![]() Oo, we have a doozy for you at this round of As You See It #346! What retired crafting tool would you NEVER let go of?? For me, that tool is the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig! I even have multiple ones, in case anything happens to one, lol. I just love this little sucker! Once I got the knack of how to hold everything, it's the fastest way I know to quickly stamp something in a specific place, or on a little scrap, or whatever, and it works especially awesome on wood-mounted stamps, or red rubber! They can't all be photopolymer, lol. To show it off, I did today's tiled bunny layout using my SAMJ and 2010's Chocolate Bunny stamp - a single wood-mount that I can never let go, lol. Now, don't get me wrong, my Stamp-a-ratus and marker spritzer are firmly clutched in my OTHER hand, but I reach for my SAMJ all the time! I can't wait to see YOUR answers to this thorny question, lol - meet you at the challenge! Chocolate Bunny (retired 2010) & Hello Spring Paper Pumpkin Stamps; Basic White, Early Espresso & Basic Beige CS; Early Espresso, Pecan Pie & Crumb Cake Inks; 1 1/2" Circle Punch; Open Weave Ribbon in Fresh Freesia; Speckled Dots; #AYSI346. ![]() Pumpkin Club April 26! ![]() Lol, Shopping Our Stash #542 is running a "one is the loneliest number" challenge this round - what a great name for a one layer card! I quickly settled on our Seaside Wishes stamp set for my stamping - I have beach on the brain as we get closer to our trip to Maui! I started with the smaller sand dollar, and knew I wanted to do some masking so I could beef up the depth a little. After I stamped it on the card front, I stamped again on a post-it note and closely fussy cut it for my mask. Next came the larger dollar, followed by the sentiment, some sandy texture and a couple tiny starfish. I love these elements! At the last second, I added a Stitched With Whimsy border - I'm so sad these fun dies are retired, though I guess it makes no never-mind, since I keep using them anyway, lol... One layer cards are SO growing on me! Seaside Wishes Stamp Set; Basic White CS; Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso & Calypso Coral Inks; Stitched With Whimsy Dies (retired); #SOS542. ![]() Sympathy & Scripture Card Class March 15! Shopping Our Stash #541 is called "thrice as nice," and they want us to use at least THREE different DSPs on our card! Yikes! At first I was all in a tizzy - is that even possible?? Then I remembered the cute Fruit Salad card I did with the Everyday Arches Dies - now THERE'S a way to show off some DSP! How about a crisp and cheery version for Christmas?? I dug out my old Let It Snow Specialty DSP pack to choose some perfect patterns - love these sheets with the glitter detail on them! Then I stamped a nice big Christmas sentiment from Peaceful Season for the center seam - perfect! A few Glitter Sequins is just the right finishing touch! And if you count the envelope, I got SEVEN patterns on there! Woo! Peaceful Season Stamp Set; Let It Snow DSP (retired); Basic White, Shaded Spruce & Coastal Cabana CS; Versamark Ink; White EP; Everyday Arches Dies; Glitter Sequins; #SOS541. ![]() Pumpkin Club February 22! Cupcake Inspirations #610 would like us to add a tag this round! In furtherance of my ongoing Christmas Card readiness resolution, I went straight for the Greetings of the Season bundle, which has a HUGE set of tag dies to go with it! I used an older retired paper for this one, but one that is so festive and cheerful to me - love the sketchy look of the designs in our retired Joy of Christmas pack! I stamped the sentiment on the largest tag, and added some fancy ribbon, along with these Holly Gems & Sequins - cute and quick! Greetings of the Season Stamp Set; Joy of Christmas DSP (retired); Basic White & Cherry Cobbler CS; Cherry Cobbler Ink; Greetings of the Season Dies; Cherry Cobbler Metallic Ribbon; Holly Berries & Leaves Sequins; #CIC610. ![]() Thank You Cards 2025! A fun fold always gives such a good chance to show off some fun DSP in new ways - even the simplest of them let you play with shapes and layers! I pulled out a simple z-fold card today, and decided to go with the bright happy colors in Friends of the Ocean DSP pack! I hadn't stamped the lobster yet, so he got to come out to play as well! I went right for one of the color combos suggested in the catty - Summer Sky and Pool Party - looks so good! I really haven't been using Summer Sky as much as I thought I would - so nice to have some paper inspiration for it finally! Ocean Friends Stamp Set; Friends of the Ocean DSP; Basic White, Summer Sky & Berry Burst CS; Summer Sky, Pool Party & Berry Burst Inks; Ocean Friends Dies; Sunny Day Iridescent Dots; #ICC184. ![]() Pumpkin Club January 25! The Male Room #194 is starting the New Year off with a clean and simple challenge! Yes! I have just the thing from the upcoming Online Exclusive preorder, too, lol. Here's a peek at Detailed Succulent, a lovely multi-step set! It's so pretty, and being from Arizona, I really can't lay off anything cactus or succulent themed, lol. The shoe fits! Anyway, I also couldn't resist featuring this with some retired Soft Succulent details - made for each other! I started with a background of Soft Succulent for my beauty, then added a stamped-off layer of Highland Heather - it looks like so many of the plantings I see in the yards around here! I added a spray of speckles for some texture, and finished with my last 5 Soft Succulent Opal Rounds. Love it! Detailed Succulent Stamp Set; Basic White & Soft Succulent (retired) CS; Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent (both retired) & Highland Heather Inks; Soft Succulent Opal Rounds (retired); #TMR194. ![]() Birthday Cards January 11 at 2 pm! I couldn't resist dipping back into my ephemera stash for this one - I have so much left even after classes and tags! I have this one big sentiment that I've been dying to use - just makes me think of winter wonderland scenes, and blessed nights! So, I naturally paired it with my retired-but-still-adored O Holy Night DSP - so many great things to do with all the starry sheets! I added a tiny 1/8" Silver Ribbon for my bow, and finished with a few Silver Glitter Sequins. Simple and glorious! Joyful Sayings Ephemera; O Holy Night DSP (retired); Basic White & Copper Clay CS; 1/8" Silver Ribbon; Silver Glitter Sequins (retired); #CIC608. ![]() No Pumpkin Club in December! I'm so excited to play along with penguins at Cupcake Inspiration #606! So you know I totally had to pull out my beloved Penguin Place set from 2022 - these guys are still SO cute! And of course I still have the DSP, lol, so I set up this pretty snowy scene for them to play in, complete with a hill for sliding, and a few tiny snowflakes! Bring on the snowflakes this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge #166! For today's snowflakes, I turned to last year's Wishes All Around bundle - my heart, the dies! I was most enamored of the modern tree ring stamp and die last year, and did lots of renditions of that, lol. BUT, there's also a snowflake wreath - yes! So today's card features that, with a few extra single flakes, all floating over this glorious flocked sheet from our old Snowflake Specialty Vellum pack. Snowflakes in every bite, lol. I do love the look of Fresh Freesia for Christmas, so I did a study in that with white - looks crisp and fresh! I can't wait to see YOUR snowflakes this round, too - meet you at the challenge! After some thought, I decided to try a little bit of chalkboard action, but I also couldn't resist combining my older coffee sets with our yummy A Little Latte DSP, lol. I set up this fun coffee background, then created two coffee cups from our old Coffee Cafe and Merry Cafe sets - they work perfectly together! A pretty swirly cup with the "coffee helps" sleeve says it perfectly, along with the smaller woodgrain cup and a "you and coffee" phrase, lol. I think they look great together!
