Yet another great design theme over at The Male Room #130 - embossing!
Inspired by my Witty-Cisms stamp set finally getting here, I decided to try my hand at DOUBLE embossing, lol.  I really wanted to try out my also-new Absolutely Argyle EF - very cool!  It has amazing detail.  I also did a little dabbing with my Versamark pad and added a bit of Silver EP to see if I could really bring out some highlights.  I'm really happy with the results - it looks like a silver patina!  I finished off with this little grad sentiment from the stamp set - I think silver and blue fits a few schools around here!
Witty-Cisms Stamp Set; Whisper White, Silver Foil & Night of Navy CS; Versamark & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Night of Navy Blend Marker; Absolutely Argyle EF; Silver EP; Stitched Shapes Dies; Silver 1/8" Ribbon; #TMR130.

Now THIS is a fun theme - Inspire Create Challenge #063 is all about "movement!"
I spent a LONG time going over stamp sets and techniques for this one, lol.  A truck?  A spinner?  A slider?  Argh!  Finally I settled on this happy-go-lucky image from Beautiful You - how can you not think of movement when you see this?  And best of all, I can't even remember the last time I used this set - crazy!  I decided a pretty print dress would be fun today, and did some quick piecing, which pattern I repeated with my background layer.  I was worried it would be too simple, but I'm loving the result!
Beautiful You Stamp Set; Best Dressed DSP; Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Nude & Pool Party Blends Markers; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Purple Posy Faceted Dots; #ICC063.

Nice - The Library Challenge #53 is still in the children's section this week, bringing us Elmer, the patchwork elephant, lol.  Looks like a cute story!
I didn't think I could pull it together enough to do an actual patchwork elephant, but as soon as I saw this cover, I DID envision lots of colored elephants on the go, lol.  I knew I wanted to use my Little Elephant set, too, because he definitely has Elmer's pose down!  I was able to fit in 4 rows, and I did them all in a mixed up rainbow of our Brights collection colors.  Definitely makes me smile!
Little Elephant Stamp Set; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Poppy Parade, Pacific Point, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Pacific Point Epoxy Shape; #TLC53.

All aboard!  Our sketch this week at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #446 reminds me of a ship's portholes, or even airplane windows, lol.  So fun!
In the end, since we're also adding a "flower power" theme, I decided to go with my gorgeous Painted Poppies - pretty much any excuse to use this DSP will suffice, lol.  It's just so gorgeous!  I played with different reds and greens this time, too - interesting contrasts...
I can't wait to see YOUR projects for this sketch - head on over to the challenge!
Painted Poppies & Peaceful Moments Stamp Sets; Peaceful Poppies DSP; Whisper White, Basic Black & Granny Apple Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Stitched Shapes & Stitched So Sweetly Dies; Black Grosgrain; Gold Sequins; #TSOT446.

OK, I'm just gonna put this out there - Less Is More #413 is just MESSING with me with their "more, but still CAS" challenge this week, lol.  I think this is stampin' entrapment, ladies!
To solve this riddle, I decided to go with repeating a simple image, which was a great chance to finally ink up my By the Dock set - and there is SO much more in it than this oar!  I really had to sit on my hands for this one, but I did pull out almost every brown Blend Marker I have for it, lol.  Next time, rainbow oars!

EEE!  Green and purple and gold!  One of my fave combos!!  We are PARTYING at this week's Sunday Stamps Challenge #225!
So, I did linger over Parisian Beauty for a bit, thinking I could pull off a Mardi Gras theme, but I finally settled on Positive Thoughts - I just LOVE that fern stem, especially when I have the Nature's Thoughts Dies to do all the heavy lifting for me, lol.  I tried to stick closer to our color tones, so this is probably the darkest version of this set I've tried so far, though I couldn't help stamping off an extra fern!
So, I can't wait to see what YOU come up with this round - see you over at the challenge!
Positive Thoughts & Love What You Do Stamp Sets; Whisper White & Garden Green CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Golden Glitz Delicata, Rich Razzleberry & Garden Green Inks; So Saffron Blend Marker; Nature's Thoughts Dies; Garden Green Enamel Shapes (retired); #SSC225.

Ooo, As You See It #219 has a very cool sketch for us this week, and I can totally see why they're calling it "hive," lol.
Hm, their DT has plenty of "bee" inspiration for us, I definitely need to go off trail here...  Hm, how about Tasteful Textures?  I haven't used this one in an AGE!  I stayed pretty pared down and true to the basic sketch I think, and this stamp set always sends me straight to our lovely In Colors this year, because of the beautiful Woven Threads DSP that goes with it, even though I only used some tiny scraps here.  And when I couldn't decide which focal image to go with, I just did both!  Cool!
Tasteful Textures Stamp Set; Woven Threads DSP; Whisper White & Pretty Peacock CS; Pretty Peacock & Seaside Spray Inks; Rococo Rose Faceted Dots; #AYSI219.

Woo hoo!  The Sisterhood of Crafters is having a tea party this week, and we're all invited!
I've accumulated a few tea sets over the years - and I love them all, lol.  I even keep the sets that mention the tea in passing, like Balloon Celebration, where this sentiment came from.  Well, OK, that's a cool set in its own right, too, I guess, lol, but it's my fave tea sentiment, too!  Next up, I love my A Nice Cuppa set because it has AWESOME dies to go with - even silverware!  I tried everything out over some nice florals from our Best Dressed DSP.  Hm, I think I need a tea date soon!
A Nice Cuppa (retired 2016) & Balloon Celebration retired 2019) Stamp Sets; Best Dressed DSP; Whisper White, Old Olive, SO Saffron & Soft Sea Foam CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight & Purple Posy Inks; Stitched Shapes & Cups & Kettle (retired) Dies; Basic Jewel Rhinestones; #TSOCTeaParty.

OOooOO!  Retro Rubber #128 has a fun color and love theme challenge going for us this week!
I totally knew the love set I wanted to resurrect is my beloved Wood You Be Mine? from 2015.  This lumberjack has always made my heart go pitter-patter, lol, what can I say?  I did a pretty pink background in some Pinewood Plank emboss, then colored and fussy-cut my man in his romantic colors, lol.  He's just so cute!  So fun!
Wood You Be Mine? Stamp Set (retired 2015); Whisper White, Real Red & Blushing Bride CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Blushing Bride Inks; Real Red, Flirty Flamingo, Nude & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Pinewood Planks EF; Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine; Real Red Enamel Shape; #RRCB128.
