Oo, I love the arrangement of layers in this week's Retro Sketch #170! This seems like a great chance to try out a new challenge on the block, too (you know what a sucker for that I am, lol) - Stamp, Ink, Paper #3's color challenge! AND, something I rarely do, let's try and parley a third challenge this week: Merry Monday #165's challenge to use candles and flowers! Whew! A tall order! I've been itching to use my new Christmas set Every Blessing for almost a month now, lol - I had hoped to also be using the truly lovely silhouette image that goes with it, too, but alas, that's not the challenges we are finagling today, giggle. I decided to use the sentiment at least, and make up some candles to go with instead. I thought I'd sneak in some curry colors for the candle flames, but decided instead to go with the silver glitter for some touches of sparkle instead! Mission accomplished, I think! PS. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, BUT, I have totally converted to the new Thick Whisper White card stock we now have for all my white card bases - YES! So whenever you see a white card base, that is the new product - p 149, #140272, $7 for 24 sheets. Every Blessing & Build A Birthday Stamp Sets; Whisper White, Real Red, Bermuda Bay & Smoky Slate CS; Real Red, Bermuda Bay & Smoky Slate Inks; Silver Glitter; Elegant Dots Embossing Folder; Itty Bitty Flower Punch; Neutrals Candy Dots in White; 1/8" Real Red Taffeta. Christmas in July Class! It's the most wonderful time of the year! Yay! OK, can you tell how excited I am that we got Christmas back in the "Big Book?" Heather, I love this! These candles are so pretty for a Christmas card, and you certainly made the most of the three challenges. I love the embossed background too, that folder is going on my next order. Thanks for joining us this week at SIP!
