 What a cool idea - this week's Male Room #118 has a "flight" theme - excellent! I decided to go with something that flies, and I happen to have a stamp set waiting on my desk for recess - the lovely Friend Like You bundle. This set has some smaller stamp elements that go with some GORGEOUS edge-on dies called Friendly Silhouettes. I've chosen the water plants one for this card so I can show the cute little dragonflies "taking flight!" The set also has an awesome assortment of sentiments - I love it when the images and words are well mixed, lol. I made a bold blue background for everything with my Blue Brusho Crystals, and kept it lean for an outdoors kind of guy. Fun!  We have such a fun sketch for you this week at Fab Friday #171! Plenty of room for a lovely scene! That was my thinking, anyway, as I pulled out the super cute new Let It Snow DSP to play with. This is a specialty pack - check out these sparkly snowmen, lol! The paper is so fab I haven't even gotten the stamp set yet, though it does come with a handy snowman builder punch - so I think it won't take long to find its way here! Anyway, I kept things pretty simple here, and let the paper do the talking. The sentiment is from another sweet new set - Tidings All Around. OK, The Library Challenge #40 has a quirky one for us this week - Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. The art looks cute! I decided to do a little card inspired by the cover - not exactly the theme of the book, lol, but still a cute play on it! I went with my "sketchiest" birds, from the January 2019 Paper Pumpkin, Be Mine Valentine. Then I thought for a while and came up with these words to stamp using my old Labeler Alphabet (miss this one so much!) onto some Word Bubble die shapes. As you can see, I even kept the colors pretty close, too. I don't know why, but I want to crack up every time I look at this card - must be an inside joke, yuk, yuk. Too fun! (I stamped "You're so fly" on the inside!) I concentrated on the paper and the punches today - look how rich the copper metallic details are! I did both sizes of ornaments, and zhuzhed them up a little with a Blender Pen - yum! I didn't take me long to land on the gorgeous new Frosted Foliage suite, from our almost-here Holiday catty, The die set that goes with is called Frosted Frames - and look how beautiful it is! I kept things fairly simple here with my layers, choosing a stunning photo sheet from the Feels Like Frost DSP, and finishing with a few Faceted Dots. I can't help but feel like I think I love the Purple Posy best of all our new In Colors, and I still don't even have the ink, lol. Ahh, I love it when the stars align and I'm able to sneak in an extra challenge on my rotation! I can JUST squeeze in this week's TGIF #225 "all on black" challenge! Woot! So, I do have a big stack (ahem) of new goodies sitting on my desk waiting for their ink-christening, so I did a quick shuffle and came across the lovely Tasteful Textures bundle. While I didn't use the dies, I could see that some of these gorgeous patterns would awesome stamped and embossed on black, then colored with Blends, so that's just what I did! These are done in the new Shimmer White EP - so sparkly! I colored in Mango Melody, and added a Mango detail behind the sentiment, too - LOVE!
