Seeing Peace

I love our cute sketch this round at As You See It #350!
I'm still having fun playing with our preview suite, Peace on Earth - this DSP is just amazing!  This paper is also teaching me how cool Cloud Cover and Secret Sea are from our latest In Colors, too.  And boy are they pretty together!  I couldn't help but think of our gorgeous tree trio in the just-retired Forever Forest set when I saw out little columns.  I popped the plaque from the new suite behind them to help them really pop, and floated this perfect long and narrow sentiment over them.  So pleased with how this came out - so elegant!
I can't wait to see what YOU see in our sketch this round - meet you at the challenge!
Peace on Earth Stamp Set & Dies; Forever Forest Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2025); Peaceful Garden DSP; Basic White, Cloud Cover & Secret Sea CS; Cloud Cover, Misty Moonlight & Secret Sea Inks; Night of Navy Linen Thread; Silver Glitter Sequins; #AYSI350.

Another fun sketch from Sketch Saturday #777 - and so many embellies!  Yay!
I wanted to show off more of the upcoming Peaceful Garden DSP for this one - SO many pretty patterns, AND we were able to get some new Glimmer papers with it as well - I'm so bad at using these!  I was proud that I slipped in a little of the blue, lol.  I also tried out one of the pretty dove dies in the Peace on Earth bundle that goes with this suite - I think I did a good job adding an eye!  I also used two colors of the Hues of Blue Flowers embellies, too - woo hoo! (See what I did there??)

Good times!  CAS on Friday #309 is having a "things with wings" challenge!
I still have so many birds ready from our gorgeous Nests of Winter DSP, I decided to go with that, and I made this little CAS layout to show off a little chickadee friend!  Since his little pine boughs looked so green and crisp, I matched the sentiment in Shaded Spruce, too, and finished with a few clusters of Cherry Cobbler Berries.  When I was looking over the sentiments, I remembered that I had popped in that coordinating Paper Pumpkin stamp set, too - yay!  I'm really liking the simplicity of this card, and still so festive!

Hm, what a nifty sketch they have this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #461!
I knew right away that for this one I would want to coordinate some fun DSP with all the other different layers - whew!  A lot to unpack!  I finally settled on our Season of Green & Gold for the DSP, and it took me a bit to work out the rest of the layers, too, lol.  Then I had to go hunting for a festive sentiment that would fit in the space assigned - I had to dig deep!  I finally spotted this little guy in 2020's Warm Hugs stamp set - such a fun one to go with little espresso cups!  Anyway, I got work putting it all together, and I'm really pleased with the final outcome!  I even slipped in some texture!

Lol, I'm so stoked to visit with my old teamies at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #169 for some Christmas critters!
I decided to go with my gorgeous Dove of Hope set for this one, though the moose always gets a look, too, lol.  I wanted to use my dies today, AND add the large sweet sprig for him to carry, too.  I had the idea to slip a Gold Hoop Embellishment behind it, too - really sets everything off!  I finished with a few Pearl Berries, and just love how it came out.  A simple and perfect message - just right for Christmas!

Woo, this is a tall order!  Shopping Our Stash #541 is called "thrice as nice," and they want us to use at least THREE different DSPs on our card!  Yikes!
At first I was all in a tizzy - is that even possible??  Then I remembered the cute Fruit Salad card I did with the Everyday Arches Dies - now THERE'S a way to show off some DSP!  How about a crisp and cheery version for Christmas??  I dug out my old Let It Snow Specialty DSP pack to choose some perfect patterns - love these sheets with the glitter detail on them!  Then I stamped a nice big Christmas sentiment from Peaceful Season for the center seam - perfect!  A few Glitter Sequins is just the right finishing touch!  And if you count the envelope, I got SEVEN patterns on there!  Woo!
Peaceful Season Stamp Set; Let It Snow DSP (retired); Basic White, Shaded Spruce & Coastal Cabana CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Everyday Arches Dies; Glitter Sequins; #SOS541.

Cheerful Tag (& Thank You Cards Feb 8!)

So cute!  Cupcake Inspirations #610 would like us to add a tag this round!
In furtherance of my ongoing Christmas Card readiness resolution, I went straight for the Greetings of the Season bundle, which has a HUGE set of tag dies to go with it!  I used an older retired paper for this one, but one that is so festive and cheerful to me - love the sketchy look of the designs in our retired Joy of Christmas pack!  I stamped the sentiment on the largest tag, and added some fancy ribbon, along with these Holly Gems & Sequins - cute and quick!

I feel a little nervous, but it was my turn to offer our first fill-in-the-blank challenge of the year at As You See It #340!  I'm not a big resolutions person, but hey, what are YOUR crafting goals??
It's going to sound a little crazy, but MY crafting goal is to have MORE Christmas cards this year.  When it was time for me to get out our cards, I didn't have enough!  I almost fell off my chair, lol.  So, I can't let the grass grow on that at all - let's make a Christmas card today!  Today I pulled my retired Framed & Festive set off the shelf - this was an add-on set to the Framed Florets bundle, and I SO never gave it enough ink time!  I love the mixed fonts so much, I chose this pretty one for the gorgeous stitched frame die!  I floated everything over my beloved Season of Green & Gold DSP - I'm still pretty smitten with this stuff, too, lol.  A few fussy cut mistletoe sprigs and some tiny clusters of Gold Pearls is the perfect to finish!
I can't wait to see YOUR crafting resolutions, too - meet you at the challenge!
Framed & Festive Stamp Set (retired 2023); Season of Green & Gold DSP; Very Vanilla & Old Olive CS; Old Olive Ink; Framed Florets Dies (retired); Festive Pearls in Gold; #AYSI340.

Happy New Year!  To kick things off at Retro Rubber #246, we want to see some winter fun!
So, apparently I don't quite have Christmas out of my system yet, lol.  Because my idea of winter fun is STILL baking for Santa, in a snuggly holiday sweater, lol.  I'm am SO not into winter sports, except maybe to watch from the living room!  This little pup checking on Santa's snack is also still one of my all time fave image combos - and we all know how much I love to color!  I kept my colors simple this time - just three:  Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler & Pool Party - perfect!
I can't wait to see YOUR fave Winter Fun cards - meet you at the challenge!  And don't forget to make it Retro!

Snowflake Joy

It's still a little chilly this time of year in a lot of places, so we want to see some snowflakes at Make My Monday #243!
It even got cooler here in Arizona - it was only 45 degrees out this morning!  Yikes for us, lol.  Anyway, it doesn't bother me at all the the only snowflakes I usually see around here are the paper kind, lol.  And none are better than this gorgeous sheet from our old Storybook Gnomes DSP - my favorite snowflakes, I swear!  I mixed them up with my old Tin of Tags set, too - LOVE this snowflake in that set, and how cool it looks behind this exuberant sentiment, too!  I went all Pacific Point for this one - stamping and stamping off twice to get these three shades - so fun for such a bold color!
I can't wait to see YOUR snowflakes, too, this round - meet you at the challenge!
Tin of Tags Stamp Set (retired 2016); Storybook Gnomes DSP (retired); Basic White & Pacific Point (retired) CS; Pacific Point Ink (retired); Layered Circles Dies (retired); Pacific Point Fine Sparkle Gems (retired); #MMM243.
