I totally knew I wanted to use our wonderful reversible stamp set Shell Collecting for this one, though it has just retired, sigh. It even has the same shells as our inspo pic! I set up a background of some sandy Crumb Cake embossed with our Soft Waves folder, and then did a postage panel again to set off my shells. I really wanted to try cutting this one apart, too - I need to work on my lineup a little, I think, lol. Anyway, I did five different shells, and matched them with this lovely sentiment from Seaside Wishes - do know how to carry a theme! I finished with some Antique Pearls!  Such a cute theme this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #183 - Elves or Gnomes! Yes! I couldn't resist running straight to my Gnome For The Holidays set from 2020 for this one, lol. These guys are just the Christmas cutest! I was really in the mood to color today, too, so I set the whole scene today! I started with the stump house in the background, with its festive light strand, then I stamped my two favorite gnomes to color and fussy cut - I'm so smitten! After I was all set, I finished with a few Peppermint Dots - LOVE these things! I built this one from two of my choices, and had some fun coloring my bird in a few In Colors - I really do admire a brightly colored chicken, lol. Sometimes we need a little help with our hardest notes to write - and this class is just for that. We will create 6 sympathy or scripture cards, with envelopes, to have on hand to send a caring note when you need it! I think horses could make a good guy card - what do you think? I pulled out our gorgeous Unbridled Beauty, and made this little farm scene, which was so fun to color! I stamped up all the landscape elements first, and colored everything with Blends Markers, then went back and added some Old Olive and Pool Party with a blending brush to fill in the hills and sky - I'm really happy with how it turned out! Then I featured this larger horse and fussy cut him for some extra pop. So serene! I can't wait to see YOUR guy cards this round - meet you at the challenge! I have a few really nice sled sets, or skates, or even skis - very elegant and realistic. But, I decided, I feel like an ice-skating moose today - he clearly has the grace to conquer it all! I so love the critters in our Christmas Friends set from 2024, I was delighted to pull them out today! I had some fun coloring in my moose, and a couple trees, and then creating a little ice arena for him, too, lol. So, I've been hearing that this is the Year of the Horse for CHINESE New Year - let's pull that in so we can use the gorgeous Unbridled Beauty again! It was so close in proportion that I stamped it all on one layer, and cut it out with my Deckled Rectangles! I finished with a few clips of the strange Irregular Weave Trim - I'm trying to think of more ways to use this stuff - it doesn't like to be tied, lol. After all the time off I've taken, I hope you can make it for my last gathering of the year - a little Christmas Roundup! This free "appreciation" class will clean out a last few holiday items I have lingering, and will be a chance for us to gather and share some holiday cheer! I don't have TOO many baby sets, and I have to admit, critter ones are among my favorites, lol. Like this one - I went back to the vault and pulled Bear Hugs to make a quick and cute little bear cub card! Yes, I made my background Pool Party blue, and just for fun I used the DE-boss side with my retired Timber EF. I had two scraps remaining of my favorite retired Pool Party DSP in the folder, too, so I added a little Pool Party plaid detail, lol. Next up came my little bear cub, in my favorite way to stamp him - in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake, then smudged with a Blender Pen - gives him a rumply look! Here it is - our last Christmas Card class of the year - except maybe Pumpkin Clubs, lol - there was just too much to celebrate! We have such a fun sketch for you this round at As You See It #356! This struck me as a great sketch for showing off some sweet new DSP, even if only a little, lol. One of the sheets in the GORGEOUS Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP that most catches my eye is this one with all the evergreen elements floating over a background of Secret Sea - so striking! I snipped my three little strips to float over a panel of Old Olive, which I dressed up with some "pine-flakes" in Versamark - I love the watermark look for a softer feel! I did up a cute Tailored Tag for my sentiment, and dug out my LAST three Frosted Finishes embellies to add some sparkle. I think this came out very elegant! I can't wait to see what YOU make of our banded sketch - meet you at the challenge! I'm having an extra focus on Christmas this year! Instead of a Fall/Thanksgiving class (we'll hit that in our next Pumpkin Club!) I'm adding an extra Christmas card class so I have room to cover the many gorgeous and amazing Holiday offerings we have this year! Christmas Cards Part 2 will feature 6 cards with envelopes, all from the newly launched Holiday Mini Catalog, or the latest Online Exclusives! I got to thinking how funny it would be to add some geometric ants in the white checks, so naturally I had to follow through with 2017's Beetles & Bugs - they fit perfectly! The main theme came straight from 2018's Picnic With You, and I stuck to the picnic essentials: wine, bread and cheese, lol. Doesn't get any better!
