 I'm "tickled pink" about our new color challenge this round at Retro Rubber #199! I knew I wanted to combine white, pink and green - how to make that work? I started looking over my current shelves - full disclosure - I almost forgot to include the "retro" part of our challenge! I chose this image from our hostess set Sit, Stay, Relax and colored it in Soft Sea Foam before I remembered! Luckily, I have a wealth of retired sentiments! This beauty from 2011's Pursuit of Happiness is still one of my favorites - though they're ALL awesome, lol.  Nice - the new challenge for us this round at AAA Cards #232 is "white on white!" This is fun to do with dies! So I ended up with a no-stamp special - don't do too many of these, but I knew right away I wanted to combine my beloved Meadow Dies with my old Greetings dies from 2020. One thing I really like to do for these is layer them up - the stem and the sentiment both have 3 layers each, to give them more dimension and depth. At the last second, I decided to pop on a few of our new Milky Dots in White - love these suckers! I also used my die leftover to stencil a little stem on my envelope in Sahara Sand - no naked envelopes! Basic White CS; Sahara Sand Ink (on envelope); Meadow & Greetings (retired) Dies; Milky Dots; #AAA232.   Woo hoo! Somehow, I am managing to slip in at this round's Festive Friday #126 - a celebration of National Wear Red Day! I scanned my shelves real quick and then checked out our Inspo List. I finally settled on Sunny Splash, and I think I hit red, ribbon, clothes and rhinestones - I couldn't resist the suits, lol. I covered my whole card front with this dotty red sheet from the Sweetest Christmas pack, and then made a central panel for my three favorite suits from the set. I popped this up edged in black to set it off, and heat-embossed a cute sentiment in black below. A band of ribbon and some rhinestone accents, and I am done! Super cuteness here! Aw, a super sweet quote is our inspiration at this round's Time Out Challenge #230! One of my favorite "love" quotes is this sentiment from our still-cute Whale Done set. And since I have still carefully hoarded all the original elements of this suite (this DSP is in my top 5 faves of ALL TIME, lol) I went with some fussy cut turtles instead of the handsome whales. Did I say I love this paper? I am smitten all over again every time I spot it in my retired bin, and I even still have the sequins - love the color assortment! I set up a partial ocean floor scene for my chosen turtles to swim out of, and two-toned my sentiment at the last second. Love these guys! So of course when I saw these colors, I immediately flashed on cocktail hour at Duke's, which we usually do on arrival night! I indulge in all the foo-foo drinks just that night - umbrellas, lava glasses, coconut charms - you name it, lol. This little array of fun drinks using our Nothing's Better Than set just about does them justice! I can't wait! So excited that In{k}spire Me #497 is back with a gorgeous combo to play! I decided to pull out our lovely Framed Florets for this one - with two greens and two pinks, I think flowers are in order! Instead of the lovely oval shapes to play with in the dies, I used our Layering Circles for my big sentiment, and did the pretty swag at the bottom. I did a couple extra florets for the top, too, and finished with a few Matte Decorative Dots in Sweet Sorbet for added pops of color. I think the colors play really well together! I wanted something bold and rich, though, so that meant pansies! I have hardly used this set, and too often, I die-cut my flowers from the gorgeous DSP that came out with the set - I haven't stamped too many at all! So I had some fun doing three different blossoms to cluster around my fave sentiment in this set, too. I am WAY happier with how this came out than I thought I'd be!
