Woo hoo! It's time for Christmas in July at Make My Monday #282! This seemed like a good day to break in another Anita Jeram set I picked up from Colorado Craft - this one is called Santa Bunny! Isn't he handsome in his Santa coat?? I decided to add a bright and contrasting strip of DSP from the old Beary Christmas DSP pack to help set him off, and I love the look of the swooshy sentiment floating overhead, too - I just can't help but smile! A few pops of Real Red with these cute sequins was the final touch! I can't wait to see YOUR Christmas in July creations - meet you at the challenge! Colorado Craft Santa Bunny by Anita Jeram Stamp Set & Dies; Beary Christmas DSP (retired); Basic White & Real Red CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Real Red, Pecan Pie, Basic Black & Daffodil Delight Blends Markers; Real Red Sequins; #MMM282.

Besides having one of my favorite themes this round, Christmas in July, CAS on Friday #337 has some new artwork for the blog - so cute! Today seems like a great day to break in another Anita Jeram clearance set I picked up, called Christmas Hats - so stinkin' cute! I went with the dog today, but there's all kinds of critters dressed for the holidays, lol, and a handy set of dies, too. I popped up my pup over this little strip of old Take a Bow DSP, mostly so I could do the envelope flap, too, lol. I few tiny sequins and I am set! Christmas Hats Colorado Craft by Anita Jeram Stamp Set & Dies; Take a Bow DSP; Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake & Real Red Blends Markers; Dazzling Diamonds Glitter; Red Sequins; #CASOF337. Pooh Bear Focus Class July 11, 3 pm! Lol, the promised day has finally arrived - Winnie the Pooh has his very own focus class! With such a complete and beautifully coordinated suite as the Silly Old Bear collection, how could we not?? This class will consist of 6 all-occasion cards (and counting, lol), and includes all supplies needed, plus a sweet-as-honey snack, and a special gift from me, all for $25! Class is on for Saturday, July 11 at 3 pm! RSVP NOW to save your spot! So glad to have another Christmas challenge to play at, let me say, lol. This round, Christmas Crafts All Year Round has K and L prompts! I thought at first I would do the Three Kings for sure, but then I spotted my beloved Santa's Suit set from 2017, and I knew I had to do "L" for LAUNDRY, lol! Santa's laundry, that is! This is such a fun set still! I ended up just doing the laundry line directly on my card base, so I could fit absolutely everything on there, lol. I put a little scrap of DSP across the bottom edge so I could add a little depth, and have somewhere for union-suit Santa to perch! After I finished all the two-step stamping, I went back and added my clothespins - perfect! Santa's Suit Stamp Set (retired 2017); Take a Bow DSP (retired); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Nude Blendability Marker; Santa Builder (retired) & Stylish Shapes Dies; Peppermint Dots; #CCAYRJune26. Ooo! Love this classic color combo over at Hand Stamped Sentiments #490! This seems like a great chance for another preview set - today I'm breaking in the Festive Cheer bundle! This little collection of retro Christmas ornaments is JUST my style, and the sentiments are perfect for them. The dies even have this beautiful pine sprig, that I can add the stem to! It's the pine sprig that actually gave me the idea to try it for this color challenge - that's Pecan Pie and Old Olive right there, lol. I had fun stamping the two-step ornaments I chose, stamping off the body colors. I even buckled down and cut some of the teeny weeny hangers from gold foil for the detail - love the finished look! Festive Cheer Stamp Set & Dies (July 2027 OE); Hobby Haven DSP (retired); Basic White, Pecan Pie, Old Olive & Gold Foil CS; Coastal Cabana, Old Olive & Pecan Pie Inks; Gold Festive Pearls (retired); #HSS490. Ooo, we want to see some stenciling this round at Make My Monday #274! What a great chance to play with another Postage Collage collection from Waffle Flower! I had gotten several Christmas themed sets, and haven't had a chance to play with them yet! The simplest one is this one of snowmen. Only two stencils! You start with the background, faces and arms on one, and then finish with the noses and buttons on the other. So many possibilities! I set up a Pool Party background, with faces and arms in Black, then made all my noses in Pumpkin Pie. Then I went to town on the buttons, lol. In the end, I floated my stamp panel over Azure Afternoon, and finished with some stamp marks that coordinate. So much fun! I can't wait to see YOUR stencils - meet you at the challenge! Waffle Flower Postage Collage & North Pole Stamp Sets; Basic White & Azure Afternoon CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist, Fresh Freesia, Lost Lagoon & Strawberry Slush Inks; Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die; Waffle Flower Postage Collage Snowman Stencil; Azure Afternoon Dots; #MMM274. Very cool! Shopping Our Stash #575 is a "kraft-astic" challenge - that is, use kraft in your card! In my world, that would be Crumb Cake, lol. And I love a good Crumb Cake card! I have a new stamp set I've been dying to use, and I couldn't stop thinking about the kraft-y possibilities. Say hello to Woodland Wishes, a set coming up in our July Online Exclusives! This holiday set has so many cute critters besides this central image, and several fun holiday sentiments - but I kept it all as clean and simple as I could this round. Something I wanted to try was highlighting some of the critters with my Dark and Light Crumb Cake Blends markers, as well as some points of light with a White Gel Pen. I am DELIGHTED with the finished look, and I hope you are, too! Woodland Wishes Stamp Set; Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Dark & Light Crumb Cake Blends; White Gel Pen; #SOS575. Man Cards 2026, Saturday June 13, 2 pm Now is our chance to stock up on some great guy cards - sometimes so hard to craft for! This class will feature 6 all-occasion cards and envelopes for those men in our lives! Class includes all supplies needed (bring your own snips and favorite adhesive!) snacks and drinks, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is ON for Saturday, June 13, at 2 pm! RSVP today to save your spot! Yay! Just enough time to sneak into Merry Little Christmas #68 - always anything goes! I was able to snag a few more Anita Jeram stamp sets from Colorado Craft Company before the last of them sold out - she's such a great illustrator! I remember reading Guess How Much I Love You SO many times with our daughter! Anyway, one set that I couldn't resist was this little Nativity showing the Three Wise Mice, lol. Just the cutest! I really had some fun coloring this all in, and ended up punching them all out with circle punches. I look forward to also fussy cutting them, too, but I wanted to give them a little more real estate today! Our retired Star Trinkets seemed like just the right embellishment to finish! Colorado Craft Company AJ1017 Stamp Set; Traditions of Christmas DSP (retired); Basic White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Smoky Slate, Barely Blush, Pool Party, Darling Duckling, Hydrangea Hue, Peach Pie & Fresh Freesia Blends Markers; 1 1/4", 1 1/2" & 2" Circle Punches; Star Trinkets (retired); #MLC68. Hm, this might be a tough one - Christmas Crafts All Year Round for May is "I" and "J"! OK, I finally managed to come up with "ice skates!" And I have a beautiful pair in last year's Sophisticated Sled stamp set! I found this pretty Pool Party sheet in my North Pole Delivery DSP for a background. I am also breaking in some amazing tag dies from Gummiapan, that have this awesome distressed outline - so cool! I think it's a little hard to see with my big bow at the top, but I love them! I stamped up a wreath to put behind my skates first, and colored it in with three different greens! The skates hang in front, with a little "let it snow" at the bottom. I also found these tiny red sequins which I thought would go great with the bow! I love how this came out! Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set & Dies (retired 2025); North Pole Delivery DSP (retired); Basic White & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Evening Evergreen (retired) & Real Red Inks; Smoky Slate, Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Lemon Lime Twist & Soft Succulent (retired) Blends Markers; Gummiapan Old Tags Dies; Real Red Faux Linen Trim; Red Sequins; #CCAYRMay26. Critters Class 2026 Saturday, May 16 at 2 pm! Yay! It's finally time for my favorite class of the year - critters! We have SO many new little friends, and a few old, I can't wait to give them the love they deserve! This class will include 6 cards, with envelopes, for all occasions! You'll get all the supplies needed (bring your own favorite adhesive and snips), snacks and drinks, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! RSVP to save your spot! So sweet - check out our cotton candy colors this round at Retro Rubber #271! So, I know our pretty graphic says "spring," but how's about a pastel Christmas instead?? Lol, sorry, I just couldn't get the idea out of my head after I spotted my beloved In The Pines set while I was browsing the retired shelves! I love me some fun trees in alternative colors, I guess! I settled on Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather for my colors, and stamped and diecut my trees first. After some playing, I dressed up the white background a tiny bit with my Whimsical Trees EF, and finished with some Pretty in Pink Gems. I love it! I can't wait to see YOUR cotton candy projects this round, too - don't forget to make it Retro! In The Pines Stamp Set (retired 2022); Basic White & Bubble Bath CS; Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia & Highland Heather Inks; Stylish Shapes and Pine Woods (retired) Dies; Whimsical Trees EF (retired); Pretty in Pink Gems; #RRCB271. Another great theme from Shopping Our Stash #572 - "Up, up and away!" They'd like to see anything we see in the sky! It's always fun to do a quiet browse through my retired shelves, looking for a likely set to meet a brief! I wasn't sure what I'd find when I finally made it to my Christmas section, but then Hearts Come Home from 2019 popped up at the very end! And I thought, well, if we're LUCKY, we see the jolly old elf in the sky, lol. I couldn't resist, though I tried to keep it fairly simple! A landscape panel of Night of Navy for my little scene seemed pretty cool, and I tied some old Silver Cording Trim around the open end. Next up to blend on a sky around my masked moon on my feature panel so I could "backlight" Santa on the job! I opted for a single diecut layer of buildings below - I've always thought of this one as the church and parsonage, lol. Just enough space for this sweet sentiment at the bottom! Love it! Hearts Come Home Stamp Set (retired 2019); Night of Navy DSP (retired, on envelope); Basic White & Night of Navy CS; Night of Navy & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; Blending Brush; Hometown Greetings Dies (retired); Silver Cording Trim (retired); Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #SOS572. |
