Woo hoo!  I'm super excited about The Male Room #174's "animal" challenge!
This seemed like the perfect chance to break in our new Gone Fishing suite - SO many cool new man toys, lol!  The stamp set itself is fascinating, with fish and lure themes, along with great manly greetings.  The die site is over the TOP!  I could make a whole tackle box with it, lol, and likely will soon!  And I can't get over the gorgeous DSP - I featured three different sheets today!  That background sheet of flies is perfectly non-directional, and I added some "water" paper for all my fishies - which were cut from another DSP sheet!  Love them so much!  Some of the dies even cut these fish, too, of course!  Hope fish count as animals, lol...
Gone Fishing Stamp Set; Let's Go Fishing DSP; Very Vanilla & Pebbled Path CS; Pebbled Path Ink; Stitched Shapes Dies (retired); Rustic Metallic Dots; #TMR174.

Ah, a great challenge this round at Cardz 4 Guyz#320 - embossing, wet or dry!
I definitely have to turn to my Legendary Ride suite for this one - I can't get enough of the Metal Plate EF!  I have another of the illustrations from the collection sheet of DSP, too - check out this spiffy motorcycle rider!  He's all business, lol.  I floated him over an embossed sheet of Galvanized Metallic CS, and added my sentiment on a large circle.  At the last second, I colored in the headlight of the motorcycle with a Pumpkin Pie Blends Marker, too, a fun highlight!  I even used a few of the "bar" style embellishments, I've been stewing over how to work these in for a WHILE!
Legendary Ride Stamp Set; Ready to Ride DSP; Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Galvanized Metallic & Pumpkin Pie CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Pumpkin Pie Blends Marker; Stylish Shapes Dies; Metal Plate EF; Pumpkin Pie Twine; Adhesive-Backed Studs; #C4G320.

Very nice - Cardz 4 Guyz #298 has a Father's Day challenge for us this week - good timing!
Today is the day I get to break in the new Brewed For You stamp set - I got this bundle from my downline Barb, who accidentally ordered more than one - I have SO been there!  Turns out, this is a really fun set - wait'll you see the dies!  (Next time!)  For today, I did a stamped background using the pub glasses - I added some foam to each, plus the beer, of course, lol.  I finished with a detail strip of the He's the Man DSP and this sentiment from our departing Happy & Heartfelt set.  I love it when it all comes together!
Brewed For You & Happy & Heartfelt Stamp Sets; He's the man DSP; Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry & Basic White CS; Early Espresso & Crushed Curry Inks; Ornate Frames Dies (retired); Rustic Metallic Dots; #C4G298.

Oh gosh, there's 5the cutest inspiration pic for this week's Cupcake Inspiration #520's Father's Day theme!  Love that 'stache!
Now, it just so happens that my Da has a mustache like this, and so even though we're not supposed to take our inspiration cupcake TOO seriously, I couldn't resist bringing on the handlebars, lol.  I still have my old Mustache die from 2014, and I combined it with the strongman from Guy Greetings (2018!) for my envelope, along with this cute sentiment from the current Ride the Range set - seemed apropos!  I went ahead and put a Father's Day greeting inside from Guy Greetings while I had it out, too.  Can't wait to send this one to Da!
Ride the Range & Guy Greetings (retired 2018) Stamp Sets; Basic White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Mustache Die (retired 2014); Black Sequins; #CI520.

Woo hoo!  Hope you can get in on some "square" action with us at this week's Fab Friday #215!
Normally, I'm a real dud when it comes to odd-shaped cards, even square ones, lol.  I'll usually just make tiny ones, like 4 1/4" square, so they'll still fit in a regular card envelope.  But I was doing some stash-diving last week and came across a little stack of 6 1/2" square envelopes - no clue where these came from!  That said, I decided to go for some bigger real estate today, and managed a full 6" x 6" card, made possible by also finding some old 12" x 12" CS hiding back there, too!  When I spotted this perfect Dad sentiment in Best Year, I knew I wanted to try it with my Welcoming Window, which I thought would complement the square shape.  Love it!
Can't wait to see YOUR projects this week - be there or be square!  Wait, be square either way!
Welcoming Window & Best Year Stamp Sets; In Good Taste DSP; Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake & Basic White CS; Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake & Pool Party Inks;  Rectangle Stitched & Window Flower Box Dies; Genial Gems; #FabFri215.

I'm excited by this week's "in the garden" challenge at The Male Room #136!
I ran straight to My Meadow for this one, I was thinking of the little wheelbarrow right away!  I built a little scene with the barrow front and center, and used Pretty Peacock for my accents - love this In Color!  I hunted around for a sentiment, and finally came across this one from Butterfly Gala - but I have a Happy Father's Day from the My Wonderful Family Paper Pumpkin inside - this card will be perfect for my Da - he has a HUGE 2 acre garden down on his ranch outside Austin, and I can just picture him out there puttering in the kale, lol.  This'll be my hint to add some pretty flowers, too!
My Meadow, Butterfly Gala & My Wonderful Family PP Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Pretty Peacock & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green, Real Red, Pretty Peacock & Pool Party Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Pinewood Planks EF; Linen Thread; #TMR136.

Dad to the Grill Rescue

Oo, excellent challenge at this week's The Male Room #113 - a cooking or baking theme!  I know my sweetie is a master griller - that boy can cook!
This card is kind of a joke about something that happened here recently - a neighbor had a little trouble with a grill fire next door while we were out in the pool, and hubby ran over to help calm the inferno real quick - I've been teasing him ever since, lol.  I figured I would use the Apron of Love for this card, but then I got the idea to use the Everyday Hero set, and gave him a grill toll instead, lol.  We all need a grill hero sometimes!
Everyday Hero & Calling All Heroes Stamp Sets (both retired); Whisper White, Silver Foil, Crumb Cake & Night of Navy CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Smoky Slate & Crushed Curry Inks; Pool Party, Poppy Parade, Nude & Cajun Craze Blends Markers; Apron Builder Framelits; #TMR113.

With their usual perfect timing, SU Only #201 has a masculine/Father's Day challenge for us this week - excellent!
For this one, I couldn't resist grabbing my Everyday Hero set off the shelf when I was working on yesterday's Retro Rubber card - another fun guy set that just didn't get enough catty-time, so far as I'm concerned, lol.  And I LOVE that this set has male AND female heroes, lol.  Today, though, it's all about the dude!  I wanted to take a few of our new colors out for a spin, too - surprisingly, Balmy Blue is growing on me, how about that!
Yay, Daddy (that's a our daddy pep rally cry around here, lol), you're the best - always!
Everyday Hero Stamp Set (retired-2017); Balmy Blue, Merry Merlot, Gray Granite & Whisper White CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue & Merry Merlot Inks; #SUO201.

Super excited by another collection challenge at As You See It #177 - this one for the guys!
With the tree part of the collection, it just seemed natural to pull out our awesome new Rooted in Nature set, and some Wood Texture DSP to go with, lol.  I tried to sneak in the other elements, and play with shapes and layering a little.  Last of all, the UPS man came and brought my last order for me, which had my new Basics Adhesive Sequins - I thought these looked kind of Crumb Cake-y, so I added a few of those, too!  Woo hoo!
Rooted in Nature & Thoughtful Banners Stamp Sets; Wood Textures DSP; Whisper White, Night of Navy & Crumb Cake CS; Night of Navy & Crumb Cake Inks; Nature's Roots & Stitched Shapes Framelits; Linen Thread; Basics Adhesive Sequins; #AYSI177.

Stampin' Manly Moments

We're trying something a little new over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday today - just in time to kick off June, we're doing a little "man card" blog hop for you to enjoy!  I've repeated the links list below, so you can hop along and celebrate the guys with us!
For mine, I decided to show off an alternative card for the latest Paper Pumpkin kit - Manly Moments.  How could I not go for it with a title like that??  I ruthlessly scavenged some parts from the kit to make this new set of layers on my own card base, and used some of the leavings to create a stencil for my envelope front (even manly cards can't have naked envelopes, lol.)  I added some old Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon, and some old dark gray sequins to go with the touches of silver from the kit.  Pretty, but manly, too, lol.  The Pumpkin lives!  Now hop along to Sara for some more dude-ness!
Manly Moments Paper Pumpkin; plus, Gray Granite CS; Mossy Meadow Ink; Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon (retired); Dark Gray Sequins; #TSOTMasculineHop.
