Such a cute theme this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #183 - Elves or Gnomes! Yes! I couldn't resist running straight to my Gnome For The Holidays set from 2020 for this one, lol. These guys are just the Christmas cutest! I was really in the mood to color today, too, so I set the whole scene today! I started with the stump house in the background, with its festive light strand, then I stamped my two favorite gnomes to color and fussy cut - I'm so smitten! After I was all set, I finished with a few Peppermint Dots - LOVE these things! Gnome For The Holidays Stamp Set (retired 2020); Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Azure Afternoon & Golden Glow Blends Markers; Peppermint Dots; #SCC183. We have a honey of a sketch for you this round at Sunday Stamps #383! I quickly decided to interpret this sketch as some kind of partially masked background, with a featured sentiment. And wouldn't you just know it, Snowy Delights just leapt off the shelf at me! Lol. I decided to try a new blue combo on a smaller than usual white-on-white layer. I really like how it came out! I also added some opposite corner rounding to dress it up a tiny bit, too - I totally forgot this punch lives on my desk all the time! I finished with a few Cloud Cover Flat Pearls - it's very Winter storm, I think! I can't wait to see YOUR take on this sketch - buzz on by the challenge! Snowy Delights Stamp Set, Dies & Decorative Masks; Basic White CS; Cloud Cover, Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight & Secret Sea Inks; Cloud Cover Flat Pearls; #SSC383. This will be fun! Today I'm playing at the new-to-me Merry Little Christmas Challenge #67! And it's anything Christmas goes! Yay! I love making Christmas cards Year 'round! Today I'm thinking about Christmas treats, lol, so I pulled my Homemade Treats bundle to play with! There's always something baking at Christmas at my house! I went a little overboard, stamping LOTS of details, but the dies really make it a snap - I even got the rolled out dough into this one, lol. Finishing with a few Peppermint Dots was just right! Homemade Treats Stamp Set & Dies; Real Red DSP scrap (retired); Basis White, Galvanized Metallic (retired) & Real Red CS; Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Real Red & Granny Apple Green Inks; Tasteful Labels Dies (retired); Peppermint Dots; #MLCCB67. Oops, I meant to add them earlier, but I was so stoked to find this new-to-me monthly alphabet challenge - Christmas Crafts All Year Round! This round is E and F! So, toady, "F" is for "Falala!" Lol, I had totally forgotten about this set, so glad I spotted it on the shelves of retirement! 2023's Framed & Festive was all Christmas sentiments, so I also pulled my beloved Merry & Bright set from 2024 to go with it - there's just something so happy about this light set! I picked three colors for my light bulbs, and decided to feature Blueberry Bushel for the background layer and sentiment, and finished with a few blue Solid Faceted Gems, too. Such a cutie! Framed & Festive (retired 2023) & Merry & Bright (retired 2024) Stamp Sets; Blueberry Bushel DSP; Basic White & Blueberry Bushel CS; Shaded Spruce, Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green & Poppy Parade Inks; Wide Oval Punch (retired); Solid Faceted Gems (retired); #CCAYR3126. The theme for Shopping Our Stash #568 is "golden years," and they want us to feature GOLD on our projects - fun! I decided to browse first through my retired DSP stash - and the Traditions of Christmas pack does NOT disappoint! I had totally forgotten about all the gold accents in this one, lol, so out it came! I enjoyed the embossed gold foil so much on my Chinese New Year card the other day, I decided to do THAT again, too, this time on a strip with our old Wintry 1 folder - love these pine needles! After that I heat-embossed my sentiment from the Traditional Labels bundle onto some Cherry Cobbler (sorry it doesn't photograph well at all, sigh) tucked in a Gold Hoop behind it, and finished with some tiny gold Festive Pearls - so pretty! Traditional Labels Stamp Set & Dies; Traditions of Christmas DSP (retired); Basic White, Cherry Cobbler & Gold Foil CS; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Wintry 1 EF (retired); Gold Hoop Embellishment (retired); Gold Festive Pearls (retired); #SOS568. OK, we want to see your sugar rush! The theme this round at As You See It #366 is CANDY! I found a lot of chocolate sets I could play with today, but I really wanted to do something with hard candy today - isn't that inspiration pic yummy?? I picked it out myself, lol. But the only hard candy I could find was candy canes! (Did I loan someone my Sweetest Thing bundle?? It is MIA, lol, and would have been perfect for this!) Anyway, in my opinion, one can never have too many Candy Canes, OR Christmas Cards, lol, so it all works out! I found this fun background paper in my old Sweet Stockings DSP pack, and then I did up a little tumble of classic candy canes for it. It was super quick to slip in the little leaf sprigs here and there, and then add my favorite "Merry & Bright" sentiment from the set. A few blue Traditional Sparkling Sequins finishes things off! I can't wait to see YOUR sweet projects this round - meet you at the challenge! Sweet Candy Canes Stamp Set (retired 2022); Sweet Stockings DSP; Basic White & Old Olive CS; Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive Inks; Candy Cane & Tasteful Label Dies (both retired); Traditional Sparkling Sequins; #AYSI366. RSVP today to save your spot! Class is ON for Saturday, Feb 14, at 1 pm - note the special time! Here's a fun theme from Farm Quest #80! They want to see "snow sports!" I have a few really nice sled sets, or skates, or even skis - very elegant and realistic. But, I decided, I feel like an ice-skating moose today - he clearly has the grace to conquer it all! I so love the critters in our Christmas Friends set from 2024, I was delighted to pull them out today! I had some fun coloring in my moose, and a couple trees, and then creating a little ice arena for him, too, lol. I kept things fairly simple with this pretty Pool Party background, and finished with a few Lost Lagoon Rainbow Dots. So fun! Christmas Friends Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2024); North Pole Delivery DSP; Basic White, Lost Lagoon & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Real Red, Granny Apple Green & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Stylish Shapes Dies; Lost Lagoon Rainbow Dots; #FQ80. RSVP today to save your spot! Class is ON for Saturday, Feb 14, at 1 pm - note the special time! Oo, what a dramatic landscape sketch from Try a Sketch on Tuesday #687! I immediately went digging through my landscapes stamps for this one. But then I had a thought - what about if the landscape was already printed on the background? Like in, say, my all-time favorite Enjoy the Journey paper? I could turn the sketch to give myself more room! While I was digging through the retired stash for that, though, I got totally derailed when I spotted my almost-as-beloved O Holy Night DSP pack. Sold! For my "shapes" below the landscape I could do camels or something! Then I spotted my Night in Bethlehem stamp set from 2019 - and I settled on the holy family with their donkey and a shepherd for my two "shapes." And then I realized I could emphasize the landscape by inserting this desert cityscape to the horizon line of the DSP - my mind was on fire, lol. Anyway, this card is the result of all of that, and I LOVE it! Night in Bethlehem Stamp Set (retired 2019); O Holy Night DSP (retired); Basic White & Pebbled Path (retired) CS; Versamark Ink; Silver EP; Bethlehem Edgelit Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #TSOT687. Oh, wow! Check out the adorable "Cabin in Winter" cookies at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #212! Eee! This of course calls for Woodland Scenery, along with the ever-versatile Wishing You Joy! I broke my scene up into 3 different Stylish Squares, and added a touch of Puff Paint to the snow lines - this stuff is so fun to heat emboss, lol. I even added some Loose Snowflakes for accents that look pretty similar to the ones on the cookies! This set is such a playful one for setting up little scenes - it's like rearranging the doll house when I was a kid! Woodland Scenery & Wishing You Joy Stamp Sets; North Pole Delivery DSP; Basic White & Pool Party CS; Early Espresso, Pecan Pie, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate & Pool Party Inks; Stylish Shapes Dies; Snowfall Accents Puff Paint; Loose Snowflakes; #Cookie212. Woo hoo! I get to play at another new-to-me challenge! Inspired By #369 is throwing a snowman party! This is such a darling inspo pic - I got a lot from it! First off, what adorable snowmen! And I love their bright colors against the cool blues! So that's what I went with, AND, I also just realized I haven't ever stamped the little snowman for our Jar of Joy set!! Gotta fix that right now! I went with three jars, and gave each snowman a bright scarf and hatband - such a cinch with the two (or more, lol) step stamping! I colored in all their little noses, and added a touch of Pool Party to their snow drifts - at the last second, I spotted the little snowflake pattern stamp and added that around my spiffy dudes, too. This was such fun to create! Jar of Joy Stamp Set; North Pole Delivery DSP; Basic White, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo & Azure Afternoon CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo & Azure Afternoon Inks; Pumpkin Pie & Pool Party Blends Markers; Sweet Jar Builder Punch; Sunny Day Iridescent Dots; #IB369.
