So cute - The Sisterhood of Crafters has a theme of bunnies or chicks this round! How about one of each?? As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I wanted to pull out the February 2024 Paper Pumpkin - Sweet Springtime! Such cute images in this one, and the sweetest Easter sentiment, too. I even have the add-on dies, The Love of Spring, that has this gorgeous daffodil die in it! I did all my coloring in Blends markers this time - though I also love to do these with Water Painters - another great look! And of course, I couldn't resist floating everything over this glorious Gingham Gala DSP sheet in Lemon Lime Twist - my little hoard is dwindling! Sweet Springtime Paper Pumpkin (Feb 2024) Stamp Set; Gingham Gala DSP; Basic White & Daffodil Delight CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Bubble Bath, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie & Lemon Lime Twist Blends Markers; #The Love of Spring Dies; Bumblebee Matte Dots; #TSOCBunnies&Chicks. Very fun - Shopping Our Stash #518 says that "Spring has sprung!" I'm on it! Looking over my retired shelves, I came across my Thanks a Bunch from last year - I am STILL smitten with these carrots, though I'm not too sure what to do with them, lol. I found some old Pumpkin Pie DSP to use for my background, so I paired it with Lemon Lime Twist for a bright Spring color combo! I stamped and fussy cut three of the largest carrots, and then popped up the "Spring" sentiment with my still awesome Tasteful Labels dies. I even snuck in a few Mango Melody Fine Sparkle Gems for a bit of shine! Thanks a Bunch Stamp Set (retired 2023); Pumpkin Pie DSP (retired); Basic White & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Pumpkin Pie & Lemon Lime Twist Inks; Tasteful Labels Dies (retired); Lemon Lime Twist Duo Ribbon; Mango Melody Fine Sparkle Gems; #SOS518. Very nice - it's time for In{k}spire Me #530's Easter theme challenge! Since I actually got an Easter set this year, which I don't often do, I knew I wanted to play with that today! Excellent Eggs has such sweet images, but really, this one is all about the dies for me - we don't have many egg dies! I decided to lay with heat-embossing the fancy egg images today, I definitely like the look! Inspired by the pretty pastels in this DSP sheet from the Lighter Than Air pack, I did a Pool Party and a Fresh Freesia egg, with my sentiment on some Lemon Lolly - VERY Easter bonnet, I think! The Rainbow Dots finished with just the right extra pop of colors! Excellent Eggs Stamp Set; Lighter Than Air DSP; Basic White, Pool Party, Fresh Freesia & Lemon Lolly CS; Versamark & Memento Tuxedo Black Inks; White EP; Crumb Cake & Bubble Bath Blends Markers; White Baker's Twine; Rainbow Dots; #IMC530. We have some delicate pretty colors for you this round at Sunday Stamps #331! With all those eggs, I couldn't help but think of Easter! I decided to play with Fluffiest Friends as soon as I spotted that cute little bunny! Since this set doesn't sentiments, I went with this pretty sentiment in our just-finished Sale-A-Bration set, Heartfelt Hellos! I decided to keep it all ultra CAS - no layers today! I did a little strand of background grass from Pear Pizzazz, and stamped my sentiment on Pool Party to float above that. After coloring in my bunny cutie, I popped him up overlapping the background pieces - so cute! At the last second, I decided to finish with these subtle Lemon Lolly Dots. Now I want an Easter cupcake, too! I can't wait to see your subtle projects for our colors this round - meet you at the challenge! Fluffiest Friends & Heartfelt Hellos (SAB 2024) Stamp Sets; Pear Pizzazz DSP (retired); Basic White, Pool Party & Pear Pizzazz (retired) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia & Pool Party Blends Markers; Fluffiest Friends Dies; Heartfelt Hexagons Punch; Lemon Lolly Dots; #SSC331. We have some cute Spring colors for you this round at Hand Stamped Sentiments #433! It was hard to look at these colors and not see Easter Eggs, right? I've been wanting to play with the fun dies that go with our Excellent Eggs bundle - so cute! I found some DSP in each color, and went to work! I started with base eggs in each color, then took another pattern and played with moving around my scallop die to take different "bites" for accent pieces. I went in a few directions, and added the zig zag for each egg to get three different cool combos! I love mixing and matching, lol. I can't wait to see YOUR fun projects with these Easter colors - meet you at the challenge! Excellent Eggs Stamp Set; Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry & Flirty Flamingo DSP (retired); Basic White & Coastal Cabana CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Excellent Eggs Dies; Rhinestone Basic Jewels; #HSS433. Thank You Cards 2024 Class March 9! Time for a little appreciation! This class will make 6 beautiful Thank You cards with envelopes, and includes all supplies needed (bring your favorite snips and adhesive!) as well as snacks, drinks and a special gift from me, all for $25! This class can also be FREE with your order of $30 or more! Class is on for Saturday, March 9 at 2 pm! RSVP today to save your spot! Today we get TWO cards, because I just can't mash these together, lol - I knew it had to happen sooner or later! First up is our monthly Sparkles Christmas Challenge #158 - let's see some plaid! I started my search with the plaid, and rummaged through my retired DSP bin. I quickly came up with this little pack called Wrapped in Plaid, and one of the pieces showing had all these plaid stockings on it! I took that as a sign, and checked my shelves for some stocking sets. Tags & Trimmings from 2017 leapt right out - such fun dies for it, with ALL the stocking details! I got a little creative to get it all to fit on my card front, but I think I went pretty plaid happy here! Make sure you show us YOUR tartans, too - standing by! Tags & Trimmings Stamp Set (retired 2017); Wrapped in Plaid DSP (retired); Basic White, Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Trim Your Stocking Dies (retired); Heavy Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine; Festive Pearls; #SCC158. Next up I have As You See It #318, where we're running an Easter theme - let's see those bunnies! I decided to go with some pretty fancy eggs - aren't these dies the cutest in our Excellent Eggs bundle? And look how sweet it is with our Perennial Lavender DSP! I did three colors for the eggs, and mixed and matched some inlaid parts for extra cuteness, lol. Tip: if you want to do some inlaid work with this die, I found that our old Large Oval Punch fits perfectly on the back, so I could fit in all my pieces and still pop up my finished eggs! I also loved the look of this beautiful script on this Nested Essential shape - so much drama! Make sure you hop over and share your Easter cards with us - I'll be waiting! Excellent Eggs Stamp Set; Perennial Lavender DSP; Basic White, Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather & Fresh Freesia CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Excellent Eggs & Nested Essentials Dies; Large Oval Punch (retired); Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #AYSI318. We have a fun Spring-y tic-tac-toe for you all this round at Retro Rubber #225! I had to sit with this one for a bit to figure out a direction I wanted to go in, lol. Finally, I picked out a few things I DIDN'T want to do, lol, and worked from there! One of my choices remaining was the top row - shaped card, yellow & green and pattern paper - what do I have that could go with that? I got to thinking about a discussion we had about the Deckled Circle dies in class recently - SO MANY CIRCLES! And some big enough to create a shaped card base! Ta da! This set me on the hunt for "round" sets, and out came Arrange a Wreath from 2021! Since the colors said "Easter" for me, it pretty much flew on from there, and I LOVE how it came out! This was a fun one! I can't wait to see YOUR retro creations for our tic-tac-toe this round - meet you there! Arrange A Wreath Stamp Set (retired 2021); Daffodil Delight DSP; Basic White, Lemon Lime Twist & Granny Apple Green CS; Granny Apple Green & Daffodil Delight Inks; Wreath Builder & Deckled Circles Dies; Large Oval Punch; #RRCB225. I had some fun picking the colors for this one at As You See It #315! It might just be my inspiration pic, but these colors said SPRING to me, lol, so I decided to try out my new Excellent Eggs bundle! One egg to color and I cut out three more! This set has very fun dies - so many details we can add to three different sized eggs - the dies are totally why I got this bundle, lol. We haven't had a fun Easter Egg set for a while, and all the dots and stitching, the fun stripes we can play with - it was a must-have for me, lol. I had some fun pulling together this Bright Granny Apple background, and then coloring in the stamped egg - yum! I added a few of the fancy diecut eggs, and finished with some Melon Mambo Glossy Dots - such happy colors! I can't wait to see YOUR projects with our playful colors - meet you at the challenge! Excellent Eggs Stamp Set; Granny Apple Green DSP (retired); Basic White, Mossy Meadow, Crushed Curry & Melon Mambo CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo & Mossy Meadow Blends Markers; Crushed Curry Stamp-n-Write Marker; Excellent Eggs & Tasteful Labels (retired) Dies; Melon Mambo Glossy Dots; #AYSI315. Oh gosh - AAA Cards #237 wants to see a CAS "shaped" card - this could be good, lol. Something approaching an egg shape was just too tempting for me! I broke out my old Ovals Collection dies, and cut this pretty scalloped oval for my base, then added a white-on-white layer of the next size down. I have this layer a bit by accident - I originally thought I would stamp something Easter-y and color it with Blends, and I didn't want it to bleed through, lol. But then I spotted my Chocolate Bunny from 2010 - WHEN did I stamp it last?? He had to come out, and then I couldn't resist a little grass layer, in our returning Lemon Lime Twist, with a few Berry Burst Flower Buttons, another returning color. SO excited! Hope I kept it CAS enough! A Wish For Everything (retired 2010) & Chocolate Bunny (retired 2020) Stamp Sets; Basic White, Crumb Cake & Lemon Lime Twist CS; Early Espresso Ink; Ovals Collection Dies (retired); Fringe Scissors (retired); Berry Burst Flower Buttons (retired); White Baker's Twine; #AAA237. When I think of Spring flowers, I can't help but always remember my beloved dogwood set, Soft Summer, from 2009. We had a huge sharp slope in the front of the house where I grew up, and it was entirely covered in dogwoods, with our old stone steps cutting through the middle - so dramatic! They bloomed every Spring at Easter, and ours were a creamy blush and white, though there were pink ones around, too. I always think of the Easter story associated with them now, too, and remember laying under them and getting rained on by petals! Such a happy memory! I can't wait to see YOUR Spring cards this round, too - meet you at the challenge! Soft Summer (retired 2009) & Daffodil Daydream Stamp Sets; Basic White, Pear Pizzazz & Crumb Cake CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive, Petal Pink, So Saffron & Crumb Cake Blends Markers; Layering Ovals Dies (retired; Basics 1 3D EF; Pale Papaya Opal Rounds; Pear Pizzazz Cotton Ribbon (retired); #RRCB204.
