Merry Bethlehem (& A Project Life Announcement!)

Uh oh, another color challenge from this week's Merry Monday #104 - to use slate, kraft and white or cream!  In Stampin' Up!'s world, that translates to Smoky Slate (yum!), Crumb Cake (double-yum!) and either Whisper White or Very Vanilla.  Gorgeous!  After browsing what stamp sets I want to use, I also decided to pair this up with this week's Retro Sketch #110 - the shapes sort of suggest these lines to me...
Since we all know what a freak for layers I am, too, I also decided to sneak in a panel of Basic Gray to set off the card front.  While the finished card looks a bit subdued, I am thrilled with the end result - perfect and reverent - even the inside.
And before you say anything, NO, I wasn't trying to show snow in the desert - I was hoping it might come off as star-like, lol...
