 Lol, Shopping Our Stash #542 is running a "one is the loneliest number" challenge this round - what a great name for a one layer card! I quickly settled on our Seaside Wishes stamp set for my stamping - I have beach on the brain as we get closer to our trip to Maui! I started with the smaller sand dollar, and knew I wanted to do some masking so I could beef up the depth a little. After I stamped it on the card front, I stamped again on a post-it note and closely fussy cut it for my mask. Next came the larger dollar, followed by the sentiment, some sandy texture and a couple tiny starfish. I love these elements! At the last second, I added a Stitched With Whimsy border - I'm so sad these fun dies are retired, though I guess it makes no never-mind, since I keep using them anyway, lol...  So cute! Cupcake Inspirations #610 would like us to add a tag this round! In furtherance of my ongoing Christmas Card readiness resolution, I went straight for the Greetings of the Season bundle, which has a HUGE set of tag dies to go with it! I used an older retired paper for this one, but one that is so festive and cheerful to me - love the sketchy look of the designs in our retired Joy of Christmas pack! I stamped the sentiment on the largest tag, and added some fancy ribbon, along with these Holly Gems & Sequins - cute and quick! So today's card features that, with a few extra single flakes, all floating over this glorious flocked sheet from our old Snowflake Specialty Vellum pack. Snowflakes in every bite, lol. RSVP now to save your spot!  Such a lovely Autumn inspiration quote for us at Time Out Challenges #273! Such a lovely quote cried out for a little effort on my part today, lol. I decided to pull out the stops with the coloring and play with my Brusho Crystal Colors again today - always good for some messy fun! I started with a whole sheet of our Watercolor Paper, put it safely on a "messy board, "and went to town with my crystals in yellow, orange and red. Then I spritzed with water to activate the colors, dried it with the heat gun, and went again. One more layer later I was happy with my results, and I made sure it was totally dry before I heat embossed my leaves in Gold and cut them out. They looked great against the Crumb Cake, and I stamped this perfect sentiment in the corner, before flicking some Cherry Cobbler ink over everything for good measure. Finito! I love it! I finally spotted this one (shh, in the for sale box, lol) in Lovely You, which retired last year! I really loved that it mixed the fonts in the sentiments - my favorite look! Since this was a "just because," I decided I wanted it to be kind of Fall-y, and since I had spotted some old Rings of Love DSP while sorting through my stash, I knew just what sheet I wanted to feature! I pulled this pretty oak leaf and acorn sheet, and even fussy cut one little spray to feature with the sentiment. I even still have some Soft Suede to go with it all! I layered up some retired oval punches, and found a little wooden accent, too. A few chocolatey sequins finishes things off! So fun! I first went shopping for some balloon images - isn't there an old one of a puppy flying away? A birthday chicken? I feel like I just did hot air balloons, so I wanted to go for party balloons this time! Then I spotted Silly Goose - YES! Now for the DSP - I could dimly remember a colorful sheet that was COVERED in party balloons - which led me to my old pack of Birthday Bonanza DSP - I think from 2020? Perfect! I set up my background, stamped up my goose on a Deckled Rectangle, and did some minimal coloring in Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay - so perfect! I even scrounged up some Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon! Woo hoo! We're kicking off the Christmas season with our first look at the Holiday Mini Catalog! I'm so excited! Such a fun layered sketch at this round's Sketch Saturday #756, and so many great spins on it by the DT! I decided I really wanted to turn this sketch - I feel like I've been on landscape a lot lately, lol, time to bring back the portrait! With these layered blocks, I knew I could feature a bold DSP, too, so straight to Flowering Zinnias I went! These are SUCH bright colors - they are sure to cheer up the gloomiest day! I started by picking a gorgeous feature zinnia to fussy cut, then added in these bright Melon Mambo panels behind. I didn't quite have enough room to add my sentiment directly to the background white, but this gave me the chance to heat emboss it over a nice Blackberry strip. I think I need a nice melon berry spritzer now, lol! I finished with some Fine Shimmer Gems for the fizz! Yum! Since I was limited by our colors, I chose a few key items that I knew would look great in them, and I left the "beach" part in black and white, lol. So fun to arrange a cozy little fun day at the beach with my pieces! I floated it all over this sunny sheet of Daffodil Delight DSP, and finished with a few Shiny Sequins - bring on the rays! Woo, we are in the dog days of summer now for sure! What can we do to beat the heat?? How about a Summer Fun card class, about all the fun stuff we do to while away the lazy summer days! I think I can say that our whole Latte Love suite is firmly in my Top 5 Favorites-of-all-SU-time, perhaps even in the #1 spot! I love the images, the sentiments and the DSP SO MUCH, and the Swirl Dots, too! For today's card, I pulled out all my Latte stuff and started the clock. Since I knew I had pre-cut pieces in my DSP, I didn't start digging through those til time had started at least, AND I included the envelope flap in my time, too - gotta be fair, lol. I even inked up some coffee splatter for my bare edge - just right! 7 minutes and 43 seconds is just right for a cuppa! I can't wait to see YOUR speedy thank yous - meet you at the challenge!
