![]() Lol, I'm so stoked to visit with my old teamies at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #169 for some Christmas critters! I decided to go with my gorgeous Dove of Hope set for this one, though the moose always gets a look, too, lol. I wanted to use my dies today, AND add the large sweet sprig for him to carry, too. I had the idea to slip a Gold Hoop Embellishment behind it, too - really sets everything off! I finished with a few Pearl Berries, and just love how it came out. A simple and perfect message - just right for Christmas! Dove of Hope Stamp Set (retired 2020); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green & Cherry Cobbler Blends Markers; Detailed Dove Dies (retired); Gold Hoop Embellishment (retired); Pearl Berries; #SCC169.

![]() Woo, this is a tall order! Shopping Our Stash #541 is called "thrice as nice," and they want us to use at least THREE different DSPs on our card! Yikes! At first I was all in a tizzy - is that even possible?? Then I remembered the cute Fruit Salad card I did with the Everyday Arches Dies - now THERE'S a way to show off some DSP! How about a crisp and cheery version for Christmas?? I dug out my old Let It Snow Specialty DSP pack to choose some perfect patterns - love these sheets with the glitter detail on them! Then I stamped a nice big Christmas sentiment from Peaceful Season for the center seam - perfect! A few Glitter Sequins is just the right finishing touch! And if you count the envelope, I got SEVEN patterns on there! Woo! Peaceful Season Stamp Set; Let It Snow DSP (retired); Basic White, Shaded Spruce & Coastal Cabana CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Everyday Arches Dies; Glitter Sequins; #SOS541. ![]() Pumpkin Club February 22! Cupcake Inspirations #610 would like us to add a tag this round! In furtherance of my ongoing Christmas Card readiness resolution, I went straight for the Greetings of the Season bundle, which has a HUGE set of tag dies to go with it! I used an older retired paper for this one, but one that is so festive and cheerful to me - love the sketchy look of the designs in our retired Joy of Christmas pack! I stamped the sentiment on the largest tag, and added some fancy ribbon, along with these Holly Gems & Sequins - cute and quick! Greetings of the Season Stamp Set; Joy of Christmas DSP (retired); Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Greetings of the Season Dies; Cherry Cobbler Metallic Ribbon; Holly Berries & Leaves Sequins; #CIC610. ![]() Thank You Cards 2025! I'm not a big resolutions person, but hey, what are YOUR crafting goals?? It's going to sound a little crazy, but MY crafting goal is to have MORE Christmas cards this year. When it was time for me to get out our cards, I didn't have enough! I almost fell off my chair, lol. So, I can't let the grass grow on that at all - let's make a Christmas card today! Today I pulled my retired Framed & Festive set off the shelf - this was an add-on set to the Framed Florets bundle, and I SO never gave it enough ink time! I love the mixed fonts so much, I chose this pretty one for the gorgeous stitched frame die! I floated everything over my beloved Season of Green & Gold DSP - I'm still pretty smitten with this stuff, too, lol. A few fussy cut mistletoe sprigs and some tiny clusters of Gold Pearls is the perfect to finish! I can't wait to see YOUR crafting resolutions, too - meet you at the challenge! To kick things off at Retro Rubber #246, we want to see some winter fun! So, apparently I don't quite have Christmas out of my system yet, lol. Because my idea of winter fun is STILL baking for Santa, in a snuggly holiday sweater, lol. I'm am SO not into winter sports, except maybe to watch from the living room! This little pup checking on Santa's snack is also still one of my all time fave image combos - and we all know how much I love to color! It even got cooler here in Arizona - it was only 45 degrees out this morning! Yikes for us, lol. Anyway, it doesn't bother me at all the the only snowflakes I usually see around here are the paper kind, lol. And none are better than this gorgeous sheet from our old Storybook Gnomes DSP - my favorite snowflakes, I swear! I mixed them up with my old Tin of Tags set, too - LOVE this snowflake in that set, and how cool it looks behind this exuberant sentiment, too! I went all Pacific Point for this one - stamping and stamping off twice to get these three shades - so fun for such a bold color! I can't wait to see YOUR snowflakes, too, this round - meet you at the challenge! So I'm back like a new penny to Sparkles #168, who would like to see something warm and cozy! One of my favorite cozy Christmas images in my collection is this snuggly moose from last year's Festive & Fun - a cute sweater AND he baked! Or steamed, at least, lol. I also love to color, of course, and this image is just perfect for a little of that, without being overwhelming. I gave him a pretty Mossy Meadow sweater, and dolled up that pudding, too, finishing with a few Cherry Cobbler Berries. I even found a little bit of Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim! Simple but festive - just right! I decided to combine the gorgeous Season of Elegance DSP with some Champagne Glimmer Paper and see what happened! I set up a lovely neutrals-with-gold background with the DSP and then cut five Forever Forest Pines from the glimmer paper to build my little landscape. It came out just as I hoped! I heat embossed this perfect sentiment from Decorative Trees and finished with some Gold Sparkle Gems. It ALL glitters today, lol! Since we're still in December, I decided to do a Christmas card - I love doing these all year round, but really, December is my high season! I pulled out some super oldies for this one - my "precious" is these gorgeous Snowflake Elements embellishments! These delicate laser cut wooden beauties were released I think in 2014 or 15, and I loved them so much! These are my very LAST 5 - I'm finally letting go! I floated them over my favorite sheet of Country Woods DSP, and also added a sentiment from my favorite Christmas Sentiment set - Tin of Tags from 2016! Such a playful mix of phrases and fonts! I couldn't resist finishing with some Pearl Berries for a little shine, and I LOVE how it came out! Now I won't want to mail this card next year, lol... One of my favorites! After some thought, I decided to tap our lovely Shepherd's Care set for this one - they have their own line in the carol, after all! This time, I kinda CAS'ed a Stampin' Up! sample - I was really interested to try adding color to the image this time! After my Blends, the Water Painters are my favorite coloring tool! It was sweet to add gentle washes of color to select areas - I think pretty effective, too! It definitely evokes the song for me, too... Shepherd's Care Stamp Set; Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake & Misty Moonlight CS; Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive & Crushed Curry Inks; Misty Moonlight Tinsel Gems; #IMC551. |
