Well, I found another package of some self-adhesive wafer-thin magnets I found somewhere sometime ago, and decide to crank out a few more flower magnets for an awesome craft show I just found I got in to for November. I decided to use the tall galvanized buckets I picked up ages ago for some party or other s0 I figure I'll do a couple of "flower towers" to make my table look cheery! These are so fun, and easy to make - they really satisfy my love of color habit... Bigz L Fun Flowers Big Shot Die, various retired DSP papers, SU! button accents, and tags from Tiny Tags stamp set.

A sweet, sweet friend recently gave me some totally yummy tea samples from a company she orders from (Mighty Leaf, how cool a name for a tea company is that?!) and they were amazing! And didn't last long! I knew I wanted to make up a quick thank you using the Morning Cup set - My Mom and I are big tea drinkers, so I snapped this set up when it first came out, and am always on the look-out for chances to use it. I combined a few different ideas I've seen floating around out there for the layout - I really love how the 1" circle punch pieces behind the medallions of the Lace Border Ribbon punch really makes it pop. I knew I had to showcase the new 11-13 In Colors, too! Enjoy - and thanks, Stella! Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder CS, Morning Cup stamp set, markers, aqua painter Ahhh, what a great time with my ladies! So fun to catch up, and unwind! Here are tonight's class instructions, and here's a little pic of our 11-13 In Color Guest Treats! How many ways CAN you pack a secret chocolate? Pillow Box Die, Lace Border Trim, Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, SAB Punch Bunch stamp set, inked with Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder markers.
So, as I may have previously mentioned, I STILL have grab bag goodies sitting around, crying out to me! I took my next set, which was from a simply sent card kit that I couldn't ID from my own small catalog collection, and combined it with the new "Pursuit of Happiness" stamp set. I'll be honest - I saw that Desmond Tutu quote, and knew that I needed those stamps! The Emerson quote just sealed the deal! For something else new, I also decided to flip through my Cardmaker's Sketchbook for some card ideas. All these cards are a take on a sketch I found on page 26. What a neat way to dream up ideas! The grab bag set I chose to use included Sahara Sand card bases, with accent CS pieces in Always Artichoke, more Sahara Sand, and the now retired Bordering Blue. Something about that color selection steered me to the Elegant Soiree DSP pack, and the rest is as you see! The individual cards are in my gallery for up close viewing! Pursuit of Happiness stamp set, Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke and Bordering Blue CS, Elegant Soiree DSP, Always Artichoke seam binding ribbon, Neutral buttons, Five Petal Scallop Trim Border punches. OK, I couldn't stand it - here are the cards I plan for us to make on July 20 - all fun new stamps, colors and punches from the new catalog, of course! I just finished my thank-you treats for the ladies, too, who doesn't need a little piece of emergency chocolate? See you all next week - let me know if you're coming so I can make sure I supplies cut! Here's another sneak peek for July 20! It's so bizarre for me to be ready for our class already, I think this is how I finished my Christmas card over the summer last year... Hmmm, must be something I could be doing - oh yeah! Check out my silly new blog header! This is from my first few minutes of doodling around with My Digital Studio - I'm loving it! I'll be playing with all kinds of new things there... Hope you're all having a safe and inspired July 4th! Eat lots of watermelon! Here's that Strawberry Basket Tutorial I promised you - enjoy! Doo de doo, just waiting for my My Digital Studio downloads to finish up, and needed something to do! I really can spend a GINORMOUS amount of time browsing the new catalog, but today, page 99, the Berry Blossoms product suite page, caught my eye. I got to looking at the cute little 3D strawberries, and thought, you know, I bet you could make something really like that with the Flower Folds Big Shot die - wait for it - and the leaves really look like the five petal Flower punch - no, shh, shh, wait for it! - even the basket looks like something I could make... Ding, ding, DUH! OK, so it took me a while to figure out how smart I am (like 42 years) but yes, I'll have a tutorial up later! And YES, my downloads finally finished, now I get to play with MDS, too! |
