I'm loving our little layered sketch this round at Sunday Stamps #328! I couldn't resist FINALLY inking up our cute new Sale-a-Bration set Watercolor Melon for this one! I normally wouldn't go for a set that doesn't have sentiments with the images, but it was FREE, right? Also, it goes with my new Modern Oval punch (yay!), AND, we have the mysterious new Thoughtful Moments hybrid embossing set chock-full of sentiments! I quickly set up my melon pieces and then tackled the new hybrid - I was VERY skeptical, lol. I did a trial run over the weekend in plain white (in front of my class, too, I was sweating, lol) but today I sponge-daubed some ink on my chosen sentiment, and ran it through for just the one - worked like a charm! Having the die go INSIDE the folder really takes out the smearing of inking the folder directly, because the die is between the folder and the paper - no smudging and I love the dimension! Can't wait to do more of these! I also can't wait to see YOUR layered projects for us this round - meet you at the challenge! Very fun use of this week's sketch! I love the realistic look of the watermelon, and great job thinking out of the box on the shapes.
