One of the little perks that I really enjoy about my volunteer work is the opportunity to share gifts and cards with my various boards and groups. I know that some might think it a bit of a chore, but I LOVE having multiple groups that I can give cards to, so I can satisfy my urge to create multiple designs for one holiday. That's why I have a "house" card, and then different cards for each board - it's so awesome to have an outlet for all these cards! Today's card is for my Vestry - I'm pretty sure no one on there reads my blog, so I can share it early to be in time for posting for this week's Retro Sketch #39, hee hee! For some reason this one really threw me for a loop - I've been staring at this sketch for a few days now, and finally got down to business today. I've decided I'm pleased with the result, too! Lovely As A Tree & Our Daily Bread Christmas Verses stamp sets; Whisper White, Early Espresso & Old Olive CS; Northern Flurry (retired) embossing folder; Apothecary Accents framelits; 5/8" Early Espresso satin ribbon; glittered brads, buttons & Early Espresso baker's twine.

I love that you captured the joy of creation (at many levels in this card); and visually, especially the spray of green in the branches on the embossed backdrop of snowflakes. The contrast and unity they reveal reflects the sense of belonging of each unique element of presentation.
