2025-26 Annual Catalog, where we will make 6 cards with envelopes, all from the new Catty! (You'll also get your own print copy!) We'll have a little bit of everything - new stamp sets, dies, embellies, AND the new In Colors! Be there or be sad! I will provide everything you need for all the projects (bring your own fave snips and adhesive!), plus snacks, drinks, and a little gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is ON for Saturday, April 12, at 2 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! We have a brand new inspo list from Festive Friday #176 - for National Wedding Month! So, once I got a peek at that list, I admit straight out that I got a little carried away, lol. It was "tin cans" that did it, I'm afraid, because I immediately thought about the tin can on a stick image from my old Under the Stars set from 2008 - it has such great camping images! All thoughts of a wedding card went right out the window! If I was going to do the can, then I had to have the guilty-looking little raccoon, too, lol. I do have the brand new Adventure Together bundle, so I snagged the little firepit from there, as well as half my sentiment! The "congrats" is actually from our also-new Bright Borders. I'm thinking of this as retirement card, or maybe a "congrats on your new camper" card, lol. I also built my little scene on a z-fold card - so fun! Anyway, I hit tin can, fancy fold, pearls, metallics (I colored the fire pit silver, lol) and congrats. I'm adding the laughs, too, lol... Under the Stars (retired 2008), Adventure Together & Bright Borders Stamp Sets; Enjoy the Journey DSP (retired); Basic White & Garden Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Garden Green Inks; Smoky Slate, Pecan Pie, Bermuda Bay (retired) & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Cricut Silver Metallic Marker; Adventure Together Dies; Festive Pearls in Green; #FF0176.
