I have to say, it's a good thing the journal I'm working on is called "Real Life," because that's what I'm showcasing in my latest layout for this month's My Pumpkin Challenge #114 - You & Me! This was hubby's major "Honey Do" weekend - and he rose to the challenge! From trimming the toenails of three squirmy dogs (2 chocolate labs and a weimaraner) to a major cat-box overhaul (yikes!) to putting away our 12 foot with extra lights Christmas tree, the fun just hasn't stopped around here! He even went to IKEA and got me some more shelves for my office make-over (but really only because it's right by our favorite salsa vendor, but STILL!) He must love us all SO much! Paper Pumpkin-Real Life Journal; plus, Totally Tool (retired) & Designer Typeset Photopolymer stamp sets; Basic Black, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie & Strawberry Slush inks; Strawberry Slush Coastal Cabana & Summer Starfruit CS; Owl Builder Punch (for the tiny heart!) Don't forget - last chance to RSVP for the first stamp class of the year - our Flip Calendar Class will be Thursday, Jan 23, 630 pm, chez Heroldt, with snacks and cheer! Hope to see you there!

Hoop-de-doo, here I am with installment 2 of this month's My Pumpkin Challenge - "You & Me!" I'm sticking to my scrapbook resolution, but I totally still feel like I'm flying without a net here - thank goodness I have so many folks rooting for me and telling me I can do whatever I want in a scrapbook! Today's pages immortalize a truly beautiful day in the life of Hea & Hubby - with lunch, even! Here's the story - Todd's golf partner cancelled on him for the day, and instead of going anyway and just picking up with another group, he took me downtown to see an exhibit I had mentioned earlier I wished I could see at the Phoenix Art Museum - a three-days-only showing of the 2014 Ikebana of Arizona Society!! That's right folks - my sweetheart gave up a day of golf to take his wife to "some weird flower show," and added a yum-mo and swanky lunch at the museum cafe after! What a fun morning! He even sprang for a museum membership, making me wonder if I might get more lunch dates out of this! Paper Pumpkin-Real Life Journal; plus, Summer Starfruit, Basic Gray & Strawberry Slush inks; Whisper White & Coastal Cabana CS; 3/4" Oval Punch; On Film Framelits Dies. Ahh, I love the sight of Pumpkin in the New Year! Jess is kicking us off with a faBOO theme challenge, too - My Pumpkin Challenge #114 - "You & Me," however you want to show it! This is the perfect time for me to try my hand at some light scrap-booking, NOT something I'm famous for, for sure. However, it's pretty hard to resist with the seriously cute Real Life Journal that came for the December kit! With this You & Me theme, I figure I can use this month to make a sweet little book about us for hubby, just in time for Valentine's Day! Hope you'll follow along with me - I'm pretty nervous to try this! I'm opening with the cover, of course - future entries will show a couple pages at a time! So, what are you and YOUR Pumpkin up to this year?? Paper Pumpkin-Real Life Journal; plus, Perfect Pennants stamp set; Banners framelits; Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Pumpkin Pie & Summer Starfruit CS; Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush & Versamark inks; Pool Party Embossing Powder; Summer Starfruit Satin Stitched Ribbon; Coastal Cabana & Strawberry Slush Stretch Ruffle Trim; Owl Builder Punch (for the tiny hearts!) |
