Time for a sketch this week from SU Only #246, you get to take your pick from page 42 of the Spring Mini catty! I had to go for the one that had the big banner on it - I love me a good banner! And since I've been in the garden so much this week, I also decided to go for my Garden Goodness set - I can never get enough of this avocado, lol. Today yummy color combo is Garden Green with Soft Sea Foam, I think it makes for a pretty good looking avo! So, what will YOU choose? I can't wait to see your creations, over at the challenge! Garden Goodness Stamp Set; So Very Vellum DSP; Whisper White & Old Olive CS; Soft Sea Foam, Garden Green, Crumb Cake & Early Espresso Inks; Stitched Shapes Dies; Banner Triple Punch; Old Olive Enamel Dots; #SUOC246.

Oo, what a walk down memory lane at The Male Room #132 - "at my grandfather's house!" I have so many happy memories of times at Grandad's - he was always happy to spend time with us - picking wild berries, like huckleberries and mulberries, working in the garden (the time he got my brother to pee on the electric fence line was PRICELESS!), pony rides on Tara, a homemade slip-n-slide with garbage bags and dish soap, and excursions on a nearby pond, though usually actually in an innertube. His canoe was usually filled WITH water, and was a goldfish pond for a while, lol. Nevertheless, my By The Dock set never fails to remind me of Grandad, and all our good-times. Miss you, Grandad, your angel loves you always. By the Dock Stamp Set; Whisper White, Night of Navy & Pool Party CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Pool Party & So Saffron Blends Markers; Dockside & Stitched Shapes Dies; Seaside EF; Poppy Parade Heavy Baker's Twine; #TMR132. Oh wow, what a fun sketch this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments #335! I decided to get pretty creative with this one, and turn it on its side! Then I went totally off the rails and made it a dog card - who could resist this super cute sentiment in these crazy times? This card is for my dear, dear friend Cross, a 95-year old gentleman that I normally visit with every week, and haven't been able to see lately for his safety. I miss him SO much, and I know he's missing the company... This card is from my chocolate lab Bella to his sweet pup Sugar - I always have a treat for her, too, (while we share our Starbucks and chat, lol) so I thought maybe SHE could use a card as well, and give Cross a much needed laugh while we're at it! Bella has QUITE a bit to say! Stay safe everyone! Happy Tails Stamp Set; Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Pacific Point & Chocolate Chip (retired but saved for my dogs' personal correspondence, lol) CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Real Red Inks; Rectangle Stitched Dies; Dog Builder Punch; Pacific Point Enamel Shapes (retired); #HSS335. Such a fun banded sketch we have at this week's Inspire Create Challenge #065 - so many possibilities! With such a wide open field, I just couldn't resist pulling out another gorgeous sheet of our upcoming Ornate Garden DSP - swoon! I matched today's pattern with Terracotta Tile, and had another fun go at playing with my dies - this time I made it LONGER - the little stitch marks make it SO easy to line everything up! I also snuck in a little scrap of the pretty ribbon that goes with this suite, and added a few pearls to move the eyes around. Love it! Ornate Thanks Stamp Set; Ornate Garden DSP; Whisper White & Terracotta Tile CS; Versamark & Terracotta Tile Inks; Shimmer White EP; Ornate Layers Dies; Basic Jewel Pearls; Terracotta Tile Ribbon; #ICC065. We're bringing in the sunshine this week at Fab Friday #186 - and we sure need it here! I don't think I've ever seen this much rain for so long here in Arizona, lol... I decided to play with my markers for this one, and give another sheet of my gorgeous Flowering Foils a spin. Cheery, right? This one was a little challenging - I actually had to use both a regular Stamp-n-Write Marker (that would be my Terracotta Tile, sigh) and then the rest in Blends. I am SO out of practice at the Stamp-n-Writes! Quite a bit of touch-up had to happen today, lol... I can't wait to see YOUR projects in our sunny colors - meet me at the challenge! Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set (inside); Flowering Foils DSP; Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Terracotta Tile Stamp-n-Write Marker; Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody & Pumpkin Pie Blends Markers; Happy Birthday Die; Faceted Dots in Terracotta Tile; #FabFri186. The Library Challenge #55 has a real tough one for us this week: How to Embroider Almost Everything! So, I spent some time searching for some retired stitchery sets I thought I still had - I guess I must have finally sold them, lol. I DID come across my In the City set, though, which has a ton of line-art little drawings in it ( that also have all kinds of two-step fill-ins, but I'm not using those!) I thought they could really look like the fun bookcover in all different colors, so that's what I did. I focused on "modes of transportation" for my theme, not sure why - I guess I might have a still-quiet touch of cabin fever, lol. I also had some fun playing with altering the size of the Stitched So Sweetly dies - works like a charm, just like all the stitched dies! In the City Stamp Set (retired 2018); Whisper White & Basic Black CS; Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay & Gorgeous Grape Inks; Stitched So Sweetly Dies; #TLC55. OK, I'm still trying to keep my hand in at Less Is More #415 - they're clean and simple brief is such a challenge for me, and this time it's a color challenge! Woo! I actually pulled a retired color to try and meet this challenge - I have alas already let go of my old Raspberry Ripple, but I decided to give Rose Red a go instead, I think it matched up fine with my Melon Mambo and Basic Gray! I stamped with Abstract Impressions in an effort to see if I could actually fit all three colors on one image, and it came out very cool! I was surprised how much fun these colors are, I'm SO not a pink person, lol. Abstract Impressions Stamp Set; Whisper White & Basic Gray CS; Melon Mambo, Rose Red (retired) & Basic Gray Inks; Melon Mambo Candy Dots (retired); #LIM415. Pumpkin Club March 28! It's with some irony that I pull out my Timeless Tropical set to tackle this sketch - we're supposed to leave for a Maui trip in less than 10 days, to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, and that seems like it's off the table in the face of all our ongoing health crises. Unfortunate, but not worth risking our health or all those we may come into contact with. So this simple card might have to tide me over for a tropical trip for now, lol - Aloha, indeed! I can't wait to see YOUR creations with our sketch - meet me at the challenge! Timeless Tropical Stamp Set; Tropical Oasis DSP; Whisper White & Soft Suede CS; Memento Tuxedo Black Ink; Old Olive, So Saffron & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Stitched Shapes & In the Tropics Dies; Braided Burlap Trim, Frosted Epoxy Droplets; #TSOT450. Here's one I haven't seen before - As You See It #221 has a challenge to make our favorite kind of card to SEND - what a fun idea! Now, I send and hand-off a LOT of cards. All year 'round. Birthdays, anniversaries, hello, just because, thinking of you, occasions, heck you see 'em all here - I send a little bit of everything I make, lol. But when it comes to a TYPE, well, I'm still a die-hard Christmas list maintainer, and that is definitely my largest single category that I SEND, and love. I have lots of folks that probably only hear from me at Christmas, and all they have to do to keep that going is send one back - cue the heavenly choirs! Today's card is a quick hit with the still amazing Perfectly Plaid set, this time matched with Toile Tidings DSP - so classic! The only fancy thing about this card is the custom-length banner shape from the All Dressed Up dies - I was able to shorten it a little for this sentiment! Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set; Toile Tidings DSP; Very Vanilla & Garden Green CS; Garden Green, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz & Real Red Inks; All Dressed Up Dies; Pine Tree Punch; Garden Green Glitter Dots; #AYSI221. I hope you like our fresh Spring colors this week at Sunday Stamps #227 - I sure do! I decided to go back to my 2017 Basket Bunch bundle for this one - so many little pieces to play with and arrange - I tried to hold myself back a little for you, lol. A simple basket with Spring-y eggs and a sweet bunny were all we needed! So glad we have our Blends back for coloring! I can't wait to see what YOU do with these fun colors - see you over at the challenge! Basket Bunch Stamp Set (retired 2017); Whisper White & Night of Navy CS; Memento Tuxedo Black & Pear Pizzazz Inks; Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Night of Navy, Mango Melody & Petal Pink Blends Markers; Basket Bunch Dies; #SSC227.
