I have to say, it was fun to play with this set in regular Christmas colors today, finally, lol. So much fun to build up the layers and colors, and play with all the little pieces to make just the right tableau! I really can't get over how much I love these framelits - so many options!  Surprise! Here we are with one last round of My Pumpkin Challenge #0814 - Wishes & Stars! Lucky for me, this gives me one last chance to showcase another "starry" accessory from Stampin' Up! - a new border punch called Confetti Stars! How perfect is that? Like all our border punches, this one is a snap to use, with the pattern also laid on the backstop of the punch for aligning the punch as you work along the edge you are punching. And as an added bonus, you get all the cute little star confetti pieces left over, too! I foresee some starry shaker cards!  This week's Merry Monday #122 is all about the silver & gold! Now I'm going to have Burl Ives singing to me all day, lol! So, mixing these metallics with black was a pretty tall order for me. I'm still a bit worried that it looks more mournful than festive, but I tried to bling it up just a tad. It's definitely shinier in person. It was so hard not to color some rhinestones with my blendas for some targeted dazzle! Somehow, I restrained myself, lol... Wondrous Wreath is the last big stamp set I haven't used yet from the new holiday catalog. And let me tell you, those framelits that go with are sa-WEET! There's even a little alignment tab on the two wreath frames (inside and outside edges) that matches an extra tab on the stamp itself. Ingenious, I tell you! Just a quick mention - I'm away all next week at tai chi camp - try not to miss me too much, and I promise to come back refreshed and ready for more paper awesomeness! Not sure that there's connectivity, so I decided to actually take a real break! (Taking my Pumpkin with me, though, lol!) I'll try to check in! This sketch is so deceptively simple, so I really wanted to play up some bold colors for it, but not so bold that the background overpowered the focus. So, I have another stamp set I've been wanting to use SO bad, and this is the moment! Maybe not a traditional Christmas coloring, but hey, nutcrackers come in all colors, right? The cute images in this stamp set are such a snap to fussy cut, and of course, who doesn't love the mustache framelit?? I'm ridiculously excited by this stamp set! I really tweaked and played a lot with all the pieces on this one, which is silly, because this is such a cool and dramatic layout. But who knew I would dig these colors together so much?
