There's also a branch that you can float the nest on - I actually cut the branch in half {GASP} so I could stretch it out longer across a card front - it felt so daring! Anyway, I stuck to the nests today, which I stamped in my neutral Crumb Cake. Then I went back and colored in the tiny leaves in Soft Sea Foam, and then fussy cut eggs in each of our challenge colors - beautiful! I finished with the "Blessings" sentiment, I'm thinking Easter, and few Shades of Green Hexagons. I'm going to call the lightest ones Soft Sea Foam! I can't wait to see YOUR pretty colors this round - meet you at the challenge!  Oo, a fabulous inspo list for Easter at Festive Friday #205! Such a cute list - I went straight to my Basket Bunch bundle from 2017 - so many of these elements are in there! I started with pastel colors, pulling a sweet sheet from my old Lighter Than Air DSP, and layering it over Bubble Bath. Then I assembled my ideal basket, with a yummy chocolate bunny front and center! I added two pretty eggs to either side and tucked some grass behind as well. I tied on a little snip of the this Fresh Freesia ribbon on the handle - I'm really stretching out the last foot or so I have of this one! A few Bubble Bath sequins are the sweetest finish! So, I think I hit pastel colors, ribbon, rabbit, Easter eggs, Easter Greeting and basket! Woo! I started with a background set up of Bubble Bath DSP over some Melon Mambo, then I clipped a little strip of grass from Granny Apple Green with our Fringe Scissors! From there, I decided to do TWO eggs to color from the stamp set, and I went to town with Bubble Bath, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow Blends - so relaxing, lol. I tried to tuck them into the "grass" when I was done, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR fresh Spring projects this round, too - and don't forget to make it Retro! Sometimes we need a little help with our hardest notes to write - and this class is just for that. For me, that tool is the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig! I even have multiple ones, in case anything happens to one, lol. I just love this little sucker! Once I got the knack of how to hold everything, it's the fastest way I know to quickly stamp something in a specific place, or on a little scrap, or whatever, and it works especially awesome on wood-mounted stamps, or red rubber! They can't all be photopolymer, lol. To show it off, I did today's tiled bunny layout using my SAMJ and 2010's Chocolate Bunny stamp - a single wood-mount that I can never let go, lol. Now, don't get me wrong, my Stamp-a-ratus and marker spritzer are firmly clutched in my OTHER hand, but I reach for my SAMJ all the time! Plus, it has this beautiful Easter sentiment, also perfect for Spring! To keep it CAS, I went with white-on-white layers, and add a simple border on one edge from the set - I still love my Stamp-a-ma-Jig, too, lol! Next I stamped up my chosen flowers on some scrap, and colored them with my Blends. I added them on dimensionals, and set my sentiment to the left. I looked a little TOO bare for me still, so I couldn't help adding on 3 tiny yellow sequins, too - shhh! What about Easter eggs? Sold!! I pulled out Last Year's Excellent Eggs bundle and got to work! I picked out three pretty pastel patterns for diecut eggs, as well as one extra for a background. I still have a roll of the Pool Party Pom Pom ribbon that I have never used - now's the time, lol. I heat embossed this pretty Easter sentiment to float over the ribbon, and finished with a few Peach Pie Resin Dots. So sweet! I have to say, I am ALWAYS short on Thank You Cards - I always debate if we should do these first after Christmas, lol! I've been really wanting to use the palm cross arrangement in our new Faith Collection set - this one will be perfect for it! I started with a simple white-on-white background, and laid down my palms in Mossy Meadow. I stamped the wood cross and lilies in Black onto some white scrap, and filled in the "wood" with Pecan Pie. I also added a little Light Daffodil Delight to the center of the lilies. I used the dies to cut everything out, and popped on my details for some extra dimension. Since the set is in photopolymer, it was a cinch to add the sentiment to the side! This is so perfect for an ultra-CAS look! Oo, what a fun windowed layout from Sketch Saturday #767! This one feels very out of my card-making style to me, but I really wanted to use some of these adorable diecuts that come in the Storybook Moments DSP pack! I have a hard time using these, mostly because there are never enough of the same image for me to use in a class, lol, but then I got to thinking that I could still use them on my other cards! I just need to apply myself! So I set up this sweet gardening background, and picked three images that I though would go along with that theme. I should have used the "spring" sentiment, but I also haven't used the Easter one yet, so out that came, too! Such a cutie! I finished with the antique pearls that go with this suite, but I think they get a little lost, hmmm... I even have the add-on dies, The Love of Spring, that has this gorgeous daffodil die in it! I did all my coloring in Blends markers this time - though I also love to do these with Water Painters - another great look! And of course, I couldn't resist floating everything over this glorious Gingham Gala DSP sheet in Lemon Lime Twist - my little hoard is dwindling!
