We have some cool breezy colors for you this round at Retro Rubber #243! I couldn't resist trying for a Christmas card with these - I've really been getting in to non-traditional colors for the holidays! I decided 2022's Spruced Up would be a good choice - with a quick home-made background for different colored trees, I could get in all these colors! I'm pretty happy with how this came out - and I'm so glad I decided to heat-emboss the sentiment on Gorgeous Grape to finish, too - so much whimsy! I can't wait to see what YOU make of these colors - and don't forget to make it Retro! Spruced Up Stamp Set (retired 2022); Basic White & Gorgeous Grape CS; Versamark, Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape & Balmy Blue Inks; White EP; Spruced Up Outlines Dies; Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #RRCB243. OK, Christmas troopers! Bring on the snowflakes this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #166! For today's snowflakes, I turned to last year's Wishes All Around bundle - my heart, the dies! I was most enamored of the modern tree ring stamp and die last year, and did lots of renditions of that, lol. BUT, there's also a snowflake wreath - yes! So today's card features that, with a few extra single flakes, all floating over this glorious flocked sheet from our old Snowflake Specialty Vellum pack. Snowflakes in every bite, lol. I do love the look of Fresh Freesia for Christmas, so I did a study in that with white - looks crisp and fresh! I can't wait to see YOUR snowflakes this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Wishes All Around (retired 2024) Stamp Set; Snowflake Specialty Vellum (retired); Basic White & Fresh Freesia CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Wishes All Around (retired) & Deckled Circles Dies; Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems; #SCC166. Tag Buffet Nov 9, 2 pm Now to clean up the holidays with another all new class - introducing the tag buffet! Class will feature 6 festive tag sets (of 6!), and includes all supplies needed (bring your own favorite snips and adhesive!) Class also includes snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is announced for Saturday, November 9 at 2 PM! RSVP now to save your spot! We have a beautiful wintry inspo board for you at this round's Hand Stamped Sentiments #450! I was most attracted to the upper right corner this round - look how glittery and sparkly those snowflakes are! Let's see what we can do, lol. I first went and dug out my old Penguin Playmates DSP - I remembered there was a wintry Fresh Freesia sheet in there that would be just right! Next up, the hunt for snowflakes! I finally settled on this trio from our retired Seasonal Layers dies - I love the three sizes and styles! I did a bunch of these in Silver Foil, then finished with this little sentiment from Peaceful Season, which I simply punched out with a 1 1/4" Circle Punch. Easy peasey! A few Silver Sparkle Gems add the final details! I can't wait to see what inspires YOU this round - meet you at the challenge! Peaceful Season Stamp Set; Penguin & Friends DSP (retired); Basic White & Smoky Slate CS; Blackberry Bliss Ink; Seasonal Layers Dies (retired); 1 1/4" Circle Punch; Silver Sparkle Gems; #HSS450. What a cute little sketch Inspire Create Challenge #179 has for us this round! I decided right away that I wanted to build up my images from some of the gorgeous stems I cut from the Season of Green & Gold DSP - just so stunning! The stamp set that goes with this doesn't have any sentiments, though - usually something I tend to shy away from, lol, BUT, I have plenty of new Christmas sentiment sets this year! I went with this right-sized little line from the Peaceful Season bundle - there's even a fancy little banner for it in the dies! Cherry Cobbler Berries add just the right pop of contrasting color! Yum! Peaceful Season Stamp Set; Season of Green & Gold DSP; Very Vanilla & Old Olive CS; Old Olive Ink; Peaceful Season Dies; Cherry Cobbler Berries; #ICC179. We have some lovely harvest-y colors for you this round at Sunday Stamps #347! I started by pulling some likely colors to play with, and then went on the hunt for a good set! I finally decided that all those blues would look great in pretty bottles, so out came Vintage Christmas! I did a little tableau of bottles and then added the festive flowers over them, and floated my punched one to line up with that - so fun to play with stamping and stamping off colors! At the end, I turned it into a sweet little Christmas card, lol - I really have Christmas on the brain all the time this time of year, lol... A quick double bow in White Baker's Twine with a few Solid Gems finishes things off! I can't wait to see your projects with these rich colors - meet you at the challenge! Vintage Christmas Stamp Set (retired 2022); Basic White & Boho Blue CS; Boho Blue, Orchid Oasis (retired), Cherry Cobbler & Calypso Coral Inks; Vintage Bottle Punch (retired); Blue Solid Gems; #SSC347. We want to see something "kid-friendly" this round at Make My Monday #236! Can I make a Christmas kid card? I think I can - with Christmas Friends to help me! I can't believe I haven't colored up the moose yet - as is typical, HE'S who I got the set for, lol. I knew I wanted some fun bright paper, so I pulled the dotty sheet from the Take a Bow pack, but I also wanted a moose setting! In the end, I assembled a few mountains using our old Horizon Dies - pretty cute! Next up, the dapper moose, who I decided should be whistling when I spotted the word bubble and music notes in his dies, lol. I hadn't even noticed those yet! I also went back to Merry Moose for his sentiment - everyone else has a tailored sentiment, so he needs his own, too! Fun times! I can't wait to see YOUR kid-friendly cards this round - meet you at the challenge! Christmas Friends & Merry Moose (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Real Red & Smoky Slate Blends Markers; Christmas Friends & Horizon (retired 2022) Dies; Small Oval Punch (retired); Adhesive Stars; #MMM236. RSVP now to save your spot! Oh my GOODNESS, Festive Friday #0169 is speaking my love language with their National Dessert Day Inspo List! So many fun choices, but when I think dessert this time of year (OK, let's be honest, ANY time of year, lol) I think Christmas! And the most Christmas-y dessert I have is my Frosted Gingerbread bundle that retired back in 2021! So fun to plug in some inspo list items for this one: I think I got Pink, Brown, Cream, Colored Embellishments, Desserts and Food-Related Sentiment! Yum-mo! I started with this tasty background sheet from Season of Elegance, then did up three "cookies" for the rest of the colors - three shades of gingerbread, lol. I varied my "icing," too, and finished with some Pink Peppermints from an old Paper Pumpkin kit. Time for lunch! Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set (retired 2021); Season of Elegance DSP; Very Vanilla, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Bubble Bath & Flirty Flamingo CS; Early Espresso Ink; Gingerbread (retired 2021) & Potted Succulents (retired 2023) Dies; Linen Thread; Peppermint Embellies; #FF0169. RSVP now to save your spot! So excited to launch a new Sparkles Christmas Challenge #165 - use the word "Christmas" on your card! Hopefully I can do it in our "pie" color challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments #448, too! After some SERIOUS digging, I finally landed on this hospitable moose from last year's Festive & Fun, lol. A moose is Pecan Pie colored, really, and he can wear a Peach Pie sweater! And he can serve up a Christmas pud with candied peel, in Pumpkin Pie, of course, lol. I only snuck on a TINY bit of the palest green I have for the holly leaves, shhh! I can't wait to see what you come up with for BOTH our challenges this round, I look forward to seeing you there! Festive & Fun Stamp Set (retired 2024); Pecan Pie DSP; Basic White & Pecan Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Dk & Lt Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie & Mint Macaron (retired) Blends Markers; Peach Pie Shimmer Gems; #SCC165; #HSS448. Oo, I think I'm feeling a Christmas vibe with In{k}spire Me #543's combo this round! When I thought about these colors, I remembered this dark woodgrain sheet from our Country Woods DSP pack - and look how lovely against the Garden Green! With two colors down, I added this pretty Stitched Circle in Real Red, and then went hunting for something to fill the rest of the colors. Enter these two pretty birds from the Nest of Winter DSP pack, maybe not totally exact, lol, but I think the spirit is there! I decided to heat emboss this sweet sentiment, and added some embellishments to finish things off - I love this look for Christmas! Greetings of the Season Stamp Set; Country Woods & Nests of Winter DSP; Basic White, Garden Green & Real Red CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Stylish Shapes Dies; Birchwood 3D EF; Gold Textured Dots & Snowflake Elements (retired) Embellishments; #IMC543. We have some fun bold colors for you this round at As You See It #333! I thought this one would be fun to do up in some of fancy Decorative Trees dies - so many to choose from besides the stamped one! I picked these three for our colors, and embossed a beautiful Painted Trees background with my new embossing folder! A quick sentiment, some Iridescent Discs, and I am set! Now if only it snowed here, lol... I can't wait to see YOUR fun projects with our bright colors this round - see you at the challenge! Decorative Trees Stamp Set; Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green & Azure Afternoon CS; Shaded Spruce Ink; Painted Trees EF; Decorative Trees Dies; Iridescent Discs in Granny Apple Green; #AYSI333.
