Here's Part 2 of the Simply Sent Three Thoughts Grab Bag items I had to play with - I miss Purely Pomegranate so much! Almost as much as Kiwi Kiss! The adhesive elements were so perfect, I again CAS'ed straight from the Spring Summer 2008 catalog for these... Fun, fun, fun! Purely Pomegranate Inks and CS, Afterthoughts stamp set

The next Grab Bag set comes from the card stock and self-adhesive diecuts from the Simply Sent Three Thoughts set. CAS-ed these straight from the Spring-Summer 2008 catalog, only I used sentiments from the hostess set Afterthoughts. It worked out well: five sentiments, five cards! I decorated the envelopes with self-adhesive pieces left over. It was interesting giving everything dimension without the On Board pieces the kit originally came with! Mellow Moss CS, Purely Pomegranate Ink, Afterthoughts stamp set. Here's the other half of the Simply Sent Sending Happy Thoughts Grab Bag - this one in the Old Olive cs! Another cute and quick card set, also CAS'ed from the same Spring-Summer 2008 catalog, though I stamped mixed sentiments on the insides. Slowly making a dent in my goodies! Sweet Summer and Swirls & Curls Verses, stamp sets, adhesive rhinestone accents, Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain ribbon. Yet another grab-bag card set! I'll make two sets with this one - the grab-bag item was the cards, envelopes and various cardstock pieces included with the Simply Sent Sending Happy Thoughts card set. There were some mini brads in there, too. I think this Simply Sent kit has been around for a while, but I CAS'ed this card from the Spring-Summer 2008 catalog. Mixed in some old and new stamp sets, and revived my Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain, and here we are! Mission accomplished! Fabulous Flowers, Swirls & Curls Verses stamp sets, Riding Hood Red striped grosgrain Here's yet another installation of the Great Grab Bag adventures! This card set evolved from the inclusion of a single sheet of adhesive card elements from the Handmade Holiday Simply Sent Card Set. I CAS-ed a couple of the examples from the Fall-Winter 2008 Catalog, and combined additional sentiments and images from a few other of my favorite Christmas sets. Building up quite the collection of card sets to give away now! Handmade Holiday Card Adhesive Elements, Mellow Moss, Ruby Red and Kraft inks and card stocks, Welcome Christmas and Four the Holidays stamp sets. Happy Mother's Day! Here's my card for my own Mom, CAS-ed from Split Coast. I'll get to give it to her later today - hubby is making us both brunch (with mimosas, of course!) and has The King's Speech for us to watch! What a perfect Mother's Day! Mom, Mimosas and Colin Firth! Woo! 5th Avenue Floral and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Little Leaves Sizzlit, Manhattan Flower embossing folder. Here's the latest installment of my Grab Bag creations - this one evolved from a single sheet of adhesive die-cuts, that were originally part of the Flower Power Simply Sent Card Elements. Such fun colors! I CAS-ed a couple from the sample cards shown in the Fall-Winter 2008 catalog, and then expanded from there to make a 5-card set. It's so funny to go through these bits and pieces from the grab bags, and realize how much I already have that will coordinate with these elements! I really am enjoying this process! Here's a pretty fuzzy picture of a tray of cupcakes I made for our school's dessert buffet to wind down appreciation week for our wonderful teachers! I split a ream with my upline long ago of this giant 12" x 18" plain white cardstock, to make boxes with, I was thinking. Still working my way through that stack! Here, I made a single sheet into a tray for cupcakes! Went around the box sides with my Dilly-Dally Friends jumbo wheel, and then went back and picked out some details to color with markers. Cupcake picks are all made from whatever punch shapes I could find that I thought might fit... It was a fun project! A Little Somethin', Say It With Scallops, Punch Bunch, and Sweetheart stamp sets, Dilly-Dally Friends Here's my next grab bag creation - this one evolved from a single sheet of the DSP included in the Simply Sent Rock Star card kit, which I used as an accent on these 5 cards, and dressed up with some ribbon, punched stars and some adhesive rhinestones. You can see that I again did an assortment of sentiments, I keep thinking that I'm trying to make a nice emergency set of cards for someone's glove box! Still not making much of a dent in my grab bag largesse - still a long way to go! So here are the first two card set samples from my Grab Bag adventures. These cards evolved from the ribbons seen on these cards, the rest of the materials I had on hand to match. Not very much processed out of my grab bag riches, I'm sorry to say, but I was pleased with the results I was able to case from the 2009-10 Idea Book! I was able to make two sets of 5 cards each, with a mix of sentiments: thank you, happy birthday, thinking of you and hello. Fun, fun, fun! |
