I wanted to post the little instruction sheet I put together for the Easter bonus class "Shadows & Banners." Really just a quick recap of the shadow box "recipe" I built for us before, and the assembly advice on the banner flags. Here it is for those that like to keep those things. I also wanted to share a cute pic of the ADORABLE little treats I made for the girls, from the new Summer Smooches promo, of course! That Petite Purse die was just burning a hole on my desk! Had to break it in! Here's the word - easy as pie, quick like a bunny, and fun fun fun to doll up! I'm hooked! Summer Smooches DSP; Rick Razzleberry & Daffodil Delight CS; Summer Smooches Designer Fabric brads; Mini Brads, brights; Paper Piercing pack; White Uniball pen.

OK, with Sale-A-Bration's end looming ahead of us this Saturday, I am SO excited to share with you SU!'s 2012 catalog preview special offer - the Summer Smooches suite! You can click on the picture to go to a full-size pdf of the flyer. The paper, brads, stamp set and ribbon are all totally cute - look for a project at next month's class! (That'll be 4/18, for the planners among us!) What you really need to peek at, though, on the back of the flyer, is the new die for the Big Shot - the Petite Purse! Yow! It is the cutest thing ever, and VERY versatile, I'm seeing baskets, purses, fishing creels for the men in our lives, doctor bags... Amazing! This suite goes on sale for the month of April, and then will be on hiatus until the new catalog comes out June 1st - so dip in your toes! OK, enough people asked for a quick class for that shadow box that I guess that has made the menu! To round out the Easter decor, we'll also have this banner, make sure to click on the picture to go to a full size version, and you can go here for a detail photo. With Sale-A-Bration winding down, I decided that it was a good time to start using up our almost gone Everyday Enchantment DSP (sob!), so this banner is that result! You can make yours say what you like, no more than 10 or 11 letters please! If you let me know ahead of time, I can try to have your letters ready for you - otherwise, the banner says, "Alleluia!" Class will be held this Wednesday evening, Mar 28, 6:30 pm. Make sure to RSVP, as it's coming on fast, and I want to prep as much as I can for you! Had some time to just play today - can't remember when the last time that was! I decided that I need to keep the trend going of filling in my shadow box inserts, so even though I love my Easter decorations already, what's a little bit more? I was so sad at the retirement of A Good Egg, had to trot it out for this project, along with the also retired Bunny Hugs. I have been SO stuck on this Cheerful Treat DSP, too, but the colors really do go with my other decorations... Plus, I want to use it while it's still current - can't believe the new catalog comes in June! Enjoy! Bonus class, anyone? Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Concord Crush, Melon Mambo, Bashful Blue & Lucky Limeade CS; Cheerful Treat DSP; A Good Egg, Bunny Hugs, Crosses of Hope & Well Scripted stamp sets; Lucky Limeade Ruffled & Organdy ribbons; Lace Ribbon Border, Key Tag & Decorative Label punches Thought I'd share a quick picture of the cute "treat tubes" I gave away for Easter class! So easy and quick - cut a piece of cardstock 5" by however long you want the tube to be. Score every 7/8" - the leftover will be enough for a tab to glue the tube closed. Make sure you punch a window and cover with a piece of window sheet first, though! It's easier to add the ribbon now, too, if you do this "tote" style. Punch 2 Fancy Flower punches from a coordinating paper, score the petals to fold inward, and glue on one end, fill the tube, and glue the other end. Voila! Here are the class instructions for the cards from class as well - enjoy! Here are some quick pillow box treats I made for my church ladies - lucky them, their class was right before St. Patrick's Day! A few different DSP sheets run through on the pillow box die, a pleasant hour coloring in the St. Patrick's punch from the Gift Givers stamp set, and we were good to go! I layered the stamp onto the Fancy Flower punch for a bit more detail. Yum! Hi Everyone! Wanted to post a quick picture for next week's Easter class, which includes a quick bonus project for this cute "basket" made with the Perfect Settings die! Yes, you still get a treat from me, too! Let me know if you can make it - I need some time with my ladies after Spring Break last week! Ack! Whew, I needed a little break from planning my upcoming Easter class, and I realized we're a little light on the green around here! That's a problem! So I quick whipped up a March shadow box insert that's been on my mind to create for a while... Starting to fill in all the little holidays on my shadow boxes! Subtles DSP; Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz and Lucky Limeade CS; button from Springtime Vintage pack (Clearance Rack!), various embossing folders; Hearts Framelits; Afterthoughts stamp set. Stem from my string stash. I wanted to share a picture of the VERY cool make and takes we did at Regionals. It was kind of surreal, all the pieces were prepped and ready for me, and all the tools and adhesives were provided - it was like attending one of my own classes that I forgot I had put together! Both these cards used techniques that would never have occurred to me - amazing! For example, the little hearts that make up the flower and the leaf on the right hand card are actually punched and trimmed from the dotted kite from the set Send Me Soaring - brilliant! I'm looking at ALL my stamps in a new way now - they ALL have background stamp potential... So fun! Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Basic Grey, Lucky Limeade & Pool Party CS; Sweet Shop & Berry Blossoms DSP; Send Me Soaring stamp set |
