 Aw, In{k}spire Me #555 is their Valentine's Special! Yay! I couldn't resist pulling out my super sweet Bee My Valentine set for this one - I even still have a little of the DSP left! When I rummaged through my Sweet Sorbet folder of retired scraps, I also found this awesome Ombre Glimmer sheet, too - perfect for a big background heart! I did a quick (but still cute!) bee, and dressed up my sentiment with some honeycomb, too - so fun, and really fast, somehow!  Lol, If You Give a Crafter a Cookie #201 has some sweet Valentines cookies for us this round! Yum! I decided to do a browse of the Shelves of Retirement for something Valentine - but my critter section starts right after "small holidays!" And right next to the Valentine set I was thing about was my Kangaroo & Company from 2021! And I remembered, she had this cool set of hearts to tuck in her pouch, that look SO much like these cookies, lol. Anyway, Roo won the ink today, but I did dress her up with some scraps of Marbled Elegance DSP, and this quirky-fonted sentiment from the 2019 January Paper Pumpkin called Be Mine Valentine. It just worked! Anyway, I set up a suitable spacey background with my retired Stargazing DSP, added a lovely stitched heart from the Stitched Be Mine Dies, and put my Peter Quill front and center! I think this will be good for quite the laugh at dinner that night! This guy is so cute! When I saw the pink red and gold at the top of the inspo list, I also knew I'd be pulling out the Marbled Elegance DSP again, too - this stuff is so awesome! I used up a few scraps for this background, cut a Flirty Flamingo heart with the Stitched Be Mine dies, then got to work on my lumberjack, lol. He's so ready for Valentine's Day! I even slipped on some gold sequins! But he doesn't get to go to Morton's for dinner like I do, though, lol. Wood You Be Mine ? I have to say, I am ALWAYS short on Thank You Cards - I always debate if we should do these first after Christmas, lol! Today I have another preview set to share - I was so tickled by the images and sentiments in Perfect Pairs that I couldn't resist! I decided to go for a "black and white and one color" kind of scheme, so I could feature the adorable salt and pepper shakers! I even added the little smiley face to both of them, because they just love being together, lol! I found this dotty sheet in my retired Zoo Crew DSP pack - I really haven't used the black and white sides much at all because I've been so smitten with the cute critters on the other side, but this one was perfect! I layered it on Gray Granite, so I could color my shaker tops in the same color, and snip them out. They look super chummy on their Granite Stitched Oval, and I even tacked in some Metallic Black thread behind that - I never use that stuff! A few Iridescent Black Pearls is the perfect finishing touch! As soon as I spotted this honey sheet in the Bee Mine DSP pack, I knew it was made to go with this set, too, as well as Bee My Valentine, lol. Bee My Valentine even has the perfect honey sentiment, which totally makes up for there not being any in Fluffiest Friends, in my book, lol. Anyway, I got the hearts in there, and I'm ready for a cuppa now, too, lol. Perfect! I added on my sentiment per the sketch, all over our stack Poppy Parade DSP - I almost forgot we have all these hearts! A few Bubble Bath punched hearts to complete the look, and I'm all set! I even put the inside sentiment in there - "I'm APE over you!" I can't wait to see your cute Retro projects with out sketch - meet you at the challenge! I tried to keep it simple, and just focused on the mailbox, a few hearts, and that sweet little bird - today was definitely a good coloring day! I snipped up this long LOVE sentiment to align with the post more, and finished with a few Pool Party Adhesive-Backed Flowers - so cute! Time to check the mail - for some love! Like, I was thrilled to use my old PS. I Love You set from 2012 - still a fave of mine - I love this "heart of hearts" image! I also still had some Sweet Talk DSP left - I think this was from a Valentine's suite from 2022? You could have knocked me over with a feather when I spotted this sheet with red and purple hearts on it! Score! And my stamp set even has a cupid, too, which I HAD to include, lol. Hard to believe I still have these punches, too, shhh! So I covered red, purple, pearls, love sentiment, hearts and cupid - not too shabby! I even did wings and antennae on vellum - trying something new, lol. I finished with a couple of the cute hearts from the Hearts & Flowers embellishments - just so sweet! "You're as sweet as honey" is stamped inside! I haven't gotten a Valentine's set in so long, this is definitely a super cutie!
