Oh wow - you are going to LOVE the Season to Season Wreath project!  Here's a fun card from Retro Sketches #183! I decided to go Christmas on this one, lol. The chance to do a few different greens in this fun ornament from Lots of Joy was too good to pass up! I really struggled with the ribbon on this one, sigh, until I remembered I still have a bit of this pleated satin ribbon left from ages ago! Pulling this one out of the retirement box since the color is current again, lol... I decided to go floral today - all these yummy pinks made me think of shading something special, you know? I kept the card fairly sparse, with teeny touches of pearls that I colored up. I know we don't have the Blendabilities anymore, but well, I still have ALL of mine, and I try to remember to pull them out at least for dolling up my embellies! I couldn't decide which flower I wanted to color, so I ended up combining my two faves, lol...  Here's a fun CASE from SU-per Challenge #105! I'm matching it with Nacho Average Challenge #160! When I first saw the CASE, I totally thought I was going to do a different image, especially when I added the color challenge. Like, totally Halloween, right? Right! Then my little framelits started working their wiles on me, and I watched the Painted Lady butterfly checking out my tomato plants during lunch today, and I realized, uh, these ARE actually butterfly colors! So I gave it up and put this together. Who else loves playing with Gorgeous Grunge? Me, me, me!! I should do more of that, lol... PS. I also layered the smaller butterfly possible and put him inside the card...  Cool slanty sketch at this week's Sunday Stamps #110! I think I'll match this one with Merry Monday #172's watercolor challenge! OK, I sure hope my aqua-painter counts as watercoloring, lol! I decided to go back to my earliest Christmas set this year - Santa's Gifts. He's so fun to color! He wanted the little tree today to share today... I also added the ribbon wrap to help cover any angle indiscretions I might have had against that plaid. Not that I did. Just an idea. Really. For future reference. Snicker. I'm going to sneak in the birthday theme going on over at TGIF #21, too! I've had it in mind to try something with one of the boxes that I saw done at convention with our cool new square pillow box: to hide an opening behind a "belly band," that serves as a kind of sheath for the box to split right down the middle. You can also use this trick to make the box longer, or as I've done here, shorter. It works surprisingly well! I really wanted to try this with our corrugated paper to make sure my band was sturdy enough - neato... For this one, I decided to break out the very versatile Happy Scenes stamp set. I learned that I could fill up the space of the framelit I chose by stamping twice, while lining up that little horizon line - perfect! I'm looking for a chance to do this all the way across a card now, lol... I had fun adding some details in the correct color (I SO missed a touch of green for this one, sob) and I love how all these elements came together! I think even my accent leaf looks like the ones from my "happy scene!"
